  1. ive not had a days work since march 14, i dont really want to drive 3 hrs to plymouth or 4 to scunthorpe so i will have to wait til 2021 unless somewhere more local gets dispensation to race
  2. Hope everyone had a great time. Send the video to the government and get them to justify why elite sports cant do what plymouth have so well tonight, good stuff
  3. One thing to consider is the poles are absolutely race fit , practice is all well and good but the english lads have had no racing, bewley and a fit brennan can hold their own i feel. The less said about the track the better.
  4. onwards and upwards for plymouth now ian jordans behind the scenes.
  5. THEY have white angel, the regular you tuber with the polish matches
  6. Stadiauk/ gaming international are a feral organisation. Alleycat morals
  7. RiP Poole stadium another notch on bill glass bedpost
  8. There are minnows in lots of leagues but rybnik are just completely outclassed esp away from home, theyve made the step up so really are entitled to strengthen up, pre season you just knew what was going to happen
  9. I just cant have the differential that stock cars are ok at ipswitch but speedway isnt. The yarmouth situation just muddys waters really but why is it safe there and not safe at say hove dogs etc etc. To my eyes its made up as they go along
  10. Yarmouth greyhounds are opening sat night with crowds. The gen manager argued with the council that dog racing is not an elite sport and his judgement was passed. I would bet good money that any saturday night dog track in summer will get at least as many thru the gate as a speedway side in the uk. Dress it up how you like but i think the liason with government has been virtually non existant from the speedway direction, irrespective of wether it was worth attempting to start
  11. freesport seem too have uncannily managed to get all the one sided walkovers
  12. Central park dogs get plenty of cash from the greyhounds being streamed all over the world via media rights, .that would have been the issue for all greyhound /speedway stadiums even if they got an august start. Poole were a million to one to race this season once they shut the dawgs down.
  13. I agree 100%, they had to force the issue , there is no way speedway can be graded an elite sport alongside football, rugby and racing.
  14. Unless the powers that be can get a clear concise answer from sport and culture within 10 days i dont think theyve any choice but to call stumps this season. Its not an elite sport by any stretch and you couldnt call gatherings mass . The government are keener for the culture vultures to go too a fetid opera or a show indoors than let people go for a pleasant evening in the fresh air where the current odds are 2,000-1 to catch even a symptom of this media driven virus.
  15. completely agree, def top 4 no probs, v good at home and a few riders capable away, reserves never outclassed either
  16. Did they not mention elite sport yesterday , from oct 1. Surely speedway isnt going to be put under that banner
  17. Its the hope that kills you really. These promoters are going to need clarification by late july to be ready to go mid august. The silence is deafening on the sporting with crowds front. Ladbrokes/coral own 4 dog tracks, all 4 councils have been asked if crowds can return, 1 yes, 1 no and 2 abstentions so far have been the replys
  18. a boost for the sporting sect is that goodwood are looking to run a meeting at theyre racing festival the last week in july, attendance around 5,000 as a trial, members and owners attending. Thoroughly sensible idea, if 5,000 can go there which takes 5 times that then it should open the flood gates for other sport from early august.
  19. 15,000 rioters in a BLM march crammed into one street 4 wks ago hasnt seemed to cause a spike despite ZERO social distancing. Very little to worry about if we apply common sense.
  20. i agree 100%, i know its safe but catering etc are a reasonable proportion of monies gained by tracks and promotions, that could be the tipping point as wether running or not for them.
  21. We will have to live alongside this virus for a good wee while, the economy gets boosted by leisure arenas opening, unless you want every sporting venue to lock its doors and never return you better hope things get back to normality sooner rather than later. Even the more moderate prem lge football teams cant make it pay with no fans going thru the turnstiles. im not the one being stupid
  22. There wont be any spectator sport to worry about unless they stop pissing about and open the economy up properly. They want the economy too sing and have only invited 25% of the choir.
