So it's OK to joke about someone potentially suffering from mental illness? -

I'm a big motogp/road racing fan too and I kind of get where your coming from, but this wasn't your average crash, and having witnessed it live nobody needs to see it again. -

You want to watch an incident where someone was potentially seriously injured? That's all kinds of wrong! -
So a late starter to speedway shouldn't be allowed the chance to develop in a development league because of his age? And he holds a British passport so there's not really an argument regarding that point.

Edinburgh v Birmingham 23-Jun-23 Championship
spt82 replied to eide67's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
10-15 years ago that would never have been anywhere near being called off, but it seems the riders/bikes, probably more the bikes, just can't cope with conditions like tonight and therefore was the correct decision, but I've certainly watched meetings in far worse conditions without much of a fuss being made. -

Not entirely true, he had a practice after the NDL match the week before. I did think he showed some promise though. -

Score 7-9 points a meeting not average! That would be unrealistic! I hoped before the season he would be capable of being a dominant reserve, if he was riding well he would be getting at least 5 rides a meeting, so those sort of scores would have been easily achievable. -

I think Birmingham made us look better than we were/are, well if he only hits his average that's why we'll struggle, pretty sure he was signed on the hope he would significantly improve on a 4 point average this year in what should be a weaker league. BTW I'm not against Jacob at all I've just found his form disappointing this year, was expecting consistent scores around 7-9 this year. -

Scores of 2 and 3 in the last two meetings at Armadale beating only Mulford and Clegg from the opposition doesn't point to good progress for me, at least last season when he was behind he was always well on the pace nipping away at the rider in front, this year when he's not made the gate, which is more often than not, he's getting well tailed off. If changes do happen I think he will be one of the riders making way. I agree that Lasse is progressing nicely this year, I thought Hook would've been capable of at least matching him. -

While Bickley has been poor, baring a few meetings where he looked to have improved a little, he's on a 2 point something average so you can't really expect that much, Hook however for me has been dire this season particularly at Armadale, just seems to have gone backwards this season, and that's riding at what should be the slighty easier number 7 position! The big question however is who the hell is out there that could come in and make any difference? -

I don't 100% but I would almost guarantee he has bikes that he only uses over here. He certainly has different covers on the ones you see him using in meetings abroad. -

Pretty sure Paco doesn't trek bikes backwards and forwards between Italy and here every other week! He'll have bikes that he only uses here. Doesn't really answer the question of why he he couldn't of ridden tonight. -

I think that was the point I was kind of trying to make, the twitter fallout is making the move seem a lot worse than it actually was! -

The tweet doesn't actually say he purposely went to knock Basso off, he says he gave him some hard riding back after he had dished it out to himself. If you actually watch the video slowed down Craig was committed to that inside line, Basso was mid track and locks up a little moving back towards Craig where they unfortunately meet, it was still the correct decision to exclude Craig but I don't think it was as deliberate as people are making out. -

I've now watched it in landscape and yes that is clear, doesn't show the incident going into bend 3 though which is what I think caused the red mist to come over Craig.
