Early impressions regarding being in the top tier of Speedway on this forum seems to be 20% discussing actual Speedway things and 80% personal attacks and criticisms. I hope once the season starts these figures are reversed.

Regarding Rohan the final round is at Kurri Kurri I think, a track he goes very well on. Hopefully he can stick some points on his score this time. As for the winner I'm hoping Sedgy makes it , ex Rebel of course who got his first chance in GB as did Sam Masters.

Yes correct Jenga, so how would the line ups be sorted for a play off. Yes correct Jenga, so how would the line ups be sorted for a play off. Yeah not having a good time at the moment. Still he started slowly last term as well, before really being on it for the second half of the season. Agree though that your number one needs to be on it from the start.

Assuming Glasgow win the league and Somerset were to finish bottom of the Prem, the Rebels current line up would make a mess of Glasgows current team in any sort of play off situation.

Not much to discuss at the moment I think Chris tbh. The team is pretty much what I think most of us expected. Shame no BWD at reserve tho, I think he will find it hard in Swindons top five. I'm following Rohan in Aus to keep me interested as I'm bored silly with Belle Vue and Coventry, and the handbags on the Poole thread. Poole remind me of West Ham FC supporters, fighting each other lol.

Oh dear is this the sort of carry on we can expect in the new Premiership every week. Think I may have to give it a miss if so. Please other teams if you must have a tear up on basically bu**er all do it on your own threads. You know it makes sense.

General opinion on here from existing old Elite teams is how crap we will be, and criticism from all corners about how Gary has made this mistake and that mistake with the team. Firstly thank you for the warm welcome to the top league😏. This reminds me very much like last season with the Somerset knockers having a field day when our septet was announced. For what it's worth I shall be happy with a mid table finish in 2017 , a season of consolidation. It took us 10 years of gradual growth to be become one of the top sides in the old Prem . As has been pointed out by the regular guys who see these riders week in week out, our lads are rather good round our place. Visiting riders will soon find out that getting to the first bend in the lead does not necessarily mean race over. It will be tough away I think, but all Speedway away fixtures are tough. I say welcome to Pat and Jan and all the new clubs that will be coming down to the OTA this year, win or lose you will know you have been in a match. Bring it on COYR.

All this talk about Holder coming to us I really do think it was never on due to all the reasons given. The guy I think who would have revelled at our place would have been Chris Harris. A notoriously poor gater he would have loved the chase as would the supporters. Fairly local lad as well. I'm ok with our team though and looking forward to this new challenge.

This isn't last years Elite League, not many teams will win at the OTA. All of the 2016 guys are formidable at home and all have experience away. . Not sure how many of 2016 Elite guys have done many laps at our place. Doyle, obviously . After that not sure. Lindgren and Andersen are quality I agree, but the rest of Poole and Wolves I'm not that impressed with tbh. For sure our guys need to be on it from the start as will all the teams, new league set up , step up in class for us, bring it on COYR.

You going tonight mate.

Looks like Rohan has carried on from last season, just won in Kurri Kurri again. Who could you say would definitely give him s race at our place on current form. Not many. I would take a punt on him at No 1, which would give us greater strength in depth away. Option 2, for me from the above. Chris for K/ Lynn.
-
The only one I'd have out of these would be Brady. This team would be ok at home , struggle a bit away .
-
Wasn't it three into two didn't go, namely Vissing, Monberg and Masters and Gary went with the first two. Sam spat the dummy allegedly, and said some bad stuff on the media. In fairness Sam has shaped up now and would be a good signing imo. In saying that I would be amazed if he left the Wolves.
-
Good luck Josh with your new team. You have been a great guy for us and take with you the mantle of being the captain of the most successful team Somerset team ever. Good luck to the Tigers for next year, you have signed a goodun.
-
Ha ha fair enough
-
Although I dont think it will happen re Chris at Somerset, he would be Close to home Good airport links Aussie connection Track he knows well and won the Pairs on. Downside it would seriously reduce our all round strength which I believe we are going to need especially at home.
-
Diidnt say he wasnt popular Im sure he is. All this talk of Bewley. is it a given that he is a Tiger next year. Someone said about Lunna maybe being a heat leader as well. not sure again. and the boy Smith has done well in the National .but as we found out with Zach its a tough step up in class at the next level. If one of the top three does have an off day that is a lot of pressure on the other four guys. I think if the points limit had remained the same I would be saying good start. For what its worth I think Scunnys 2017 line up looks very competitive if they can manage to all stay fit.
-
I'm guessing you've retired Snacky, I too wondered why we had been spared your pearls of wisdom lol. Good to see you still keep an eye on what's going on over here.Ps Was my grammar ok .
-
Glasgow even more top heavy this time than last. It's no good winning races if there is no one to back up. If one of your top three fails you are seriously in the doo dah. I think with the new points limit it's all about strength through out the team. I would have gone for two out of three of these, with Worrall the fall guy. He would easily get a no 1 jacket elsewhere.
-
The Hancock family business seem to be fairly successful in general, looking from the outside and knowing nothing about them personally I would say it would be totally out of character to risk such a going thing if they didn't think there was some chance of making it stick. If the set up had stayed the same I think we would have probably stayed in the old Prem. Any new venture carries risk, I certainly wish them all the very best with this new adventure.

Wasnt there a story about Josh wanting a smaller track. Lakeside not happening and Rye fixed up, is there another track smaller than ours. I think Josh is the guy we need to keep hold of from all of our champs from 2016. It will be a learning curve for us next year, the good thing is our guys from last season are formidable around our place. I would love to see the top five retained with Jake at 6 and a new number one.
-
Wouldn't take a punt on Hampel, too risky. I would love to keep BWD and Jake, especially at reserve, and I think Brady will push on next year especially in the watered down league. Brady, Rohan and Josh will not get headed by many at our place imo. Away matches will be the thing but these three will be competitive with solid proven second strings and reserves.
-
Would be good at home.

I wonder if the Rebels will announce the team 1-7 at the Christmas party as usual.
