  1. Our management generally DO have something up their sleeves. It was always going to be tough to build a team this year after dominating the Prem in 2013, we were something like 5 points over the limit I think. Alex was an awkward one because the majority of his average was gained at home, ok when you are a second string, however when you are a heat leader more productive returns away from home are needed. it was a no brainer that one of Jason, Josh or Nick would have to go, and hopefully it is only Josh.As for Kyle he had a poor season last year putting virtually nothing on his average,so maybe a change of scene will be good for him especially as he will be riding Elite in 2014.I wish all these lads all the best wherever they go,and they can be rest assured there will always be a big welcome for them when they come back to the OTA with their new teams.
  2. Yes indeed, I thought he would be nailed on this term.It may be a ploy for him to come back in 2015 after some more experience with another team. He has certainly become formidable around the OTA but needs better form away, good luck to him.
  3. If Josh does sign for Worky a top three of Jason, Nick and Alex is still a formidable combo.
  4. Brady was in the frame this season, but the age thing ( I think ) meant he had to wait a year.
  5. I see it like that too, I think Brady Kurtz is nailed on for one of the reserve positions, depending on what average he comes in on will decide who the other one is.If it is a three then I would go for Stefan neilsen again,I thought he suffered from the poor form of Tom Perry this year not being the main man at reserve.
  6. I think Len will have Boxall in his plans for 2014.
  7. I know I basing my team on Jason going Elite and Brady coming in, but keeping the rest. If Jason is staying however then this will obviously mean more of a shake up, I just do not think we should make it too drastic. All of our guys go well at our place so surely that is the platform for a good side.
  8. Cannot see the Rebels management "rewarding" Nick,Josh,Alex and Charlie with the tin tack after saying how great the team spirit has been throughout this extraordinary season. I can see Nick and Josh both comfortably hitting a 9 average, and Alex getting up to a high 7, and Charlie progressing to a 5 next term. I see Cookie has every intention of staying in the Prem next year according to the Speedway Star, so maybe Jason will aswell, whatever happens I think we would be barmy to mess with what we have.
  9. I tend to agree, continuity is the key, home form is imperative. Nick and Josh are top riders at away venues, and if Alex continues his improvement the Rebels wil have another formidable top three next year.
  10. I think new aussies come in on a 5 , not sure.........Statman???
  11. Well now the season is over ( and what a season ), here`s my take on next years team. Like most people I think Doyley will go full time Elite, he is far to good at Prem level now and I wish him all the very best in the future. He will go down as our most successful rider to date, I now put him above Zorro. 1. Nick Morris 8.84 2. Kyle Newman 5.32 3. Alex Davies 7.38 4. Brady Kurtz 5.00 5. Josh Grajoznek 8.41 6. Charles Wright 4.30 7. Lewis Rose. 3.00 42.25. Total This is assuming a 42.50 limit.
  12. Don`t know about pathetic, more gutted I think, but he said in the Star that there was always next year.
  13. Yes correct, opposition riders win...........just, where as Rebels riders are miles in front at the finish line....simple. Ha ha ha, you can have six months seething and knashing your teeth until next March DB.Have a good Xmas, already looking forward to crossing swords with you again next year.
  14. Somerset Roll Of Honour 2013. Table Toppers. Play off Champs. K.O. Cup Winners. Pairs Winners. Third place in the Fours. Scored 40 or more points in every match. Top four heat leaders in the Prem. Jason Doyle third place in the PLRC. Surely the top team performance in all three leagues. Very proud to be a REBEL. Congratulations to the whole team down at the OTA,it has been an absolute pleasure following you this year, roll on 2014, let`s do it again. ps Best race describer on the updates site......Statman.
  15. What about Doyley and Nick, winners through and through.
  16. Tend to agree, he didn`t cover himself in glory when he left, especially on the networking sites. The Rebels management and supporters stood by him when he got himself in hot water over the Rye incident, and the decision to keep Monberg was a success aswell. I hope he has grown up a bit in his season away, because a Sam Masters on form is a formidable rider at this level and I wish him well.
  17. Well done all the Rebels, win or lose in the final it has been an absolute pleasure following you lot this year, easily the best team in the Prem by a mile.Bring on the Monarchs (again) should be a belter of a match.
  18. From tweets Summers just ended Morris` hopes of a max, Doyley still unbeaten.
  19. Now 35 - 37 I think that now means Rebels in the final.
