It's not as simple as Harris on a decent bike unfortunately , he has had engines from all the worlds best tuners .but it's his backroom staff that let him down . when he has belters like the last but 1 GP's it's just luck that everything goes right on the day . certainly not judgement, His or anybody elses . We shouldnt need a fixed track either , none of the others will ,they will go there on the day make their own assesments and adjust accordingly

thats what I have heard . also the bikes are drawn by lottery , so no one knows which bike any rider will be on . no-one knows who the riders are ,so it's entirely a numbers game . quite like our speedway when trying to build a team

It's not really about the speedway though . it's purely betting . the japanese would turn out in their their thousands to see 2 drips of water race down an pane of glass .as long as they can bet on it

Who was the ref ? when buxton were there it was chris durno . he had the 2 minutes on as the riders crossed the finish line . and we had said goodnight ( nice cup of tea , and a couple of bottles of cold water for the journey home ) and we were packed up and leaving before curfew time

maybe this was the key to my involvement .

if someone came on here and was mistaken that some posts were those of my lad I would see it and rightly be annoyed and protest his innocense , had you not rang Rob Homer and told him ,he would have remained blissfully unaware that anyone even remembered him let alone connected him to some poster on BSF , I would say Rob Homer has now . and previously didn't (before you made him aware of course ) , have anything to be concerned about , I'm pretty sure if someone was connecting Lee 77 to a poster on the tiddlywinks forum in the USA he would be blissfully unaware and therefore I would think "It's Nothing to worry about " . certainly not worth the cost of a transatlantic phonecall

Rob has nothing to do with speedway or the BSF so why would be bother . If we are supposed to worry about things we have no knowledge of out there in internet land . you should be a worried man because you opught to see some of the stuff I've posted about you elsewhere No.no no ,no.no,no,no .no,no . and I am prepared to fight to the death on that opinion

Some riders in days gone by , added water or oil to the Meth to flatten the engine on slick tracks and actually went faster . methanol is hygroscopic and contains water anyway . it would require a large amount addded , to affect performance

It was me !! I had a bet on NKI getting less than 5 . got 50-1 with ladbrokes . worked out well and it only cost me 40p for the washing up sponges

Is that right . well I'll give you just 2 examples of Hobbyists who were front and centre ,Dog tags dangling at Cardiff on Saturday , 1 of them is driving a lorry today delivering food to supermarkets , the other is a driving instructor , thats their chosen careers !1 . just another Know it all rant from you , but nothing new there is there

Yes ex riders (of a decent calibre and length of service ) should get in free . especailly while hobby photographers are swanning around with their tags dangling like they own the place . riders have given something to the sport and should be rewarded . photographers have given nothing in fact the exact opposite , At cardiff on saturday , there must have been 100 camera wielding hobbyists taking photos. can anyone tell me of the benefit to speedway of a single 1 of their photo's ?? didnt see any in the daily papers , nor being used as stills on news reports . so wheres the benefit ? while ex riders and promoters , people who have their own money on the line have to pay to get in .
