a boost for the sporting sect is that goodwood are looking to run a meeting at theyre racing festival the last week in july, attendance around 5,000 as a trial, members and owners attending. Thoroughly sensible idea, if 5,000 can go there which takes 5 times that then it should open the flood gates for other sport from early august.
15,000 rioters in a BLM march crammed into one street 4 wks ago hasnt seemed to cause a spike despite ZERO social distancing.
Very little to worry about if we apply common sense.
i agree 100%, i know its safe but catering etc are a reasonable proportion of monies gained by tracks and promotions, that could be the tipping point as wether running or not for them.
We will have to live alongside this virus for a good wee while, the economy gets boosted by leisure arenas opening, unless you want every sporting venue to lock its doors and never return you better hope things get back to normality sooner rather than later.
Even the more moderate prem lge football teams cant make it pay with no fans going thru the turnstiles.
im not the one being stupid
There wont be any spectator sport to worry about unless they stop pissing about and open the economy up properly. They want the economy too sing and have only invited 25% of the choir.
On reading a tweet from hove greyhound stadiums it looks like all stadia are licenced via the sports ground safety authority. It looks like possibly owners of greyhounds and horses may be able to attend from july 4 and some sort of crowd allowed around a month or so after .
Its a bit demoralising to see the public 40 deep at bournemouth beach flouting SD rules mind you
restaurants and pubs to reopen
Hairdressers to reopen
Hotels and campsites to reopen
OUTDOOR LEISURE ACTIVITIES CAN RESUME
Places of worship to reopen
SD 2M REDUCED TO 1M
Surely that's very good news for speedway getting up and running .
The moon is made of pancake batter too. All the trainers have been offered other avenues. Stadia uk are great at shutting tracks, not very gd at reopening them tho
The club has gone from one of the worst for information to probably the best in the couple of yrs ian jordans been there, a family run club in every way, always clear concise reasoning too.
