This would cost "how much". Good team though.

Whilst living round Roscoe`s house, unlikely.

" Lot of pressure on Oliver Allen to back up Doyley now. I would have preferred Klindt to Aspgren tbh but we will see. From the looks of things not the powerhouse appearance of last years team but packed with potential. I think Workington for me are pre season favs with Ippo looking handy,so maybe the trophies might be spread out a bit in 2014. Very disappointed to be losing Nick, I`m sure he will be gutted not to be turning out for us again,as will the OTA faithful who have really taken to him. "Despite the Kurtz family receiving confirmation from the BSPA Office in Rugby that Brady’s wish to ride in Denmark during 2013 would not affect his proposed 2014 3.00 starting average with Somerset, the fact he then attained a riding average with the Danish authorities meant that Brady would no longer be eligible for that 3.00 average, and instead a 5.00 figure would be applied, something, it would appear, that the BSPA Office failed to make the Kurtz family or the Somerset promotion aware of." The above is from the Somerset site which I think shows that no skullduggery was intended by the Rebels

Still unofficial of course, maybe the Rebels have someone lined up to replace Nick already.....plan B, shame if it is true though, hugely popular this term. I think that leaves 6.95 ish for the replacement .......Nicolai Klindt 6.93 ?
-
Can`t see that happening.
-
What would that be then?
-
The "SCB" bit didn`t appear on my PC to start with, so I presumed it was me lol OK,so if what you say is accurate it would make good sense to get the team ratified asap, as delay "could" make things difficult.Maybe this has already been done.
-
Hi Cyclone, I have made a sort of an appeal on here to get it ratified one way or the other at top level so we can all move on.If the powers that be deem he is in fact a 5 ok, but until they do he still remains a 3, that is where we are at the moment, hardly rambling more fact. There must be a time when all teams have to be certified before they can race, now if the Rebels are illegal then surely it will be pointed out, I am unsure when this happens, perhaps you can enlighten me.
-
Err yes Starman I think we all realize that, it would be nice to know officially, that is the point of my post.
-
So where are we then? Would another team have to put in some sort of complaint,to get it looked into,or has it already happened and they have decided nothing is wrong. The silence is deafening. Certainly nothing on the Official Speedway site, only on here, which of course in the scheme of things means diddley squat.
-
Does anyone know when this business with Brady Kurtz can be officially sorted so everyone can move on.

Great entertainer at Somerset, but never quite made the next step up. What about the Cooorreeyyy Gattthhhercole moments of a few years back on the Somerset videos, great fun.
-
So at the end of all of this you state that, the rules have been changed, they were changed because it was Somerset who were the club involved, and had your club been offered him you would have been appalled and would have ranted on here that your particular club had become a favourite of the powers that be and had effectively broken the rules to accommodate him for you.I am not an expert on the rules of speedway ( who is ) but there must be some reason why he is on a three however obscure, what I do disagree with is your thinly veiled attack that it is something to do with Somerset being some sort of favoured team in high places and your ridiculous claim that had he been offered to your team you would have said no.

The Brady Kurtz thing, would anyone who supports all the other teams who have been crying and whinging about us getting him on a 3 average, say "no thanks cos he should be on a 5" if he became available today, no didn`t think so.

Looks like a good side for the Hammers like the look of Bech.

This team reminds me very much of the 2008 Rebels where we had Doyle, Kramer and Frampton as a strong top three. The other four were Katt,Kroger,Walker and Werner, these guys regularly swopped places in the main body and reserve. This is where I think there is a similarity because I can see Wrighty, Kurtz x 2 and maybe Stark doing the same thing. this will always keep us strong in reserve which is as important as having a strong top three. Home form is important of course and Todd goes well around the OTA and it is a good psychological move having him in the side to help Brady along with the other aussies. I do not think we are as strong as last season purely because we have lost a little of our continuation with the departures of Kyle and Alex, I thought they would both be nailed on for this year, however when the decision to bring back Jason and Nick was made, mathematically it became impossible.Any new team is full of ifs and buts, but if Brady can reproduce good form ( remember the Rebels wanted him last season ) and Wrighty continues his improvement and of course the old chestnut of no injuries I think the Rebels will be in the shake up at the finish..........we shall see.

Doyle No1 excellent.
-
So it`s reserve, then
-
Is it definitly 5 then
-
max frike or darcy ward !
-
I have a funny feeling who the final one will be.

Excellent review of Somerset`s great 2013 by Statman in this weeks Star, well done.
-
Olly Allen gets injured often and won zero races in the cup walloping of Rye at the OTA. Brady Kurtz is a good shout as I pointed out in an earlier post, coupled with brother Todd who did himself no harm with a great performance in the 4 man nailbiter at Rye as a guest.I`m not sure that gary would go with another prem virgin having maybe gone with Brady,so not sure about Gino. Nick and Charlie must nailed on. How about Sedgy he wrote in this weeks Star that it was a mistake leaving Somerset, not sure what he would come in on now,he seems to have got his enthusiasm back, still we will find out Thursday..........can`t wait.

Kyle started on 5.31 and finished on 5.32, riding in the side he was in,I would have thought he would have been looking for something up near 6 ish. I take your point he moved into the main body of the team . but in three of his programmed rides he was with Jason Doyle, so I think an improvement of 0.01 could have been better. However I had him in my team for 2014 !
