denzil is my father, yes he is in johanesburg and alcohol did ruin his career he was an excellent rider but as you say he ruined it for himself, over enjoyed drink and a good time he was never intrested in getting his 2 sons (myself and my brother) into speedway! i wish he had of as im trying to get into it now!and im struggling!! also he did not marry a girl from eastborne he married my mother in southafrica, but they are now divorced and denzil is in southafrica if anyone would like contact with him i could give you a phone number kieran kent
