What a fetid performance from the pirates. Im looking forward too shovvys report already -
Well done cov. Eastie arent a patch on yrs gone by, the no2 position is occupied by a reserve and the top end strength is ok but no better than many other sides
-
Would jake knight be a 2 ?
-
Im not liking the team tbh, powell is an underwhelming signing on his average, i cant have dugard on my mind in the top 5 either. averages dictate these things obviously
-
The 39 limit is a killer for a side like eastbourne who tend to have biggish home wins year on year. Very hard to get continuity.
-
knot going to be easy for eastie to put a gd side together. Baileys at mildy, knights average mustn't fit into their plans . early doors obviously but mildenhalls side looks a complete stand out
-
real intent from mildenhall, great looking side so far

I dont think bates has an atom of being an eagle next yr

Mildenhall V Eastbourne / Iow Sunday 29th October
ruckerroo replied to cityrebel's topic in National League Speedway
Well done eastie and a plucky effort from the fen tigers. Just a really good 2 legged final ruined by lack of availabilty in leg 1 -
Dear oh dear. Is there a place in any form of speedway for stoke ?
-
The answer is there is no answer. The infernal aggro of doubling up and down in 2 and 3 leagues has caused total carnage this season and will continue to do so. ive never known such a rotten mess and tbh i feel sorry for the fen tigers
-
Hate to be negative but didnt go tonight and shant go to the 2nd leg purely and simply because of mildenhalls incapability of getting a decent no 1 for the away leg. Surely richard hall, hurry or somebody must have been available, no slight on luke harris btw. I cannot abide going to watch one sided matches, eastie one ef away from 4 riders unbeaten, pah, keep it.

the other issue is cramming all these meetings into the last 10 days of the season, impacts on too many teams esp ones with two riders chasing trophys -

Belle Vue Colts V Eastbourne. 18 Oct

Whilst i think belle vue will win over the 2 legs theres no reason eastbourne shouldnt hit the 35-38 pt mark to make it a good final leg. first 4 heats are crucial, 15-9 after 4 and its game on, 19-5 like lots of colts matches and theres neigh way back. wood, knight and bailey are capable of winning races, brennan rode well there last time after 2 rides to suss the track, should be a good spectacle and may the best side win. -
Eastbourne Eagles V Belle Vue Colts 14/10/2017
ruckerroo replied to sussex bulldog's topic in National League Speedway
Somehow belle vue got away with a 12pt defeat despite really only 2 of their side riding the track well. The 20m tractor break was lunacy with the fog already descending. Hope mellish is ok after his alarming wallop. Eastie made too many little errors, leads 12 which aint enough, could and should have been 18-20. Impressed with colts team ethic snd they can all gate -
Kent were dead after 3 races tbh, bowen decked it when clear , hopwoods tape exclusin and that was that. Eastbourne were very solid, track was smooth and fast. Hopwood was great for kent, wood and brennan awesome for eastie. Hope bowens ok after an identical ht 11 fall as ht 1 Salient proof tonight that speedway meetings arent won on facebook and at times expectation doesnt achieve anything but pile pressure on riders
