Last years result was purely down to Tai. This year was purely down to the fact Event 1 was stupidly easy.
-
But where do the injury come from? Did h have an accident recently?
-
Cool fingers crossed he's back to pre SWC form in time for he GP challenge

2018 Grand Prix Venues
RPNY replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
opening round should be at NSS. British Speedway is the best set up at that time of year -
LOL ok.
-
Why cant it be flexible? He always said he could be back for 2018. We got embarrassed in the SWC this year, building for next year we could start with the world games.
-
It would if Tai was riding thats my main point... Chris I understand where you are coming from, I dont agree but see why you would think that. But what is the up side to Bewley and Lambert going there and getting beaten out of sight. Will just crush their confidence.
-
Id give up SCB they want to somehow try and prove that there was a crap crowd and SGP is on decline. Sad really.
-
TWO different scenarios. He was never riding in the World Cup this year. we knew that 12 months ago. The World Games was at his home track. He offered to ride and the BSPA inquired about his availability. They should have picked him as it would have benefitted other GB boys watching Tai at close quarters. He could have helped them all and was willing to do so. After the performance in the SWC Final I'd argue it'd be an even smarter mover to include Tai in this World Games squad as the boys clearly need some advice/help. I never said (or if I did apologies never meant) to say one was more beneficial than the other. He was NEVER riding in the SWC this year. The World Games was a VERY SEPARATE issue. Tai wanted to ride, Wroclaw wanted him to ride, BSPA almost wanted him to ride. It's madness in my oinion he isnt.

There were just over 40k in there

I just dont see how Saturday can be viewed as anything other than a complete success. Big Crowd, great atmosphere, sublime racing. No home victory but only ever been one in 17 years!
-
You make some good points, but as SCB said, the crowd level didnt fall. Cardiff has always been a great crowd and well supported, through many baron years of Brit Riders scrapping merely to stay in the competition. It's Been somewhere between 40-45k since 2001. My guess is in 2018 it'll be about the same...

Ah come on that's all part of the fun! Buy ear plugs!

Im a fan of Greg the person, not so much the rider. However I do think after missing only 1 GP in all & being the 2016 WC, it'd be mighty harsh to bin him after just one season not qualifying. As previously said, we all wrote him off when he turned 40, 3 world titles since then. Not saying I dont get peoples arguments about him being at the back end of his career, but for him not to get at least ONE wild card would be bloody unfair!
-
As opposed to just 32 who were in Poznan watching the U21's!

Boring to you. Listening to the reception, enjoyable to many.
