  1. Well done Chris, a popular and new name on the World Champs Trophy.
  2. Regular guest Doyley was the savior for the Rockets again I see, 3 x 5-1`s and 2 x 4-2`s in his 5 rides, he is having a great season, good for him after all his shoulder problems.
  3. Great performance from the Rebels, especially Jason Doyle who has been immense all season with us and Swindon . I agree that the play offs are a joke the team that is top at the end should be crowned Champions, I certainly would not have liked it had the positions been reversed. What there can be no question about however is that Somerset were the better team over the four matches and deserved their success.Hopefully the Rebels can go on and pick up some silverware which will reward a good effort by everyone involved with club.
  4. OT mate , they are the rules, you know the same rules that have enabled Nedermark to so far amass 21 rides and score 43 paid points, where would the Diamonds be without this.I would imagine if you asked any Newcastle supporter to swap Somerset`s 3 extra points for six of Nedermarks rides,I think I know what the answer would be.I cannot believe you are still moaning, we are doing ok for goodness sake.
  5. Hey DB, now you gone all American with your "vacation" instead of holiday,I`m a bit worried about what you mean by "I just cut straight to the FAG after"..................
  6. Hope both meetings are close hard fought matches between the best two teams in the Prem this season from start to finish. In my opinion Newcastle are the Champs, I have no great love of play offs for the title, the ridiculous nonsense between Poole and Coventry a couple of seasons back says it all. One other good thing about this season is that Somerset and Newcastle who had good sides destroyed by injuries last year have managed to get their rewards this time.I think whoever comes out top in this one will win and deserve it.
  7. Tell him it`s raining whatever it`s doing, cos he will only turn up with a dark cloud over his head anyway.........................nice holiday DB ?
  8. One of my all time favourite riders and a great servant to the sport.I remember back in 2003 I think when he honoured a guest booking at Somerset on the friday before travelling to the GP the next day with his first World champions title still in the balance,a bad off at the OTA would have scuppered his chances, top bloke, and will be missed on the GP stage. Good luck to you mate.
  9. No wait until the season ends, when all averages are certified and then start discussing as to who you would like to see in your team next term, that is simples, or if you are Alljack start changing it the day after the season starts..
  10. Got that badly wrong, good stuff from the proper Rebels though to see us through.
  11. If you have to have a guest, make it a good one, In his last two appearances Baby Bjerre has certainly been on the gas.He was excellent in the Pairs I thought, great entertainment. Kyle is going well at the moment at our place, so we shouldn`t miss Alex too much. A bit of a pain not having Alex though as he had a good Northern tour.
  12. Yeah, could do with points in all our away games, easier said than done though, especially against one of the form teams in the Prem at the moment. Still the top performing away side in the league.
  13. I have indeed been following the unrest at your place, I misunderstood your post,I thought you were having a pop at our promotion, my apologies. The key bit being "our promoters".Maybe still a bit shagged out from the weekends action down at Somerset and Cardiff lol.
  14. To be fair SS I don`t think it`s quite as bad as that,he is a talent and will progress.I believe the management when they say it was a numbers game about three into two won`t go. In their opinion, and remember they see a lot more of the lads than we do, this was the best option open to the team at this time,All riders go through tough times, it`s a bl**dy tough sport and riders are sometimes plying their trade in a lot of pain.As I stated previously he has had some nasty offs this term which must affect your form and mind set. If he joins another team in the Prem I wish him all the best, and would love to see him back at the OTA next year.
  15. Yawn, he is and still is a Somerset asset, why would he want to ride for you, anyone else left that Ippo could have or should have signed at the start of the season. I`d say he `s done pretty well with the decisions he`s made, both his teams are top of their respective divisions.
  16. Well said cat2, I don`t believe all that "Only riding for Poole crap" either.
  17. He did indeed, his last four home scores are 11,10, 12 and paid 10, whereas his away scores have been poor, see my point about the remaining fixtures. ps If you are going Friday I`ll see you in the bar. Ha ha nice one
  18. Old Timer have you ever been optimistic in your life, I doubt it. How can you say that the decision to drop Sam means we will not win the league. It must have took a lot of soul searching to release Sam,and not an easy call for Bish and the rest. I was fortunate enough to be at Sam`s debut at Rye, not the easiest place to kick your British career off and he was outstanding, and excited everyone who was there. He was an ever present last year and held the team together sometimes on his own. This season has been different, injuries have held him back, loads more travelling around Europe, regular meetings at Poole, where much is expected of him, imo have affected him.How many times has he been in front and been passed this year, an unheard of occurrence last term. I like Sam, always have,he will bounce back and I would have him back next season like a shot if he was available. I think Bish and co are looking at the run in, only one more away fixture to go for the JBM bashers, but three home . Sam still has U 21 fixtures to fulfil where he will missing again. The big ask is how will Claus perform, but that is the gamble, he was ok last time he came back after injury, and the present injury was not his fault. I hope the Rebels can pick something up this season, unbeaten at home so far,and best away record in the division. For the record I don`t think we will win the Pairs, but I would love to see us pick up the league or the league cup.
  19. I`d have a shilling on Aspergren in the old red and blue next season, if Sam and Jason take the expected move "down" to the Elite League.Nice cameo from him last night.
  20. Not that it`s particularly relevant , it`s 28C in Watford and has been baking all day, can`t believe that 150 odd miles down the road it`s pi**ing down.
  21. So lets get this straight,we can have two proper reserves and is it R/R for Sam or is it another guest again?
  22. Sorry to hear Jordan has decided to retire. I have to admit i was amazed that he signed for Rye in the first place, having seen a lot of him in his break through year in 2008, it was a strange move to go to a place that seem to nullify all he was good at. Gating was never one of his strong points, but coming back from behind was, a tactic that is extremely difficult at Rye if you miss the start. Maybe the idea was to improve his gating, but who knows.I hope he thinks about his decision, he is still young and has talent and maybe a change of scenery will help him. It`s a bit of a kick in the n**ts for the Rye fans, just walking out like that, I know how you feel having experienced that with Boxall. I hope the new Dane turns out to be ok, never heard of though, mind you not many had heard of Sundstrom.
