  1. Annoying its in Poland and catering to a Polish win again BUT if they are gonna stage it that's a great place to have it!
  2. Absolutely spot on in Everything he said. I hope they listen.
  3. And it was pretty much an abject failure financially. The temp stand on 3rd/4th bend was empty. SWC 2016 it was full I hope I'm wrong, love Manchester, love that track, over the moon theres a GP there. Just the way this lot do things wouldn't surprise me if it changes to 1 night.
  4. and Id be suprised if they actually do the 2 GPs in one weekend anyway
  5. Sad day, really sad. The 3 home wins were as good as atmosphere as I can ever remember at any sports event Ive been to, Bomber in 2007 in particular. With regards to this being 'inevitable' I understand that but why was it ever put on the calendar? Its inexcusable really is. This lot keep making bold promises they do not keep and we now have a series in sub par stadiums with the only 2 riders that have a chance of beating BZ not allowed in the series its been a shambles. The business model is be propped up by Polish money and therefore they dictate what goes on. There will be a minimum 3 permanent Polish riders from 2026 onwards, will be 3-5 Polish GPs minimum, the PMZ will block Artem and Emil ever getting back into the series and unless a very wealthy individual decides they want to stage a GP in another country we will see no new venues. WBD have delivered on pretty much zero that they promised and its not a great surprise as I would assume none of them had even heard of speedway pre 2021...
  6. Appreciate the responses all. Should be a fun weekend in Pardubice with the Golden Helmet too
  7. I said there's a good chance not they already have...
  8. Looks like there is a good chance that Ļebedevs (SEC) Kubera, Lambert, bewley & Holder may have already qualified for next year. Who would come in?
  9. We'll see hey. I'm not overly enthused about what lies ahead but we shall see hey. Hopefully its a good series.
  10. A change of riders is good if its the correct riders..
  11. Sadly this is what we have now. When Discovery came in and spent all that money I assumed they really had mega plans and they were going to take the series all over the world, well it turns out all they want is content. It is cheaper for them to buy the series and put it on their platforms then buy the viewing rights to other sports. So getting riders from as many countries if far more important to them then having the best riders. Sad, but that's what we have going forwards. Unless viewing figures both on tv/stream and at the gate go down enough. Discovery are brilliant at presenting and with the social media stuff. And they are all very nice people. However literally none of them have any Speedway background, they are all new to it. So what they think is important and what the fans want will be very different. I guess they want to grow it and have their own ideas. Perhaps they are right. I just think this a disastrously weak field and BZ will keep winning till he gets bored.
  12. Pretty much spot on. Desperately disappointed with this.
  13. Lol couldn't disagree more. Its not just the track that's the advantage, its everything behind the scenes too. "The lack of track variety in 2021 arguably cost Zmarzlik the title" is an absolute belter. I'm going to say no more because if you believe that then there is no point in debating any further.
  14. 1) The advantages being he has 3 home rounds every year & his Two main rivals, 1 being the guy that beat him to a world title, were taken out the series. 2) How can you possibly tell Laguta has regressed, he isn't in the series. World Championships and league racing 2 very different animals. I will repeat BZ is brilliant, but how can having the 2 riders that finished 1 place either side of him taken out the series not help him?!!
  15. Exactly. Plethora of other sports but cant ride in the SGP. All they are doing is robbing the public. They could also ride under a Polish license but the PZM will refuse this. Again, total BS.
  16. Lol thats is your opinion no more. The last time they were in it one of them beat him.
  17. In Holder's defense, he blew his best engine 1 race after clinching the title then broke his shoulder, hip and heel when sitting 3rd or 4th in the standings halfway through the following series. So little harsh on him...
  18. Well when his main 2 rivals in the competition have been removed it certainly helps He's brilliant. But the fact of the matter is he also has a lot of advantages on his side too.
  19. Failing spectacularly LOL So their last season in the GP, Laguta and Emil came 1st and 3rd when 6 out of 10 events were in Poland. They then had to take a full year out (& for any athlete in any sport that is tremendously detrimental) . And they have come back and are easily in the top 10 riders in the world. Them not being in the series completely devalues it. Bartosz is an absolutely brilliant rider, but he and the other Polish boys already has massive advantage over the rest of the field. 3+ GPs in Poland every year, the final round in Poland every year. Its completely unfair in all honesty. Now I'm sure people will say they all ride in Poland, well yes that's true. But the fact of the matter is home comforts and a home crowd are a massive advantage in any sport. That got Poland over the line in the SWC this year. Its why a very weak GB team took Poland all the way in the SWC in 2016 and why GB won SoN a couple of years ago despite their best rider getting injured on day 1. Not a chance that happens on Foreign soil. Plus its very well documented how much influence the Polish authorities have behind the scenes to make sure Poland stay on top. Again, Bartosz is a Brilliant rider, one of the best to ever do it, but if it carries on like this just give him the title for the next 5 years and be done with it.
  20. Have 2 Hospitality tickets for Cardiff. Were £225 but I know I'm going to have to take a hit on the price but oh well.... Any interest please message me. Thanks
  21. There is no reason we lost other than Poland has a very good team and all the advantages of riding at home. We essentially had a 3 man team that put on a bloody good performance. After doing absolutely nothing for years we've gone 2018 silver (rule change 1 year later means we would have won) Gold in 2021, Silver 2022 and Silver 2023. You cant say they are getting in dramatically wrong....
