  1. Every effort must be made to sort something out, when you look at the Morgan Sindall web site you can see why they dont responde the site looks prime for what they do but does anyone know if it would be possible to get planning permission to build on this piece of land, it was designated for sport and recreation as someone pointed out in an earlier post so has anyone contacted the council to get their take on things. We cannot let Weymouth die again great track and whe prepared properly great racing but as said by others all it takes is one bad promoter to screw things up and Weymouth arnt the first and wont be the last who have been screwed by a promoter.
  2. Just have to ask if anyone knows who this is, having checked various sites the only rider I can find is Danish and was born in Oct 1994 so the question is how is he eligiable for NL on a 3 point average as I thought overseas riders were not permitted or does he have dual nationality
  3. It would appear that Newport feel that they can use guests at any number, taken from the BSPA site this morning NEWPORT: HORNETS V KING'S LYNN (KOC) - PREVIEW Thursday October 07, 2010 The Newport Hornets take on the Kings Lynn Young Stars in the second leg of the National League's Knock Out Cup Semi-Final at Queensway Meadows on Sunday afternoon at 2.30pm. Newport will be without Kyle Newman who is on Premier League duty with Birmingham and so operate the rider replacement rule for him while Scunthorpe's Ashley Birks will guest for the injured Tim Webster. This does also clarify that Birks is still a Scunny rider and they no it, also not Aaron is still included.
  4. The rules clearly state that guest riders are only allowed to cover for the teams number 1 and that in the event that the declared number 8 is not available then a 3 point rider who is not in a declared 1 - 7 can be used, if Newport had redeclared their team to include Aaron then that would have been OK but they cannot use Birks as a guest for Kyle or Tim as neither are the top rider in the Newport averages and Birks is in the declared 1 -7 for Scunthorpe so if the rules are stuck to which lets face they seem to be very fluid, then the pionts from both rider or at least Birks will be removed.
  5. How can Newport have Ashley Birks as a guest its only allowed for the number 1 and Birks is still in the Scunny 1-7
  6. Who is Tom Armstrong? does he exist, have also heard rumours about him being Wildcats new signing and Newport press release shows him at number 2 for the meeting at Newport this weekend. Just being curious, Jon Armstrongs actual name is Thomas Jon Armstrong.
  7. I can tell you that number 8 for the Islanders will be Marc Andrews
  8. Its true on BSPA web site under National League press releases.
  9. This is not about Rye using another Aussie, itys about the fact that this Aussie is not eligable to ride at NL level for a number of reasons, these being 1 it would appear he does not have a work permit 2 he has signed for a PL team on a 5 point average which makes him ineligable to ride NL I like many other have nothing against young Aussies coming over, I do think that id they use partiality to get a low average then they should ride for GB but this is not the point here, Tyson is not eligable to ride NL so the rules have been broken and as such the meeting should be awarded to Scunny end of
  10. This whole thing makes the NDL look stupid, firstly as noted in this weeks star Nelson has signed for Sheffield on a 5 point average but cannot ride as he has not got his work permit, there are two things that come out of this, firstly taking into account what has happened with Charles Wright any rider with a starting PL average of over 4 cannot ride in the NDL, secondly if he has been given a 5 point average this means he does not have partiality and finally if Sheffield cannot use him as he has yet to have a work permit then I fail to see how the rules have been manipulated to allow him to ride in the NDL and to put him at reserve is taking the p**s he should have at least ridden on double his PL average which woulad have been 10 and again this would have made the team ineligable. If the league do not take away Nelson points and award the meeting to Scunny then I think the league will be classed as a joke, we cannot keep bending rules to suit and this has gone to far.
