stick to playing with toys , Lewis Bridger proved that everything you just said is bullrubbish on friday at Somerset .

titanium valves ,conrods, valve rockers look good do they ? you have never seen any of these items or will ever understand the difference they make or the expense of them . thats more than likely why the Technical committee allowed the use of twit because they thought it looked good and made them look like they knew what they were talking about .

virgin is just as expensive as sky . in the last 18 months every time I get my bill it has gone up a little , if the CEO of sky is worth his salt he will know about the pisspoor service and rising cost of virgin and he'll tell you to jog on . If you can call them cut backs . the fact is they have wasted so much money on football that other sports have to miss out . I dont see that wasting billions on football will get them any more subscriptions but not showing speedway will cost them quite a few , lets hope it's enough to make them take notice ,

does it really matter ? the important thing is that 6 out of 7 are Full Assets . well it must be important because each press release announcing the latest rider stresses the point

Speedway Attendances At Brandon
speedibee replied to brandonmole's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Shame we can't still attract 3.500 a week like they do at the other end of the M69 , I think it must be all the concrete terracing and permanent buildings that put people off Cov .well that and allowing dogs in the stadium -
2 years back I would have agreed . but now we have a thriving amateur set up with the MDL , so lads can now join an MDL squad and prove themselves worthy of a chance by virtue of their results and dedication to the sport . so theres no need for promoters to be signing Lottery tickets .just one more thing to add . signing riders on the chance they could be value added is not fair on the people who pay to watch , they expect to be watching a team built to win not a team to potentially , make money .
-
I would like to see the financial aspect of the asset system removed somehow as this is affecting the the signing of riders rather than their ability , this years NL has seen a larger than usual amount of signings of untried riders of dubious quality , the reason for this is rather like the reason for buying a lottery ticket , one of the untried could be another Richie Worrall and would attract a reasonable fee if then sold on . unfortunately for every Richie Worrall there are a hundred lads who will never make the grade , and while these lads are given opportunities on the off chance they could bring in some cash others who are never going to be world beaters but are dedicated and solid scorers walk away disillusioned by being cast aside .

It's a shame for the lad that he is the only NL rider who has to work for a living and needs Sishake to come on here trying to get some sympathy for him.. all of you others could learn something from this lad he is having to work to be able to ride, while you lot sit at home playing X/Box and having everything fall into your laps . I bet most of you wont be reading this as you will be sleeping off your hangovers after P1ssing all your parents money away last night Hey, you spoilt selfish swines you !!

sure thing and even if they couldn't get more it's good news to have a potential new track anyway , I dont see why they think speedway should be moved to weekdays though , those of us who have lads in the NL understand well enough that getting time off for midweek meetings is already hard enough , without adding another midweek team if it's not necessary , of course theres always some who will think that because they can get off work at 4.30 and make it to 1 meeting a week ,that its easy for young lads and their dads/ mechanics to keep taking days off work .
-
surely any potential investor would be looking to eventually step up into at least premier league , 14 meetings a year would prevent that . also weekday racing in the NL?? . it's much easier to build a NL team with weekend racing from a work point of view and I would think to most riders /mechanics preferable

how many times has Coventry opened and closed again a few months later ?, it has never been successful as a dog racing venue despite the primary sport for the stadium having to arrange it's race program to suit dog racing . and how long will the dog racing doors stay open this time ?

I think any rider who has had a fee paid for them who then chooses not to ride in the uk . should be made to reimburse the promotion the fee or not be allowed to ride anywhere . any rider who has been brought up to standard by a single club who makes the same choice should have his value estimated by the BSPA and be made to pay that amount before riding elsewhere.

speedibee replied to SarahLapworth's topic in National League Speedway
There are more than enough riders to fill the spaces In both the MDL and NL Iris . no problem at all .there are loads of lads at Nl standard who dont have team places and are Pissed off about the fact , so trying to get team places for Dutch riders in our training leagues will only have the effect of making more genuine british prospects become disillusioned and walk away from speedway . . Phil Morris brings them on with his under 15 training program and then when they should be ready to step up theres nowhere for them to step up to !! he most definitely will . pick one from the list I posted earlier . and that was only some of them . -

I think Iris 123 has had the final say on this one , surely being the Dutch national champion in 2006 and riding in that championship every year as well as in international meetings in Belgium and Germany as a Dutchman should mean he is not eligible to claim he is brtiish and ride in the MDL or NL . -

I know exactly what I am talking about and so do you , having had many conversations with you over the years about the best way to promote British riders for British speedway , to be honest I find your opening post both offensive and hurtful for a number of reasons . but it's not worth arguing the toss , there have been so many instances of the kind of behaviour you are promoting that the national league is now full of plastic brits while the real british kids drift away to other sports or just leave speedway disenchanted by the lack of opportunities . so the MDL which started with so much promise has now become Europes training scheme . just like all the other initiatives that have been put in place to further the future of British speedway riders winds up being used for the benefit of foreigners . -

further to this heres a list of some riders who are teamless , Chris Widman , James Cockle , Liam Rumsey , Liam Carr , Richard Andrews , Matt Bates , Michael Neale , Steve Jones , Benji Compton , Ryan Blacklock , Ross Walter , Ryan Terry- Daley , Danny Phillips Tommy Fenwick . the list goes on , this is without mentioning the kids In the MDL and AJL who are waiting to step up and take their chance .... -

speedibee replied to SarahLapworth's topic in National League Speedway
yes good luck to the lad . maybe when there are a few more like James Whyte - Williams and a very long list of other genuine british kids who have given up speedway through frustration at lack of opportunity . the MDL and NL can offer opportunities to anyone who has even the most tentative link to a british passport . I dont personally hold anything against Pascal he will like everybody else take what chances he can get . what really annoys me is the co-ordinator of the mdl which is supposed to be the breeding ground for a new generation of british talent using his influence to promote yet more bloody foreigners to take whatever opportunities they can from the mouths of those he is supposed to be championing , these people have influence at the very core of British speedway and seek to take away opportunities from the very people they should be breaking their necks to help , no wonder British speedway is in such a sorry state . -

speedibee replied to SarahLapworth's topic in National League Speedway
If you agree that the MDL co-ordinators should be actively seeking to take opportunities from real british lads then you have some sort of problem . I dont know if there is any appropriate action that the BSPA can take but if there is I hope they do . . no wonder theres no british kids coming through when you have people involved in the lowest tier of speedway taking it upon themselves to promote foreigners in preference to genuine british kids ,and people like you encouraging them . -

speedibee replied to SarahLapworth's topic in National League Speedway
You should be ashamed of yourself . genuine british Kids are on the sidelines because there are no places left and you want to fill spaces in the national league with fake Brits I hope the BSPA are watching you bending the rules and openly advertising the fact .and take appropriate action . -
Perceived Nl Reserve Or Junior Teams
speedibee replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
I thought the support had dwindled so much that matt ford pulled the plug not sure kids have the relative presentation skills to be standing in front of their peers trying to extol the virtue of something that is not football. I agree with most of your other points though . so many people tell how neighbours and work colleagues don't know that speedway still exists . -

Half the NL riders would have to ask for time off school to visit a school -
