  1. Sadly its already happened. jason pipe says he no longer wants to be involved in MDL so thats peterborugh and buxton , and steve cook has quit as long eaton manager , The Bspa want registration fees from teams , managers licenses to be paid for , all the riders Licensed and Meetings run according to the rules they set , yet turn a blind eye when Official fixtures get cancelled without good reason !!
  2. I have no problem with lads riding as much and for as many teams as they like , but at the end of the day they need to be held accountable to 1 team in the first place . lets have no more I cant make it here or there tonight , because Im riding for another team at my local track instead , of course when you are riding out of your own pocket and with assistance from family members there will be times when you cant make it for your own Team . but you should be ringing your team manager and explaining . not expecting them to be ringing you and asking if you are available , time to get this MDL pool system sorted with proper rules . It would stop some of some of the superstars cherry picking meetings and leaving all the travelling to others .
  3. Yes it does , it's this is the sort of attitude that has lead to lads showing no commitment to the fixtures and just picking and choosing , adjusting results and making up results to suit , has brought around a situation where team managers ( who give their time effort and petrol money for free ) are walking away because it's a nightmare and at their own time expense to find 4 lads to race and teams are folding , promoters are cancelling or curtailing MDL meetings on a whim ,after lads have travelled hundreds of miles to ride ," because it doesn't really matter" , if MDl has any purpose at all it's to show kids what it takes to make it as a speedway rider , that means being part of a team and learning the responsibilities and comradeship that this will bring in the future , not showing up when you feel like it and riding purely at your own convenience , if you think there's no point in having a league table (even schools have them so there is a point) maybe theres no point in having a league . then no one will need to make any effort and we can go back to othe old style free for all second halfs where you turn up and take your chance for a few laps at a meeting , or get invited for a ride depending on who your relatives are or who you know at the club , and instead of learning to ride and getting a bit of experience of actual team racing , take the huge step from practising to riding in the national league for 2 weeks before getting dropped and walking away from the sport disenchanted ,
  4. Hamilton already has an honour . arrogant cock of the year for the last 20 years .
  5. If every speedway fan nin the world voted 100 times , the BBC would adjust the result , to give a more realistic view of the publics wishes !! Princess Anne would likely be the winner I think more people in the UK have heard of speedway , than had ever heard of Zara Phillips
  6. if you had toothache for months , and you woke one morning to find it gone ,you would miss it , same thing applies to shovlar , except shovlar is not toothache , he's Proctalgia !!
  7. Leicester dont usually start putting their team together until all the other teams are complete , then they can have their pick of the leftovers
  8. makes no difference , it's a fix anyway . wouldn't give the crooked BBC the kudos of counting my vote as part of the farce ..
  9. If you can't see the point deak 77 was trying to make .I think a visit to specsavers is in order
  10. so how would you have felt if there was no farewell meeting and the new track was ready in 2016 ?. regardless of any speculation or doubt , I will be at the last official meeting at Coventry and wont leave until I've seen the last rider cross the line . if their is racing beyond 2016 I shall count myself lucky . and will just be glad I spent an evening in the company of some of my heroes from the past
  11. You cant have Harris until 2017 when the Bees have closed So did Coventry, your'e right , covenants mean nothiong when theres money to be made
  12. anyone else had said it I would agree with realistic , but it's Leicesters biggest embarrassment who said it . so the real context doesn't fit ,
  13. and the fact that as soon as they can get round 4 times , they are the next world champion and team managers start chucking NL places at them .
  14. There is an appeals procedure , it goes like this , you put your money up and appeal , the SCB wait 3 months and decide it's not worth the bother and give you your money back , Waste of time ? surely not !!
  15. I dont really think anyone gives any creedence to Gogglegate TBH . If it were any other team than Poole there may be doubt about the outcome. Assuming there is any enquiry of course, the result will be in Pooles favour , so not really overshadowing anything In the minds of those not wearing Poole coloured specs .
  16. I hope all the Poole Fans and assorted other idiots think it was worth it, all the damage to speedway in the publics perception and all the long term supporters who have walked away , because of the constant cheating and favouritism by the authorities on Pooles behalf , the record books will show a Poole victory , but 90% of speedway fans will know who the real winners were , and sadly will also know that speedway was the real loser .
  17. Why should we have all 7 days , because we always have done and it suits teams and riders from this country to have it that way , you should be thinking more on terms of why we should create turmoil in our own leagues to pander to the Bsi and a few foreign riders .
  18. of course . if only six clubs run there will onyl be 5 to suffer from matt fords cheating , new boys although with a seasoned promoter , should be easy enough to put one over though
  19. your having a laugh surely , better that we get rid of the half a dozen riders who dont want to ride here , And the sooner this is done the better off UK speedway will be.
  20. There is another way ,although it's too late for Doyle Etc, when a raw Aussie comes here to learn his trade as an endless stream have in the past , they sign lifetime contract that as long as they are riding their priority will be in the UK . fees for their training will be waived permanently . unless they decide not to ride in the Uk . when they will be charged £1,000 per season fees + any transfer fees clubs have incurred , They can either accept this on day 1 , or go straight to Poland Leicester can solve their race night problem easily , keep Saturday, go back in the premier league . build a bar in the stadium for those who are interested to wath the GP
  21. All of them , every single one of them who is currently riding here , In both Elite and Premier leagues , would gladly turn their backs ,for the big money in Poland , but until they can do that , they are happy enough to earn their living here .
  22. Just another Aussie who earned his bread and butter here for years . now wants British speedway to fit in with the punishing schedule he signed up for himself , Tell you what Jason , stop riding in Poland and Sweden then your schedule wont be so punishing . break the mould of Aussie users and show a bit of loyalty for change
  23. I think Leicester and Poole should form a super league . and the rest of the current elite league , should continue at a slightly lower level , take in a couple of premier league clubs and run a squad system Oh and the league to be run by an independent body
  24. the other 3 saw the green light and went https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8csqvRwr1Y watch this and explain why all of them looked at the magnet , and if you can't see the green light you need to go to specsavers , 19minutes and 10 seconds in
