  1. Terrific entertainment, a template for England on one day a week
  2. enjoyed the match, generally close and exciting with not a lap between the first and last like the other league ,only really going to be one winner but newcastle battled very gamely and not much went right for em, well prepared track, worth 15 quid let alone a fiver to watch that first class meeting.
  3. I'm pleased simota is doing well for the devils, I know it's a few years back but he was having a fair time of it in the top league for reading . I think he got a very bad injury at peterboro and you know what speedways like, it can take ages to recover the confidence. Good luck to him, well liked he was .
  4. What a terrible situation. I bought a tiny share a few years ago but tbh national league speedway on that massive track does nothing for me. At the end of the day the clubs been on a shoestring for a few years and unfortunately you can't run speedway on a couple of hundred customers some nights and keep afloat. As for who owns what faction of the club I haven't a clue but it seems a very tricky situation if things other than speedway aren't entailed in financial matters. God help em
  5. what a lot of complete twaddle you spout ffs. Let middlo manage eastbourne or plymouth on a budget and hed be in the khazi like the other managers.
  6. As a neutral I thought it was a pretty good match on a tricky surface. Witches have to feel happy with 12 lead as after 11 it was too close to call. Barker had a bad night but his first lap of ht 13 to let risager get away was terrific team thinking. Whilst Newcastle are a really good side I think 12 should be just enough for ipswitch unless the home reserves completely run riot on sunday
  7. I'm at Yarmouth up the coast and its windy with odd bits of drizzle. It looks like any rainfall should have gone by 4 ish. Any locals with a report later on would be helpful
  8. It all went wrong for the iow in ht 11 when a 3-3 turned into a 0-5 after Ellis shed a chain and the reserves bike caught fire, they completely collapsed after. The heathens will walk the league , well led , good reserve and top heatleaders. One thing tho, I thought this national league was for genuine up and comers ( of which it was great to see lots of youngsters on both sides last night) Do you really need the likes of boxhall (a capable prem league heatleader and an adequate elite league reserve ) poncing about in this league getting easy money rather than riding in a league that befits his talent?
  9. Despite being a commited team man sad to say we've seen the best of the bomber too . Top bloke but on the downgrade for me
  10. 3 riders tonight, all EL 2nd strings/3rd heatleaders. Woodward, bridger , barker, how can one ride efficiently to rack up a fair score and the other 2 seem to be riding at 110% but being pretty modest Is it a bit of an ego thing ?
  11. Glad that cook shows passion on and off the track. He's still young , still improving and will prob be a regular member of the gee bee side in years to come. Sadly the facts are that we don't have enough English talent in our so called top league to create a competitive 4 man side Writing this I think of the terrific lee rico who donned the British bib with such aplomb during his all too short life
  12. Good luck to Bridger, a much improved rider , hope he has a good meeting
  13. It wasn't an enthralling watch tbh, I found Scott Nicholls the shining light on the viewing front.
  14. Keep getting smashed to bits at home and the fans stay away and the club shuts. No vendetta here , James wright has to be first to go, he was regressing badly at somerset and has gone completely. Big joe can't carry 2 or 3 passengers
  15. Credit to the sport. He was the man who almost singled handedly turned the pirates from a side in the doldrums to a team with passion and determination around the millennium. They've flourished in every way since then. I always liked the way he rode round the showground tbh, he could sneak round there a treat. Hope he's not lost to the sport
  16. Schramm is a belting signing, with decent kit and fully fit surely he is a 6.5 man ?
  17. No doubt nicki rode the man not the track. Wasn't there a rule you had to go 30 yards straight before turning left and pole axing the rider on your inner Nicki needed to be another wheel length in front to pull that move tbf As for the ref I spose he took the easy option . Well done to Chris on a deserved title Well done to crumby for a great gp career
  18. Nicki rode the man not the track, Tatum talking uber rubbishe as usual
  19. fair play to ales dryml, hes had a cracking night, fast all evening.
  20. Good racing, batchelor riding like a national league wobbler tbf.
  21. Cert away win, the iow have a heinously weak side since they got rid of the middle order to accomodate the dreadlocked one.
  22. WIZZER would make a fine GB boss in time, eloquent, good motivator etc etc
