  1. Having a real bad time with fixtures this season. Booked today off work to go this, 👎, on top of finding out the KO Cup semi at Rye is on a day I'm going to a wedding😕, fingers crossed for next Saturday lol
  2. Coventry a couple of seasons back, Plymouth definitely one of the form teams at the moment imo.
  3. Bit harsh calling the devils a joke club Nice paid 10 for Brady on friday and another sub 57 sec time, and still averaging well over 9, I`ll settle for that tbh. Personally would just like him to cut back a bit on the guest apps, couldn`t bear to go into play offs again without our No1 if he gets injured.
  4. Do you agree though now we are at the sharp end it was a good move by both teams if they want to win the play offs, or in Plymouths case qualify.
  5. Lewy logic Lanham last 4 matches for Rebels 13 points Jensen first 4 matches for Rebels 32 points. At the moment it looks like both teams have made a good move.
  6. Hmm Bowen in the top 5, get the point about the long tail, lot of pressure on the Jakobsen Lykke partnership. Guessing Lambert will be at 5.
  7. All the very best Leigh, thanks for helping us out this season.
  8. Brady guesting for Sheffield again tonight I see. Apart from P/Boro , also Edinburgh and Leicester, world u/21`s , as I said just seems a lot for an 18 year old.
  9. Careful aroundtheboards this forum is about opinions, not right or wrong. I dont think Naj is necessarily challenging your view just giving a different take. I agree with his point where you said "Somerset faithful never agreed to your release" not sure about that. Having been watching speedway on and off for almost as long as you, I can understand your attitude regarding loyalty to riders, unfortunately sport in general isn`t like that now, its all about results. All riders know when they sign for a club that they may be moved out for no reason. Kyle Howarth lost his place at Swindon to accommodate Darcy Ward for instance.Gary May is and has been a very successful manager for Somerset ,regardless of his racing career. Whether Rasmus is loyal on not he will be treated the same as all the others . I personally have not heard a bad word from Leigh himself about his time at Somerset, in fact on his twitter feed he wished the club all the best.I too thought he was unfortunate and have supported him on this forum, but I do understand why Gary made the change, time will tell if he has made the right move.
  10. Shed loads of guest appearances notibly for P/biro and Sheffield amongst others Still only 18 and having the pressure of being No1 not only for the Rebels but also in his guest appearances , just an observation anyway.
  11. Great 7 points for the Rebels at the weekend has put us right back in the frame for second position in the table. Having already turned over the Panthers at the Showground in March we must be in with a shout again. Home form is a bit patchy at the moment but this weekends showing must have given the whole club and supporters a lift. I`m not sure what the crack is with guest appearances is, but if the club have a say, I think young Brady needs to cut back a bit now. He appears to have dropped a bit from earlier on in the season and maybe his hectic schedule is catching him up a bit. We certainly need him on the top of his game for the play offs. Very pleased that Josh had a good meeting at Glasgow after his trials and tribulations, looking forward to him leading from the front. With Charles, Paul and also Ritchie amongst the points again and Rasmus back as well things looking brighter for the team. I think I`ve managed to sneak Bank Holiday Monday off so if my petal does not manacle me to the house I shall get myself up the A1 at 3 for the match. COYR. OMG off topic I know, just read the awful news about Darcy Ward, please God let him be ok , get well soon son.
  12. Another match winning show from Paul Starke at reserve.
  13. No Rasmus or Josh today , so a Tigers win on the cards.
  14. Didn't really expect anything tonight at the home of the champions, and got nothing. Onwards and eupwards at Berwick tomorrow hope Josh is ok after his spill.
  15. Gutsy win for the Rebels, clearly still not quite on it, I shall be interested to hear from my friends who were there to get the inside story, looks like King is ok after what sounded like a nasty moment.
  16. No, Ritchie does tend to improve as the meeting progresses, you need your top boys at the end, bit much to ask Jensen to slot in there I think on his debut. If it goes pear shaped for Ritchie again, then I think it is inevitable.
  17. I think we shouldn`t read too much into the Edinburgh result tbh, four Monarchs were definitely on it big time that night, they had the top rider in the division in 6 races, an ex Rebel who knows the quickest way round, a new lad who rode out of his skin ( bet he does not match that show again this season) and of course our old mate Sammy directing operations from the pits. For the Rebels only three turned up as well, Starky, Wrighty and Josh. It has been pointed out that it is the only time Brady has not won a race , really can`t see that happening again. Jensen coming in is a wake up call to Ritchie, Northern tour is crucial to him I think, but an 8 would be handy tomorrow. Between 10 an 12 for me too Coomie.
  18. This is definitely an area where he needs to improve, can be very suss at starts, if he can sort himself out in this direction I think he could surprise some of the big guns in the PLRC in September. I think if he chooses to do another season with Somerset and doubles up it will be the best way forward for him. I don`t think he is quite ready for the big move up next term.
  19. Live about 10 and on tv 3, I think certainly more than once, and on the Somerset boxed sets loads. How about yourself ? Re run do a great DVD of all The Rebels matches.
  20. Don`t agree with this at all, but sort of says it all with the "only seen Brady ride live once" reference. If you get an opportunity watch heat 13 Rebels v Rye absolute classic where all four riders are unbelievable. I think apart from Edinburgh and Newcastle every other Prem team would love to have Brady as their No 1. It`s quite amazing how much stick this 18 year old takes on here sometimes. Leigh has done a great job coming in at the last minute for the Rebels and good luck to him in the future.
