If Gorzow speedway have a similar deal to Torun then probably too important for them too. Torun are meant to keep the ticket receipts for GP and town pays the licence fee so if the same in Gorzow the club would have done quite well on Saturday

When they first started to be used Nicki Pedersen used one, certainly in the pre season meeting at Poole, but then stopped. Greg Hancock also used temporarily after he crashed in Denmark a few years ago when Martin Vaculik ran into him but again didn't continue with it.

I am not sure that there are general problems with Polish speedway (admittedly GB speedway would be over the moon if had the same attendances) and the crowds at league matches seem to be not that healthly, according to a polish speedway magazine the rider salaries have dropped a lot from a few years ago in the extraliga, the attendances at Torun for the pairs and the SEC and also for the imme at Leszno have been poor as was the attandance at Gdansk on Saturday. Then there is Gdansk and Czestochowa "bankruptcy" and the continuing money issues at Bydgoszcz and Lublin I think these issues are behind some of the talk even though a new deal was struck regarding the TV coverage at a much higher price.

I would really like to see your programme from Cardiff because if you really did fill it in after the first turn there would be a lot of error compared to the finishing order. Thought they did an fantastic job again at Malilla to get the meeting on after the rain. That is the third time I have been there where it has rained heavily (2005, 2009 and this year) and each time they have sorted the track out to provide a good meeting. They also seem so well organised. Just a pity we are so far behind in that respect. The track was still very wet in places after removing the covers but they dealt with it quickly scraping off all the wet and laying a new surface. After the problems in the first and second bends in the first four races they worked extensively with more equipment during the 1st grading break which sorted the issues for later on. Anyway sunny back home at the moment as after Friday and the last two days in Sweden is the first time I have seen it.

Agreed. Not the first time that things have got out of hand in ZG as a there was an incident after one of the finals a few years ago. Unlike UK and Sweden away supporters in Poland seem to be caged in to a section. I go a lot to rugby and everyone mingles there so segregation does seem odd and unfortunate

Emil also won the u21 twice and if not being in the GPs could have won it 4 times. Saw him win u21 in Pardubice with 14 points only losing to Troy in his first race. Holder was 2nd and Pavlic 3rd

Though gate advantages are annoying to say the least it is not just on temporary tracks. Lonigo in the past have been just as much to the inside. Sec in Germany last year was a big advantage to the outside and this year's pairs the gates didn't go up even all meeting. Been to a few league meetings in Poland with hardly any overtaking, maostly at Wroclaw, and Grudziadz the other week had no passing at all.
