  1. Just seem crash again on polish TV, clipped laguta back wheel and Dudek did very well to miss him. Get well soon Darcy!
  2. Match of the day speedway type programme on now with kolodziej special guest. Love it!!
  3. 1st polish league match for me at zielona gora and loved it. Hope Darcy is OK after clipping the back wheel of i think Dudek and crashing heavily. This totally divided the singing section of the stadium, before the crash it was probably 80-20 in favour of ward but after some of the singing section were singing awful things while he was on the track the majority in the singing section walked out and joined another section and all the stadium (apart from about 20 people were singing his name). Gollob might as well retire now as apart from Laguta and lesser extent Buczkowski and one of reserves they were terrible!
  4. Surely its not that difficult, get the freeloaders who do nothing / very little to pay half / full price depending on what they do = more money = better team = more fans!! Instead they get a poor team and blame it on finances rather than trying to sort other things out! If you add up over a season these people paying something then it soon adds up!
  5. Your spot on mate, I havent been this season and reading comments on here from 'certain' people and also the comments regarding length of time the meetings still take its not making me want to go. How many seasons now have meetings just dragged on?? There are 2 sets of ppl on here: The real fans who seem to want changes Friends of the promotion who stick up for them no matter what and come out with certain comments like 'who is available' and 'why change things'. Newcastle speedway need to look at why they are losing all these fans and why a couple of us are thinking of having a trip up to Berwick soon for our speedway fix!!
  6. Yes it does come at a cost but to keep families interested might be worth it! At the end of the day I (as well as many others by the looks of it) dont think they are doing enough and some unfortunately wont be returning! These 2 and half our meetings have been happening for years and they dont seem to be doing anything about it!
  7. They are in schools nearly every day of the week doing programmes, keeping kids involved and also inviting them to matches, once in a while the Diamonds will do that!! They also treat their fans excellently and keep things interesting for the kids during the breaks in play.
  8. To be fair if it closed down it would be the fault of the promotion, if they dont treat their paying customers fairly and do enough to get new fans in, then do enough to keep them then that would be down to them. If you are going to speedway for the first time and take the family the last thing you want is to be standing in the cold for 2 and a half hours and definitely would not go the following week, its also worrying hearing fans who are used to go every week saying the same. There used to be 6 of us who went but now its down to 2, this is due to lies from the promotion and it hurts when we have been going for over 30 years. No doubt we will still go to some speedway but not necessarily at Newcastle! Maybe they should try and promote the sport like Newcastle Eagles do (crowds of 2-3k) and Newcastle Thunder (crowds increased from 50-100 to 700-1500 in 6 months)
  9. As I have not been this season after looking at the updates I thought I had missed an eventful meeting and sounded lively, after hearing the meeting lasted 2 and a half hours and reading some of the comments on here I am glad I was not there, no meeting should ever take that long!
  10. Thats a shame, normally me and the family would of been to all 3 Newcastle matches this season and most of us have not been to any, some of the goings on at Newcastle are a joke to! I will go to odd ones, and maybe some meetings as a neutral but used to all nearly go to every home and most away matches.
  11. Yes thats true, most seem to be between £199 and £250 some just covering the guaranteed 17 meetings of league, league cup thing and 1 KO cup match. Workington's like ours covers full season and also got free programme last year. Berwick even do voucher books of 5 and 10 tickets which is also good idea which was mentioned last year. Ours is definitely most expensive. Poole Pirates one only £285 i think
  12. And that still happens I think from what I heard last season. Look at difference in prices! Shocking Workington Adult - £265 OAP/Students - £190 Children 5-15 - £65 Family (1 Adult & 2 Children) - £330 Family (2 Adults & 3 Children) - £595 Newcastle Adult £330 Concession £245 1 Adult and 2 kids would be £470 2 Adults and 3 kids would be £870
  13. Its not the riders or team thats the problem, if it was not for some of the hangers on, freeloaders and broken promises by promotion i would be there and getting a season ticket if it was bit cheaper. Been going now for over 25 years and the way the paying customer is treated is a joke really. Most expensive season ticket over both leagues is a bit of joke also when they know the made a mistake with the prices last year. People like you obviously do a lot for the speedway as you pay your way and also help at the track, fair play and if there were a few more like you then Newcastle Speedway would be in good shape, unfortunately the reason we are losing money is because of people who dont pay and get in for nothing meaning season ticket prices stay high.
  14. Yeah I know what you mean, well they are defo 4 season ticket holders down for next season.
  15. It could be worse they could be asking you to pay £330 like Newcastle are!
  16. SpeedwayGB ‏@SpeedwayGB 10m10 minutes ago NEWCASTLE- Steve Worrall will return to the 2015 Diamonds line-up.
  17. Your spot on mate, this team proves the promotion knew they got the team wrong. People can try and blame the fans as much as they want but they know the averages etc and it was their fault. This team is similar to start of last year and has to hit the ground running otherwise could be season over by June again. Kerr will hopefully be back, he is a gater and does not pass much but is more consistent than Rosen, Ludvig at away tracks where we could struggle. I am not sure if it would be better going with 2 stronger reserves (if possible) as Nielsen, Mills etc away from home are really poor. Lewis Rose is going to be a great rider and having him at reserve will benefit us.
  18. The funny thing is the promotion knew they had charged to much and have set the prices at the same rate!! If you look at the prices of other tracks season tickets ours are far to high going off the amount of matches you could end up with, we only got 21 this season (with a couple of groupons and the Peterborough match included).
  19. £330 for a season ticket after losing money (due to lack of fixtures) on this years ticket! 4 season tickets down next season, well done. Normal admission and groupons for me if i bother.
  20. On our track true as did not seem to enjoy it but on away tracks fought from the back many times and was easily our best rider. He seems to especially love the tracks like Peterborough and with it being close to his home he could end up there. I would love him back though. King, Kerr and Rose should be 1st ones we try to get back.
  21. I think it was same price for the earlier double header. The £2 parking at Edinburgh along with one of the highest admission charges in the league make it an expensive trip.
  22. No there isnt unfortunately I sent them a tweet and they confirmed that you would have to pay the double header price. I will be getting mine early as I think £27 is steep considering the double header at Berwick was only £20 I think.
