  1. Off course not, just an example I thought most people would understand. Hence the lol reference.
  2. What about if Wolbert started showing Glasgow form at the squeaky bum time
  3. Your a bit obsessed with this cheque book business Lewy don`t know why. Lots of mega money for Starke, Greenwood, Lanham and Wright wouldn`t think so. the three heat leaders will be on more I should imagine and rightly so. You need top riders to win things and we are sticking with ours. The experience thing is a valid point but not if he himself is struggling a bit. This is not a dig at Leigh either because if yo look at some of my previous posts you will see I have supported him. I wonder how much Cook, Masters , Sedgy and Wolbert are costing Edinburgh, I`d guess more than our top 4. If any of them were not doing the business at this stage of the season Im sure the promotion would look for a change. Have too agree they look very strong favourites now.
  4. You know who it is then ? nothing on the Rebels site yet.
  5. Why are they a comic duo ???? Somerset have done rather well with these two at the helm. Leigh and most other riders understand its a results game, and if the management feel a change is necessary so be it. Try telling Alex Ferguson who too put in his team, "Don`t play Keane this week Alex he`s not very nice" . Glasgow kiss now approaching lol
  6. Don`t think Leigh or Brady have let the Rebels down, both have improved their averages, to the tune of about two points. Brady sits about 6th in the Prem avarages I think, and Leigh`s starting average was dragged down by bad injuries last season. I agree that he is unlucky to be going, and Ritchie I should imagine had been sweating. Gary has a good record in tweaking the team if he has too, famously bringing in Charles Wright for Stefan Neilsen in 2013 and going for JPM instead of Masters in 2012, when Sam wasn`t really on it. No complaints though from Leigh on Twitter, hope he gets fixed up asap. TBH havent a clue who they will bring in though.
  7. Can`t believe nobody's started this one off so here goes. Close match, good chance for the Monarchs who are really on it at the moment, good opportunity for the Rebels too put some indifferent results behind them, although the Worky result was great. Could go either way.
  8. There you are Lewy still enjoying your fine results from the other week, have you forgotten Somerset did the double over Plymouth a couple of weeks earlier in the cup ? Not sure who we could bring in to replace Leigh to be honest, but on current averages anyone from the Devils team. Also nice to see Todd and Kyle are banging in some good scores, I think with Todd at reserve you have a good chance of making the play offs, which will be good for the south coast.
  9. Thanks for keeping me up to speed Coomie, just thought it sounded a bit harsh on him, as I pointed out in an earlier post his average of 6.73 would make him No1 for Plymouth according to the latest green sheets, I think we can settle for that from our 5th highest, and a paid max as well.
  10. Has Kyle made a statement about the accident, or put any blame on his friend Josh. I should imagine Josh is feeling pretty down about the last week in general. Before these incidents I cannot recall any major reports or accusations towards Josh in this respect. The speedway season is full of should he shouldn`t he incidents, most of them are split second decisions with the adrenaline pumping. Truly there are a few riders names who crop up more often than others but in 40 years are watching speedway I do not believe anyone wants to hurt anyone else. Brady Kurtz is an outstanding talent, he is also 18 years old and carries the weight of being the Rebels No 1, he will make wrong decisions occasionally, like he did last season against Newcastle with the match comfortably won and having already scored a max went chasing after Ritchie Worrall and ended up in the fence with a broken arm, finished his season and may have cost us the title. Leigh Lanham has put two points on his average, enough said.
  11. Need Ritchie to show some of his away form to make this close I think.
  12. Wrighty listed on the updates site, good luck to him tonight. Max for Ritchie last night, more of the same please.
  13. Indians v Vetlanda brilliant meeting, loved Tai`s team riding and the sheer speed and excitement whenever Emil the Russian is on the track.Get him and Ward back in the GP please. Gold stars also for NKI and Lindback
  14. If he can get his starts sorted, Brady Kurtz has a great chance imo.
  15. Somerset will be hoping to put behind them the shock defeat against Plymouth from last week in their next fixture against the Bears. The home side are still not sure if Charles Wright will be available again, he was certainly a big miss last week. If not it will be r/r for him. I`m looking for the Rebels to respond to last week in a positive way especially at the start where we were guilty of numerous misdemeanors which hindered our progress. The events of last Sunday are still fresh in everyone`s mind and our thoughts and prayers go out to Lewis Kerr`s family, but the Rebels skipper Josh Grajczonek who unfortunately was part of the accident will be getting back on his bike for the first time for the Rebels and i am sure supporters of both sides will give him the support and encouragement he needs. As usual good and safe racing please.
  16. Jack was not dropped like a bad smell as you so eloquently put it. Somerset were told he was a 5 like a few other Aussie lads and the team was put together. When all the trouble with the government started a 7 put him and a few others over the limit , so he and others lost out. His replacement Leigh Lanham is currently averaging 6.73 ,and increase of nearly 2 points whereas Jack is on 6.38 a drop of 0.62. Leigh`s average would currently make him Plymouth`s No1 in the current sheets. I like the look of Jack and he definitely one for the future, but we will see. I have already stated on another thread I like the look of the new Plymouth septet and expect a tough match tonight , hopefully we can reverse the score this time.
  17. After last nights surprise result against Somerset I like the look of the revised septet which has Todd Kurtz at reserve. If James Wright can hit any sort of form the Devils could be in with a late run.I see Newman is back at No1 , that could be a problem as he clearly struggled there before. The fans down there have been starved of a good side for too long, good luck to them if they can string a few results together, but not tonight of course lol.
  18. This is getting a be a bit funny now, accusations of deliberately losing the match to lower averages ha ha, Somerset will be in the top 6 at the end of the season I reckon and if we finish outside of the top 2 EVERYONE will want to avoid us over two legs. To be fair Rye and Glasgow had their moments early on in their respective matches at the OTA before the Rebels went up a gear and blew them away, so it wasnt totally unexpected that somebody just might get a little too far in front to catch up. This coupled with dreadful gating , exclusions , etc etc didnt help and great riding from the Devils plus no Charles Wright didnt help. Amazingly the same sides (pretty much) lined up a fortnight ago with the Rebels winning by roughly the same score in the cup with the Rebels going on to win the second leg as well.I think tonight will be very interesting, don`t think Charlie will be there though I think Gary will keep him back for Sunday , I think it would be a mistake to ride him tonight. Good luck to the Rebels tonight and all stay safe.
