  1. Without a doubt , one of the best posts I have ever read on this forum, it has everything, well done. So pleased you came back after the slight c**k up the week before, glad you enjoyed it. Cliff.
  2. Enjoy Dave, been a bit of a disaster for us this year at Rye, think my dads going to come,
  3. Confirmed on the Rebels site that Lewis Rose will be at No 7 , for the Diamonds and the Rockets match on saturday. Good luck to him.
  4. Only a National League guest can be used, weakens the Rebels considerably as Tom only just back. Could the Rebels use "Boxall", would they want to....., not sure how the averages pan out at this level ?
  5. OT I have read your post again and you indeed do not mention the word lucky, however you do have a rather alarming knack of always finding something wrong with good Rebels results, not something me or others make a habit of doing. On the subject of the tactical,I`m bored with going on about it again, but if it is one of the reasons you will not bring people to speedway,I suggest you read some of the posts on this thread at how GOOD the meeting was last night, and hardly anyone running it down because of a tactical.I know you enjoy your speedway and attend the OTA far more times than I am able to.Try to lighten up a bit , enjoy the victories and the hard work that goes into it. Regardless of the tactical , it was a pretty impressive performance by the lads last night, from 12 down to come back and win it at the death,I`m sure there will be occasions when the boot will be on the other foot.
  6. I really do wonder about you sometimes OT, in heats 1-8 the Lions won 5 heats to the rebels 3, which included Josh not getting off the line in heat 6. From heat 9 -15 the rebels won 6 heats and the lions 1. The Rebels were also one rider short from heat 2 onwards and were the away side. How on earth can that be described as lucky.......The tactical rule helps or hinders every team at some time during the season, hey we won away at one of the current top sides in the league, well done everyone including the supporters who made the trip.
  7. Tom Perry confirmed as returning tonight on Rebels site.
  8. Rebels need a strong performance tonight, Josh and Jason scored good points last night, but Alex and Nick had a night they would both like to forget. The Rebels normally go well around Beaumont Pk, especially Alex who had a great outing for the Aussies there last term. This is definitely a winnable fixture for the Rebels and I feel that we should come away with a minimum of a least a point, please don`t lose by 7 again..........
  9. Bu**er , so you did mate, just seen the time you posted it,it must have been about 3.423145 micro secs after the meeting ended! Can`t cope with that I`m afraid ha You on duty tomorrow night DB ?
  10. Better start this one off or else Starman will accuse us of not caring again. After a very good result up at Worky on Sunday, the Rebels need to finish the job tomorrow. I mentioned poor finishing to meetings I thought were holding us back, and poor back up for Jason at times. Well the Rebels responded magnificently yesterday with a very strong finish which could have been better if Jason hadn``t shed a chain inheat 15. This coupled with each Rebel being paid for at least one win, shows a great attitude and fight. The Comets will be no pushover though, Bach and Lawson performed well at the Pairs and Kyle Howarth goes well around the OTA. I`m looking for a Rebels win by about 12 to seal progress to the next round.
  11. What on earth has happened to James Wright, a PLRC winner just four years ago and now can`t occupy a third heat leader position in a struggling side, shame.
  12. Bravo bravo super Tai,what an absolute belter of a performance. For the first time since the heady exciting days of Mark Loram have we got a genuine contender for the world crown.I personally don`t care what he looks like as long as he keeps on riding like he is at the moment. I just love the way he attacks every circuit he rides on, even when he had that awkward moment in his second ride ( I think ) he still kept his control. I wish him all the best this season in the GP`s no matter where he finishes. PS. Isn`t it nice to have a British rider who can trap..........
  13. Don`t think there is much wrong with the Scorps this season, just having a bad run with injuries. It always seems to happen that when you are having a bad time yourself you tend to come up against teams who are bang on form and strong, eg Redcar and Somerset ( who are themselves a bit all over the place at the moment ). I think once Howe and Jorgy are back things will turn round.
  14. The Rebels need to bounce back in this one. The euphoria of the Pairs victory has been swallowed up by a below par ( but exciting performance for the Sky viewers ) against Edinburgh. At eight points up at heat 10, the Rebels never won another race, a time when especially at the OTA the Rebels tend to disappear into the distance. This has become a bit of a problem this season with the boys falling away at the end of meetings and losing by 7`s and 8`s,thus losing valuable points when we have been at the races normally right through most meetings. I`m looking at Josh, Alex and especially Nick who apart from the odd top show has definitely been fourth best, to up their game towards the end of the match to bring home the bacon. We cannot be relying on Jason everytime to do the business in heat 15. When the whole team click as we did at Scunny we were magic. I like the look of Stefan, he looks a real trier, and you cannot ask for more from a 19 year old in his first season. Tom however seems to be going nowhere, and is nothing like the rider from last term. His gating was always a bit suss, but most of us thought he would have sorted it out by now,but he still seems to struggle at the start. I think the management will stay with him for the time being, but maybe a rest riding full time for IOW will bring back his confidence and scoring. Safe journey to all Rebels travelling, and of course to all riders.
  15. f Did you watch mate, that is why Sky like to come to the OTA,brilliant exciting match which had everything.Good effort by the monarchs to sneak the win. Nick and Josh both had off nights and I`m afraid Tom is beginning to worry me a bit now.For the Monarchs good all round effort which you need in an away fixture when the home side are not firing on all cylinders.Cookie was great in heat 15, not many get past Doyley once he is in front,
  16. Speedway is NEVER better on TV, how do you get a better view? You see all of the action all of the time being there. The sound of the bikes, the shouting of the crowd around you, the banter with the other supporters, and if you are lucky enough to live not too far away from the track, £20 every now and then is a good deal in my book.
  17. Ha ha,don`t think so mate, no matter now match off again, 3 rain offs for the Rebs now, not good. Hope everything will be ok for friday,it`s a long way to come for nothing, fingers and everything else crossed.
  18. Well done Somerset, all round performance not just relying on Jason and Josh. Great to see Stef getting in the points at reserve. I fancied us on this one but not by that score, sweet revenge after losing agonizingly by one in the final last year, if only Doyle had been fit.
