  1. Great signing for Plymouth, don`t know for sure, but if Brady had wanted to do Prem at the beginning of the season i reckon he would still be at Somerset. If he can`t put bums on seats there they all want shooting, so come on Plymouth get behind your team. All the very best young man.
  2. In those days we used to stand on the third bend, that match was weird tho. We could see the riders gate, then they would disappear completely, then reappear as if by magic as they approached us on the third bend then sort of go again as they exited the fourth bend only to reappear again at the gate lol. The annoying thing about that day was as I recall was the weather had been lovely all day.
  3. Would be nice to hear the official reason why it was called off , to prevent bickering on here. Lol
  4. Sounds like a bit of a disaster last night unfortunately, in all fairness one thing you never get is problems with the track at the OTA which is often praised for its quality. I can't remember in 16 years of following the Rebels of many matches getting called off during the action. I travelled down one season for a match against Edinburgh and it was called off after 2 heats, and another time against Newport , I think it was Zorros debut, when a mist rolled in from the sea and you could not see the track! Strange shout from the Plymouth promotion as their team were definitely still in it only 6 points adrift and Jack had just won another race.
  5. Unique situation IMO, original fixture should be deleted from the official fixture list as Plymouth technically had no team and were not running. You can't call off a match against a team that does not exist or is not running. It follows then that this Saturday's match is the proper LC fixture. If it rains this Saturday and is called off then it becomes a re arranged fixture.
  6. Not happy with in form Paul Starke now unavalible for the Rebels on Saturday because it is a re arranged fixture. So Plymouths personal problems impact on our team, that can't be right surely.
  7. Paul Starke and Charles Wright two riders that not many clubs were prepared to take a chance with, couple of seasons back. Now the engine room for the Rebels.
  8. You generally have so much to say about everything , was wondering what you thought about this evenings match.
  9. Very good again from the Rebels. Every rider in the top 5 recording a victory. The run goes on. Where`s Jenga ?
  10. Be fair though, putting a team together with a top 4, is always going to leave you wanting at the other end. If one fails it normally means curtains. Wrighty bit off tonight for the Rebels, step forward BWD, Jake and Starkey. Not sure the Tigers have this option.
  11. Confused....Somerset riding "badly". One defeat all season so far.
  12. First really big match of the season with title favourites Glasgow taking on the Rebels. The Tigers will rely heavily on their top four and hope they all bring their "A" game to town. The Rebels are much stronger in the reserve and second string dept and with Josh and especially Rohan flying at the moment, it could be a long night for the Jocko`s. Safe journey to all travelling fans and a good safe meeting please. Rebels win for me, by how much?, depends on the above.
  13. Fourteen should be enough for the Rebels in the return, I predicted between 10 and 15 at the start. According to the updates it could have been worse for the Comets who certainly appeared to get the bounce of the ball as it were. Williamson interfered in at least three results, Allens puncture also cost the Rebels points. Still hopefully what goes around comes around. I agree it will probably be decided on how the Rebels newbies adapt to the Comets track, In our favour an in form Rohan will return, should be a cracker.
  14. Excellent guest Worrall flying at the moment, strengthens the Comets.Whats wrong with Wells?
  15. If Brady signs he will be a great addition to the team, definitely strengthens the Devils. He was great for us at Somerset, I was disappointed when he decided to go full time Elite, I thought he needed another season including doubling up this year. I can see him averaging 9+ easy.
  16. Tasty little opener in the defence of the Cup. Comets going ok at the moment, not sure if they have enough to trouble the Rebels though. No Tungate is a pain as he seems to be settling in nicely at the OTA, but Howarth is normally a good guest, and he was widely touted as a possible Rebel this term. Rebels win then by 10 to 15 should be enough to progress.
  17. I did point out that I was not there and was going by Statto's excellent descriptions of the races. As Naj has pointed out King was on the wrong end of a 1-5 when he came down so you are assuming maybe he would have recovered to share the heat had he not fallen. There are other riders like Kerr , Covatti and Risinger who should have scored more and been more competitive I think from a witches point of view. I see Covatti had a big off in the match the previous day which may have hindered him although nothing was said regarding this. If you award 9 points to Danny the witches still lose by 12, take off the tac and it is 14. Your opinion was by losing by 30 that wasn't so bad, on my opinion it was, hardly "classic".
  18. Wasn't there mate but 1-5's in heats 10,11,13,14 and 15 even without King suggest otherwise.
  19. Very impressed with the early season form from the 2016 Rebels, long may it continue. A lot of the headlines have been about BWD and Jake and rightly so in their debut seasons, however the old boys Josh, Paul and Charlie have quietly been going about their business in an impressive manner. Josh only headed once in 10 away races, Charles improved so much he has been promoted to heat leader with Swindon ( could not believe how quick he was out of the traps at Rye ) and Paul also getting a top 5 outing for Leicester. If they continue to perform there is already the platform in place for the 2017 team. I know it is very early days but this team is already getting praise from posters on here, which is always nice , long may it continue, well done again Gary May and the team.
  20. Hope it is on tonight, so the lads can get some track time. Fantastic start to the away campaign we need to carry on in the same vein at home. King is a Pairs winner and Covatti was a pest last season with various teams he guested for lol. I think the Rebels have a bit too much for the Witches all round though, with Jake and BWD already showing a liking for the OTA. Zach has been a bit unfortunate with machinery problems hindering his progress so hoping he can have a goodun tonight.Safe meet as always to all riders, Rebels by 10 for me.
  21. King is a Pairs winner and Covatti was a pain last season particularly as a guest at our place. I agree that I think the reserves will be pivotal, additionally the Wright/Starke pair are quite potent this year. A Rebels win for me by about 8.
  22. Well done Somerset again, especially Josh beating King twice, reverse fixture tomorrow will be just as tight IMO.
  23. Jake, Brad and Zach will not have seen any of the Prem tracks, did ok against P/Boro, more of the same please.
