  1. Fairly evenly matched top 5's I think, reserve strength could be the key although I think Starke did ok last season .
  2. The starting averages for the top five of Somerset and Ippo are seperated by half a point .
  3. Yeah no problem there, your team does look very solid , but then again it has done at the beginning of the season a few times before, the trick is still to be there at the sharp end. I dont think Gino would have got 7 if he had been riding, but I do think Paul would have managed more than 2, but you can only beat what is in front of you.Hopefully Paul will be back next week or we will be in the same trouble as we were yesterday.Onwards and upwards lol.
  4. Pile up for Poole, ankle Three of Gino`s rides are included in Ippo`s 29 points, the only one that wasnt was Nico`s win.So I will give you the three for that so that is now 42-32.The point I was making was how poor we were at reserve not the overall score, but the Rebels top 5 comfortably out scored the Witches by counting Gino`s r/r`s. In the scores Statto has given ritchie and cam 5 rides and Rohan 6, but also itemised Gino`s r/r`s, in your world 42-36 for top 5 and Ippo`s reserve scores and you get 52.
  5. On the Compton issue I think Gary will probably give him the P/Boro match and if things remain the same it will be bye. A quick look at the Rebels home matches shows he has only beaten Perks. I know that finding a replacement will be tough , but surely anything must be better than not beating anyone. I had a feeling that without Starke we could get bitten, but given Covatti had an extraordinary night only two extra points at reserve would have done the job, not much wrong with the Rebels top 5 who dominated the Witches equivalent 42-29.
  6. Also hoping for a Lanham/Worrall backlash from a not very good show at Foxhall.
  7. The Manzeres situation is equalised by Starke not riding leaving the Rebels vulnerable at reserve. I think the Rebs should have the top end under control , but in Daniel King the Witches have probably the top performer in the PL so far. Rebels to win for me but only by about 12 , can't see top 50's this time.
  8. Traditionally a tough gig for the Rebels although Doyley never had much trouble so not really expecting much tonight. However Lanham and Worrall could endear themselves to the Fans with a good show regardless of the score. Cant see anyone troubling King who is in great form at the moment , Tungate due a good one aswell so could be an uphill battle.
  9. Vissing in for Kennett makes the Rockets stronger imo and i expect him to hit double figures from 5 starts, Danes generally go well around our place even if they haven't seen the place, still fancy us though by about 12. If Worrell and lanham continue their improvement could be a few more.
  10. Vissing a better bet than Kennett at our place, and going quite well at the moment.
  11. Err think this post should be on the Plymouth Somerset thread which don't exist Looking at the updates site it would appear that Bradys mechanical problems cost us tonight. Still a good point won shame it wasnt 3
  12. So I will start the first one off for us this year. I hoping we will have another good season like the last three. Early matches are usually a bit hit and miss but the Rebels have started ok imo so far. Its good that Charles is back and Ritchie recorded two good wins against Poole the other week. Provided Josh,Brady and Charles ride to form I can see a Rebels win by at least 10.
  13. A bit similar to the "performance" as a replacement for Olly Allen which cost Somerset the Play Offs last season. Only headed Sedgy all night.
  14. Just got in and looks like we got a bit of a tonking. Still never mind early doors and all that. Feel good for Shads and Sid proper supporters who have had a thin time of it lately. I might even drag myself up Sid as you keep telling me. I'm sure the Rebs will bounce back next week against Plymouth with a full septet .
  15. Josh goes very well around Rye and has guested for them on numerous occasions, Brady was also very impressive on his visits last season, I remember one brilliant scrap between him and Eddie, just gutted I'm can't go😔
  16. No Charlie means a body blow to the Rebels, all riders bar Josh and Brady can deputise , Ritchie and Paul need a good one. Still Paul banged in a paid max last season at Rye last year, l think it could be Rye by about 8.
  17. Good work out for the Rebels, nice to see Ritchie among the points that will do his confidence a power of good. No news on Charlie yet hope all is well . Good luck to the lads tomorrow.
  18. Well done Rye, good result get well soon Olly, hope you are not out for too long.
  19. Good luck to the lads tonight, don't go too mad it's only a friendly but I'm sure there will be se keen racing as there are a few ex Rebels on show. Safe journey to anyone travelling, on holiday myself so I'm just going to get myself sorted in the bar for the England match with the updates for speedway on the phone, excellent🍹
  20. Usual crap from Rebels knockers, no one states that the admission price has been reduced because of the non appearance of Chris and Magic, still a good opener against decent opposition.
