  1. Need Ritchie to show some of his away form to make this close I think.
  2. Wrighty listed on the updates site, good luck to him tonight. Max for Ritchie last night, more of the same please.
  3. Indians v Vetlanda brilliant meeting, loved Tai`s team riding and the sheer speed and excitement whenever Emil the Russian is on the track.Get him and Ward back in the GP please. Gold stars also for NKI and Lindback
  4. If he can get his starts sorted, Brady Kurtz has a great chance imo.
  5. Somerset will be hoping to put behind them the shock defeat against Plymouth from last week in their next fixture against the Bears. The home side are still not sure if Charles Wright will be available again, he was certainly a big miss last week. If not it will be r/r for him. I`m looking for the Rebels to respond to last week in a positive way especially at the start where we were guilty of numerous misdemeanors which hindered our progress. The events of last Sunday are still fresh in everyone`s mind and our thoughts and prayers go out to Lewis Kerr`s family, but the Rebels skipper Josh Grajczonek who unfortunately was part of the accident will be getting back on his bike for the first time for the Rebels and i am sure supporters of both sides will give him the support and encouragement he needs. As usual good and safe racing please.
  6. Jack was not dropped like a bad smell as you so eloquently put it. Somerset were told he was a 5 like a few other Aussie lads and the team was put together. When all the trouble with the government started a 7 put him and a few others over the limit , so he and others lost out. His replacement Leigh Lanham is currently averaging 6.73 ,and increase of nearly 2 points whereas Jack is on 6.38 a drop of 0.62. Leigh`s average would currently make him Plymouth`s No1 in the current sheets. I like the look of Jack and he definitely one for the future, but we will see. I have already stated on another thread I like the look of the new Plymouth septet and expect a tough match tonight , hopefully we can reverse the score this time.
  7. After last nights surprise result against Somerset I like the look of the revised septet which has Todd Kurtz at reserve. If James Wright can hit any sort of form the Devils could be in with a late run.I see Newman is back at No1 , that could be a problem as he clearly struggled there before. The fans down there have been starved of a good side for too long, good luck to them if they can string a few results together, but not tonight of course lol.
  8. This is getting a be a bit funny now, accusations of deliberately losing the match to lower averages ha ha, Somerset will be in the top 6 at the end of the season I reckon and if we finish outside of the top 2 EVERYONE will want to avoid us over two legs. To be fair Rye and Glasgow had their moments early on in their respective matches at the OTA before the Rebels went up a gear and blew them away, so it wasnt totally unexpected that somebody just might get a little too far in front to catch up. This coupled with dreadful gating , exclusions , etc etc didnt help and great riding from the Devils plus no Charles Wright didnt help. Amazingly the same sides (pretty much) lined up a fortnight ago with the Rebels winning by roughly the same score in the cup with the Rebels going on to win the second leg as well.I think tonight will be very interesting, don`t think Charlie will be there though I think Gary will keep him back for Sunday , I think it would be a mistake to ride him tonight. Good luck to the Rebels tonight and all stay safe.
  9. No Charles Wright tonight or tomorrow for the Rebels so Lanham, Worrall and Starke need to be on the money for the r/r. In fairness they are all on it at the moment at home so I`m expecting a comfortable three points.Tomorrow will be a lot closer I think due to the Simota factor at reserve. Hope Charles makes it for Sunday as he won it for us at reserve last season.
  10. Big three meetings coming up for the Rebels turbo twins, stay safe lads.
  11. Brady sometimes has a problem in heat 1 I`ve noticed, after that it is normal service. King may get the better of him first up but not to sure after that! I reckon the Rebs wll win this comfortably, the Rebels top 5 are all going exceptionally well at the moment and if Ritchie has his gating boots on it could be another 50 + total. Oliver Greenwood is giving the excellent Paul Starke a bit of support, so barring disasters should be three points.
  12. Did anyone manage to video the Heat 13 clash against Rye between Brady,Josh , Eddie and Nickolaj. Ive been hearing it was a classic.
  13. I love this post, it sums up all that I like about Somerset. I have been to quite a few tracks over the years and there is not one that delivers the entertainment achieved almost weekly down at the OTA. The Pairs the other week was brilliant with several riders having outstanding races that bought the crowd to their feet. How rare is FTG posted on the updates site for a Somerset match, occasionally you will get "Tapes go up, Rebels gate,5-1". How often as well do you get "Rebels left for dead at the tapes" then a great description of how as ER put it the Rebels"hunt down their prey". This goes right back to the days of Glen Cunningham who was comfortably the worst starter I have ever seen ( sorry Glen), who would then set about gradually getting past everyone before nicking it on the line, he didn`t always get there, but great entertainment. Brady Kurtz continues to improve at a staggering rate with one poster from the Redcar match comparing him to Darcy Ward, with his regular guesting spot for Sheffield he must be a threat for the PLRC . What must be very pleasing for Gary May must be the form of Lanham, Wright and particularly Starke who has single handily held up the reserve part of the team all season. Well done Leigh on your paid max in this match long may it continue.
  14. Paul Starke had a painful looking tumble on Monday and couldn't continue, he could be a big miss if he is still injured. However Charlie looked like he had suffered no lasting effects following his crash at the Redcar fiasco last week.
