  1. If those two were in the GPs instead of say THJ and (sorry mate) Bomber it's possibly be greatest ever GP line up.
  2. Who is actually the best rider out of Emil Ward and Tai? This thread got me thinking...
  3. I think it's harsh on AJ as he's been good value for money for a lot of years. Good meeting Saturday very enjoyable. Since the farce of the 1st 2 rounds it's been a good series IMO. What has happened to KK? Never been a big fan of the guy but it's so sad to see how he's riding now.
  4. I really hope Manchester is added but I suspect it won't be as they don't want the Cardiff crowd to be dented in any way. Even though I'm from London I agree that there's no point in taking it to Wembley. Stadium, half full, pig to get to, nothing around there to do pre/post meeting. The Olympic Stadium I'd disagree, great transport links, the Mall near by with bars etc & knowing the the costs involved they would welcome any additional income from a GP and the like. Cardiff is great though, gone every year never once come away thinking anything other then money well spent.
  5. Even as a Rye Fan and a long time hater of Arena/Lakeside, I struggle to understand the negativity towards the club here. The club post Ronnie Russell has been very well run. Why are people here so harsh on them?
  6. I wasn't at Gothenburg but I was in Gelsenkirchen (flew from Tokyo for that one) and Warsaw (from NY) and my father went to Riga. I was raging at the balls up made at each of these and more annoyed that no decent explanation was given. Gelsenkirchen in particular I'm still seething about. However I try to remind myself that a handful of GP's over a 20 year period is not that awful and in real terms on par with other sports/concerts/nights out which will sometimes end up with a very unsatisfactory conclusion. I know people on here get annoyed with temp tracks and sometimes they are right to feel that way. But I for one much prefer seeing a GP in a top class stadium in a decent city so the whole weekend is something to look forward to. Looking at the attendances at Cardiff although the die hard fans don't agree with me, many others do. If we could have a full season of GP's at somewhere like Torun (fun city, perfect track great stadium) then yes that would be ideal. Unfortunately that isn't ever going to be the case. All we can hope is that BSI learn from their mistakes. They certainly seem to with Cardiff this year. On a different note, any chance Poland looses a GP and we get Cardiff and Manchester next year??!
  7. Here's a thought.. Shall we be optimistic and wait till after this GP is over to pass Judgement??!!
  8. Point being Bomber didnt not do that statement himself!
  9. Why do people on here get so irate with PR? He tries to give us fans an insiders view of things. He's apologized with the story RE Bomber and the engines. Of course he backtracked. Isn't that what an apology is? However anyone who's read Bombers Tweets knows that 100% that was NOT Bomber who wrote that statement. That was a professionally written statement to put him in a good light for again being under prepared for a GP. It's July, that's the 4th GP of the season, he's used those engines before and looked fast in previous GPs and yet he still hasn't got the set up right. That to me should be a bigger issue then Phil relaying a story which to his knowledge was 100% factual...
  10. I'd bet Greg is in top 5 at the very least when all is said and done and wouldn't be least bit surprised if he's in the medals.
  11. He's 4th place in the GPs. Hardly say he's finished boss.
  12. I remember Ben Howe fencing (of all people) Ronnie Pedersan in 1995. Came out of gate 3 never turned left, into the solid wood fence Ronnie went. Wasnt the nicest thing to see...
  13. Hate to agree with you as he was a hero when I was a kid. But he should never be commentating! Wheres Dave Norris...
  14. Well you are clearly not even trying to understand so there's no point trying to explain anymore is there.
  15. But this is common knowledge we know the riders have spoken about it. Get on Twitter, Facebook, listen to interviews. And learn some manners and don't call people fools. Especially when you're making one of yourself.
  16. I read it differently. I read it that people were saying enough is enough and he'll get a taste of his own medicine if he carries on. Not the other 14 riders in a room drawing straws for who's fencing him in the next heat. And let's be honest, are any of us remotely shocked by this revelation? Bunch of the riders already had very public Twitter spats with NP anyway. Plus let's not forget that Phils point was he's glad it came to a head NOT in a racing scenario which he suggested (quite rightly) is better then during. As risers had spoken - not acted upon, but spoken about is after seeing Nicki do something like that one time to many. You will disagree with me & I respect that but I'm just suggesting it's not quite the mountain you've made of it..
  17. Well I'd say that is pretty much spot on...
  18. I think pretty much everything you've said is stupid but I wasn't rude about it. Anyway thats not part of this thread. So I'lll eave it there.
  19. I believe you called me a clown. I merely offered you the opportunity to do it person. If you dont believe get a stop watch and see how much time he had before Greg got to him. And I'll happily disagree with you that approaching someone face to face is cowardly yet knocking them off their bike is not.
  20. Look at the video. He's had half a lap to get off the bike he was at a standstill when greg got to him And please DM your details so we can meet and you can call me a clown in face to face. I've not got personal on here but we can if you want to buddy.
  21. I beg to differ. Ran at him head on. Nikki didnt react. He had plenty of time to but didnt.
  22. Absolutely not. Someone said it was cowardly which implies he was sneaky or underhanded in what he did. He was stupid and irrational, but cowardly, nope not in my eyes.
