  1. Dont get me wrong here, team GB were always rags of the field for me with 2 second strings in the team but it puts in perspective how far we are behind from the bike tuning point of view watching this meeting. How badly wrong have the lads set the bikes up or are they just completely outpowered by the other 3 sides. Nicholls, rico and harris aint that inferior to bjerre, holta and hampel so what is the main problem ?
  2. May as well have the top 5 world teams on a big wide open longtrack arena and save the expense of 2 groups, that was nothing other than a total farce. 3 of the 8 nations entered couldnt win the conference league 4s ffs, totally pointless exercise.Typical stereotypical olsen garbage.
  3. Typical stereotypical boring danish slick pish,oh and i smashed the winner too,WALOS...
  4. I havent seen him pass one rider in about 5 years in england. He just passed 3 in one race ffs
  5. I put a thread up like this 3 months, incredibly the bloke has got even worse since then,a truly diabolical commentator, anyone would be better.
  6. i really like him as a ref, most of the riders seem to respect him, wouldnt have made any difference to zagar but he shouldnt have been excluded, feel sorry for hancock tho who always seems to get the rough edge of the stick.
  7. It just goes to show how hard speedway is going to be for GB and the aussies in years to come. Sullivan adams louis toddy loram, these lads are all in the twilight of theyre careers really, australia could be a faded force by 2010.
  8. At the end of the day TEAM GB were 20-1 outsiders of 4,they finished better than many predicted.Well done to all concerned.
  9. I am no fan of hans andersen but that exclusion tonight was nothing short of daylight robbery. Sometimes referees take a riders reputation into consideration before making a decision. the exclusion was a terrible refereeing decision.
  10. Sunny now in basingstoke, mother nature has done a lovely job.
  11. I hope there is a certain amount of shale on the track.Thje amount of rain we have had in 1/2 an hour was colossal.Should do the track the world of good..
  12. luckily middlo HAS eventually read the form book, good luck chris..
  13. I agree lupus, but apparently there were many chiefs and few indians with regard to reading thurs pm.
  14. I wathed a poole dvd from 2 yrs ago, mark loram must be the easiest going rider in the world and even he got the raving needle to hans, who in his usual style rode up the inside of the corner and aimed the bike at mark. As scotty eloquently stated last night"he has got loads of previous for that",well said scott, you should have shaken him firmly by the throat.
  15. For once i agree with delboy. It didnt help that the track was ripped to bits during practice, the trackstaff dont have enough time to do a proper job, being marshalled by olsen and sky as when they are allowed to water etc. However it was safe, nobody got injured and the 2 teams that looked favs to qualify both did so.Apparently it was 37 degs in the afternoon around the practice time,it will be a lot better on saturday, especially if ole denmark gets stuck on the motorway.
  16. that match was raced on a wednesday after the bowser broke down.It was like the m4 motorway after ht 2,if its got any grip in it the danes will find a way to get beat.On paper tho they look a good thing to win tonight.
  17. i thought that at first grachan, but he has always had boycies number round reading and look at the riders craig has beaten this year. Personally its a no brainer ,louis MUST replace stead,if middlo is a form book man he will make this correct change.
  18. Credit to GB,i didnt give them any chance. Middlo knows the form book,if he reads it correctly there is NO CHANCE of stead riding on thursday,he is mediocre round reading to say the least.
  19. No britpete, all bases covered,i wouldnt back gb at 100-1,i dont think they have a cat in hells chance to be perfectly honest, how ladbrokes went 3-1 poland for the heat on friday is beyond comprehension.
  20. Apparenently ladbrokes were 3-1 poland, god knows how they came to that price in a 2 horse race.
  21. Well done to hans tonight,as everyone says a rider of his calibre should be a GP rider. I thought some of crumps riding tonight was bordering on dangerous rather than fair.He stuffed both pedersens down the back straight a couple of times, admittedly the track was tricky tho.
  22. Fully agree with chris brown. The tracks that are man made just seem to break up and rut, very little in the way of clean passes that were made without another riders error.
  23. I wouldnt back stead at 5,000,000-1,andreas is about the right price tho,a squeak.
