  1. Between Cardiff, the 4s weekend and the SWC my faith in this sport really has been restored.
  2. That is very much the Sky Sports way of commentating across the board on most sports & for high adrenaline sports it's the complete norm. Murray Walker been doing it for years for example. They do a decent job, not everyones cuppa but they are good.I would however like to see them switch it up from time to time, get Dave Norris or Stoney or Simon Stead in once in a while.
  3. Crump/Gollob was definitely the first time I saw the Air Fence in full effect. A season earlier and JC could have been a gonner. One that sticks in my memory is Shane Parker Todd Whiltshire being run over by crazy Roman Matousek at the 1991 4TT!
  4. The oddest part of Greg not turning up for the Race off was the big interview he did a couple of days before. And being a Monster Sponsored rider I'm surprised they didn't lean on him to be there. I sincerely hope the SWC doesn't become like the 'lesser' competitions in football where the big name players take an opportunity to rest.
  5. Really, really bad form from Hancock. Let a lot of fans down who specifically went to see him. Also, if he'd been in the mix, taking points off other teams, getting in opponents way in the first turn etc it would have made the meeting a lot more interesting. Cheated the fans big time and the way he tried to make out like he was doing it for the greater good is a little bit pathetic.
  6. Superb meeting, great stadium, from Soup to nuts the whole thing was fantastic. Hopefully all the Woffinden haters can now hold their hands up and say they were wrong. His performance Saturday night was out of this world. Also was great to him geeing up the boys all night, interacting with the crowd, couldnt fault the bloke at any point really. The Poles were the best team on the night, however I feel Rosco got the nominated heats all wrong. Cookie IMO should have gone out in Heat 17. He'd just won a race from an inside gate, confidence was high and we were just 2 points behind the Poles. Not saying we would have won the meeting but I feel that would have given us a better chance. Anyway 2nd still a great result and I very much hope Doyle (who should have been excluded, hit PP and then nearly put Cookie in the grandstand) is eating a big slice of humble Pie.
  7. Well going by previous years, if Woofy gets 21 the rest only have to get 12-15 between them and we're world champions
  8. Why are people Counting out Russia for Friday? If G Laguta is back they will be right in it.
  9. Shame Manzares isn't back in UK, he looked decent for a season and a half.
  10. I understand people rushing to Tai's defense here and the arguments are correct. HOWEVER, still would have been very intersting to see what would have happened.
  11. Japan is a Market BSI should look into but sadly I feel they will stick to the "'Safe" options...
  12. Lets not focus on the negatives people, going to be a great SWC!
  13. Freddie is having a good season. He was unlucky in Cardiff, if he hadn't had taken that whack in heat 1 it could have been a very different night. He was actually leading Antonio down the back straight of the 1st attempt of heat 1. I personally hope he is allowed to see out the season, although I am a fan of Hampel and feel sorry for what the last year has been like for him. However it seems it benefits no one to give he and Freddie half a season each.
  14. Warsaw is a great GP but not that great of a city in all honesty. Torun is a Superb GP and a lot of fun. Cheap RyanAir flight away from London too..
  15. Just got back after a week in the UK. I thought this was as good as any meeting I've seen at Cardiff. Maybe enjoyed Bomber's win in 2007 more but as far as racing goes I thought this year was top drawer. As always the atmosphere was unrivaled. Warsaw was brilliant this year but still cant compete with Cardiff for all round atmosphere and entertainment. I understand why people ask about going to other stadiums, but for me Cardiff just ticks too many boxes to warrant a move.
  16. What about when the England Captain played in Spain (Beckham)
  17. Can we make 100 pages. Let's go guys. Never in the history of pointless arguments has one dragged on so long!!!!!
  18. Good luck Cookie hope you get through! How many qualify from this meeting is it 7? And is the GP Challenge in Sweden this year?
  19. Middlo had a great team for years and did nish with it. Nothing personal thats just a fact.
  20. Scotty's riding well and having seen a few EL & Swedish meetings on TV that he's been in, I'm impressed with how he's doing this season. At a guess it's Tai, Lambo, Bomber then between Scotty and Cookie for the last place. But hey what do I know..
  21. Gav & Rob get a room you're ruining (at least) 2 different threads now. there's direct messages if you have a problem with each other yiu need to sort out. Getting back on point, Danny King is just not good enough at world level. We need to pick the 4 best and most in form riders. If Bomber has a good meeting at Cardiff and his confidence is high I guess he has to be picked. I wouldn't have said that a pre Prague I'll hold my hands up to that. We have a genuine chance of causing an upset this year, hope to god we can do it. 1989 was too long ago!!!
  22. I'll ask one last time, should Tai be picked as one of the 4 best riders for team GB? (sorry)
