I've had virgin for years and it's a nice bonus to have the speedway on MY Tv instead of having to go to a sky subscribers house or a speedway friendly pub , I think Sky might Just regret letting this go when they see the viewer figures , and the amount of people who have ditched sky sports

Well at least one good thing will come from all this , speedways street cred will have a boost , Poole will have increased attendance due to the local hoodies turning up . I can see them now in the park with bottles of white star on thursdays , yea man sick innit , i went to dat speedway fing last night innit, it was sick man A bro from the Aussie is winnin all de races while the fossils is all cheering him on innit , dem old farts don't know that the bro is off his head on da smoke and the cans and they is thinking he is da bomb innit . I dont know if all them speedway riders is on the smoke but if they are it cant be as good as the Darcy bro's rubbish cos he is still beating them all innit , I think we should get a posse and go down there next week , we can mug a few fossils and maybe meet up with Darcy Bro after for some smoke and a bit of trouble down the pub innit ,- 665 replies

Well said Ford ..no reason he cant get his visa and continue to ride . he obviously realises that he should not keep breaking the law and will take steps through professional help to make sure it appears he is doing all he can to become a model citizen . no need to ban the lad for 12 months or take any other action Darcy and his psychiatrist are working hard to create the illusion that he really is sorry for his constant misbehaviour -

And me ,TWK I just learned that speedway is easy , suppose that's why riders from other sports say not bloody likely you have to be a nutter to ride one of them things on a narrow track with 3 other nutters and no brakes , but then again if 2 world champions are saying it's easy I suppose it must be

afraid not Mick , I don't wear glasses , cant sing , and have a massivley wide parting -
saying that the extra power is wasted is misleading really . good tuners and great riders will be able to make the power usable . so a factory pilot such as Gollob who has both the technical backup and rider skill to make use of it will be seen to have an advantage . lesser riders will then think that the only reason they dont go as fast as gollob is because he has it and they don't . which is partly true , so the parts will become the key to success for many .

Titanium has been banned in speedway for many years . and I thought it was the SCB/BSPA who had relinquished the ban , but reading another thread its the FIM who have unbanned it , what the F*ck has the technical side of the poor relation sport got to do with the FIM .. they do nothing for the poor speedway and know even less about running it , so why cant the British, Polish ,Swedish , and Danish federations tell them to butt out and tell riders it's still banned . If the FIM don't like it . Tough
-
Dean please take the time to explain exactly what Titanium parts are going to be used , and be sure to explain the weight issue .and its performance enhancing side fully over say 20 pages for all those who still think that we are talking about lighter handebars and push bars etc . I am not the most techincally proficiient person but I do understand that a light and pretty conrod made form Titanium is far easier to move as are valves and valve gear . but there are some who keep posting the same misconception about the lightness of titanium being valuable only because it makes the bike lighter . they Especailly 21st heathen are doing my nut in
-
The parts where titanium is useful and mighty expensive are inside the engine and .only those who have little idea of it's uses are suggesting that its being used because it looks good . no one sees a titanium con rod , valve , or cam follower . but lighter parts inside the engine can help it to rev more . and allow for slightly longer valve openings . so increased fresh charge can flow though the engine and increase BHP . its not used as an overall wight saving device just so that specific engine parts are less open to mechanical weight forces . exactly . what i said earlier . allow titanium to increase revs , then add a rev limiter to reduce the revs . win win if you are a supplier of either Titanium "Engine" parts or rev limiter , lose lose if you are a rider paying for this crap . to achieve nothing

my BP has just reached 165/ 95 so this is going to be my last word on this subject between me and you , I only quoted those 4 GP riders as an example. once one has it all will have to, just in case it is of a tiny advantage . those bikes will soon be used in polish extraleague and british elite league ,so within weeks all the worlds best riders will have titanium engines ( No dont even think about it . I mean engines with tianium parts in them !!!)so the waterfall is well underway in no time !!
-
Will the likes of Gollob , Hancock Hampel ,and especailly Andreas Jonsson etc boycott anything for the good of all , or will they grasp the chance of a tiny advantage and not care about the overall health of speedway or the costs to riders who dont have major sponsors to buy the super parts , Will they F*ck .. so off we go . Gm change production to Titanium followed by Jawa (if someone buys the Business ) and the waterfall is set in motion . 3 years time all engines will contain titanium . and guess who loses out again . yes you do because you will be paying £30 to get in to a meeting .
-
It wont make any difference for the GP riders either they wont go any faster because they wont be able to get the grip but they wont be worrying about the cost either .. Long term everyone will have to use the stuff . In a limited market the choices are also limited . so Gm and Jawa will makes engines with Titanium parts and no option for steel or normal aluminium . so as the engines get sold on , premier and national league riders will be buying engines with Titanium parts in them and will have no choice at service than to replace worn stuff with the titanium as it was built with . If Titanium was not far more expensive why has it's use been banned by the Scb for 30 years ?
-
If they ain't they should be !! and they don't cost as much as titanium .!! are you an immigrant from a country that supplies Titanium ?
-
could well be true Long one . but we are talking about speedway engines which are currently all using regrindable steel valves . which will then be replaced with titanium valves that cost 3 times as much last half as long and need replacing rather than regrinding , anyway waht do you know about speedway . bloody cov fans !!
-
spin Dave . Titanium has a shorter lifespan than the other metals used , One instance is titanium valves cannot be reground as steel valves are many times , when the mating surface gets worn titanium valves have to be replaced
-
SCB/BSPA are working on rev limiters to save stress and expense on engines but then allow the use of expensive Titanium parts that allow the engine to rev more by virtue of their lighter weight .
-
you have completely lost me !! make your mind up , one minute if your head is right you can win races on substandard equipment the next a load of waffle about clutches and mental toughness
-
He wanted to prove your theory by riding an upright , tried it and got drubbed by national league riders
