  1. Of course not Tina , he's one of the rubbishty tongue brigade
  2. Reduced admission for sky is ok , but the downside is a meeting dragged on for 2 .1/2 hours and run at the directors call ,
  3. Because if you have committed to shelling out for a season ticket .it's unlikely you will say anything The Hemsleys dont want to hear . so rahter than being an added bonus for season ticket holders . it's a dig at possibble dissenters
  4. only Leicester fans have rose tinteds , and looking through them you only saw what you wanted to see , If your'e giving it another go after the track alterations you should be able to see quite a few who still think it is the 1970s, complete with period haircuts and war cries ,
  5. Thank you . learn something new every day
  6. reading that blurb , it said centripetal , is that just a posh way of saying centrifugal ? . not sure if speedways rules on engines have the same loophole TBH . I know the Ignition timing is supposed to be fixed , but modern boxes advance and retard automatically ,and speedway machine examiners dont have the technology to know whetehr its being used or not
  7. wonder who will be the first tuner to fit this http://lanesplitter.jalopnik.com/suzukis-new-gsx-r1000-is-engineered-around-a-loophole-i-1751372078?rev=1452123201861 hope not . Formula 2 engines are just as expensive as speedway engines to maintain , they dont ride properly . and on achieving a moderate level of competence ,a whole load of new expense and a new learning curve has to be adopted switching to proper speedway equipment . budget cost engines of a sutiable nature are still available , they are called 2 valve Jawas
  8. Just leave it yellow and red , the land value will be the same when we sell it to build our new superstadium No worries there , the shale comes form Breedon aggregates In Leicestershire . I think we would prefer it ,if you would call our new track Beaumont park, doesn't sound quite right Coventrey Bees ,Leicester
  9. Spot on with reducing costs , what we need to do is get promoters and a percentage of supporters to take on board that foreign riders and superstars are not necessary , Eastbourne and Bham both dropped to NL last year and thrived , no superstars (only a few who think they are, but thinking that costs nothing ) and only 1 or 2 loophole foreigners . the national league today is like the national league in the 70's a product equally as good as any other , but at an affordable price
  10. I think SCB has joined TWK , Is this a case like speedway , after an enforced break through bad weather or lack of fixtures people find other things to do and don't come back , or could SCB just feel aggrieved at being singled out ,when others have got away with far worse and decided BSF is not worth the bother . only time will tell i suppose but it will be a shame if another regualar poster has been bullied off the forum ..
  11. It's being made ready for when the Bees take it over next year , 12 months to bed in and be a decent racetrack
  12. That was the biggest step of all , but the answer lies in making the bends longer , which can only be achieved by making the straights further apart , not by moving the Kerbs in . Is there any track in the country with a centre green as narrow as BP ?
  13. they also had a tie-up with Blaze , did the Blaze a world of good because I know at least 6 people who now go to Ice hockey and not speedway anymore , if I know that many how many do you think actually defected , a few more to wasps and a few more to Coventry City and thats why the speedway terraces are empty , Tie ups are a great idea ,just not for speedway
  14. Can't see it being of any benefit myself , every footbal fan I know is completely absorbed by the game ,and think everyone else is as well , whenever I see old frineds and workmates it's not long before their conversation turns to football ( at this point I pretend to have urgent business and leave )
  15. I have always wondered why no-one has experimernted with shell grip , thats the surface before pedestrian crossings and at traffic lights where the traffic has to stop from high speed , its an anti skid surface , it has a similar surface to well prepared shale track ,the brip is unaffected by water and It could be laid on boards and a totally portable speedway track is a reality
  16. I dont think there was ever a time when points didn't surpass entertainment . I can remember some cracking meetings over the years , but cannot remember ever being happy with my team losing after being involved in one of them . I dont think riders ever thought in terms of entertaining .winning was always the aim , but at a slower pace and with more dirt , options to correct a poor start or help your team partner were more plentiful and possible , so watching riders taking those options was entertaining
  17. I persoanlly can't see the benefit whatsoever of giving a red cent to football , the children and parents are already involved in their sport of choice , and even if speedway was rammed down their throats as much nas football is rammed down everybodies , I cant see any of them parents or kids .being open mided enough to give something other than football a second look
  18. I haven't seen a milkman for at least 2 years , and I don't know anyione who still has milk delivered
  19. Dont feed the troll Tina , I know the source/s of your reliable information , I would much rather take their word than argue with Leicesters joint biggest embarrasment
  20. I can see speedway in the future as part of a travelling circus like supercross , except as part of a bigger event mainly indoors on temporary tracks , with only 1 or2 specialaist speedway riders , the rest of the field made up of competitors from whatever the main event is , A sort of retro novelty act . You are , and as far as I can make out you are aged between 12 and 21 , married or single , in a relationship or not , at school sometimes and university others , on odd occasions you are working or unemployed . A butcher a Baker a candlestick maker . so that pretty much covers all demographics
  21. I could say the same about your views on matters , since everyone knows your employers are in the pockets of BSI .it's hardly surprising you wish to paint a rosy picture when the reality is Postlethwaites decisions were simply hard cold business .
  22. he was certainly on a Winner with BSI , sadly Britsh speedway was the loser , I assume he was bitterly dissapointed because someone else didn't build a new state fo the art stadium ,then let him have it for nothing and build their own business around his schedule . the land was available and still is as far as I know to build the stadium .so he should have spent his own Blue chip money instead of expecting someone else to spend theirs
  23. oh yea I remember , Jumped ship when he found out he had to Actually pay riders/transfer fees , instead of cherry picking other peoples assets for free
