  1. Good luck to the lads tonight in their opening home fixture. Not sure if Josh will be riding which is a massive blow for us, but I think everyone else can take his rides. Hopefully Rohan has sorted his reported machine probs.
  2. Josh been replaced by Brady tonight for Sheffield, can only be r/r for him tomorrow I think. All the remaining Rebels can take his rides i presume as he is second in the averages.
  3. Well well, not happy at all about this alleged fracas with Charles and Josh. If it is true and Josh has broke his thumb as a consequence, how barmy is that. Potentially r/r for him then on Friday. Disappointed with both of them if this is true, especially Josh as the skipper.🤔
  4. Great moment for everyone on Wednesday when Rohan and Paul trundle out for heat 1 against Kings Lynn in the top tier of British Speedway. Like many others I was there for the first one in that muddy field with the portaloos, inadaquete lighting and a bouncy castle. Steve Bishop done the biz in heat 1 and we were on our way. I feel proud to have followed and supported this club through thick and thin and it is a testament to everyone over the years that have worked and toiled to get us where we are today. Most of those guys that were there at the start are still there keeping it ticking over. However it pans out this season one thing you can be sure of is that these people will still be there giving their time and energy to the cause. As usual had a great time at the Pairs last week, met up with old friends who treat you like they only saw you yesterday, rather that last year. Good luck to the Rebs, stay safe and get in there!!
  5. Yeah maybe, but not at full strength as Josh was riding for the Tigers and Greaves scored zip. I think if Josh had been at 5 for us with Jake at 6 and obviously a suitable replacement at 1 for them the Rebels would have won comfortabley. Good work out for the lads though, Hoaggard had a good debut and Charles has now had two good matches. It's not rocket science to see that it will be very hard for us this season primarily in heats 13 and 15 away from home, but at home I think we will surprise a few people. Just getting ready for the long drive down for the Pairs tonight, can't wait👍
  6. Just got the seasons preview Speedway Star edition today, pretty much everyone has us as no hopers. .... Sound familiar 😉 COYR
  7. Just a warm up, both sides stay safe, hope the track is in top shape.
  8. Regarding Josh at 5, maybe Gary will move him and Pat around for home and away matches as he did with Josh and Nick a couple of years ago.
  9. Oh ok, but not taking part in a competitive race as such. Thought I missed something 😳
  10. So it's Patrick and Rohan for the Rebs then in the Pairs.
  11. Not sure on this, but I think Olly had the best home average of all the Rebs.
  12. I wouldn't be so sure that two riders who have never seen the OTA would start as favourites tbh. As everyone knows it is not a gate and go place, many many races are won by people coming from behind here. I'd be inclined to go with a pair who have knowledge of the place.
  13. Isn't Brady recovering from a bang up as well ?
  14. I'm guessing Rohan and Josh for us in the Pairs. When will the full line up be announced, its only three weeks away now. It will give us a good early indicator on how established Elite guys who have not ridden the OTA will fare. Swindon will be favourites imo if it's Doyley and Nick for them.
  15. Just been watching the second disc of the Rebels 2016 season. Getting more and more impressed with Jake Allen with every meeting. It's great watching the highlights but it don't beat being there, something I miss immensely. Apart from Rye House, next nearest is Swindon followed by Leicester both 90 minute runs on a good day😔.
  16. As far as longevity goes I'd say Belle Vue, and also the club most people nowadays would probably know, however surely the biggest and most successful team must be the Wembley Lions. 100,000 fans for home matches, and also at one point a bigger supporters club than Manchester United no less. In the new Wembley Stadium in the club area there is a whole area devoted to the Wembley Lions and a bust of Sir Arthur Elvin.
  17. I bought the highlights of the season DVD at Xmas, and agree, amazing ride by Starky.
  18. Better performance by Rohan today in Aus , well done to him and also ex Reb Sam Masters.
