  1. The 2 incidents are not similar. Boycey had been fenced by Gollob who had got himself a reputation that year of being a bit of a dirty rider. I saw Boyceys reaction as heat of the moment after picking himself up from being knocked off in horrendous weather conditions. From what i read, (no I wasnt there), Lambert did not appear to be the direct cause of the crash, and Bridger wasn't even riding. Totally different situations, but still not condoning Boyceys actions. Hope Lewis is OK.
  2. In heat one of this meeting Laguta pulled exactly same move on Miedzinski at end of first lap... All the same, get well soon Emil
  3. I'd not seen anything about this so was surprised. Even the scorechart I downloaded off here (which is excellent BTW) had a reminder about double points for the final. I think it should be doiuble points, for the final.
  4. Didn't mention them Derek as they have nothing to do with the point I was making...Alls I was saying was being signed by Stoke, or for any team for that matter, doesn't mean you are 'up to it'. Anyways, how many of the riders you mention were signed by the current promotion at Stoke, and how many of them were starting out in their careers and needed to prove they were 'up to it'?
  5. Take a look at the press release on Stoke website for the 11th January. What conclusions were people supposed to 'jump to'? With your attitude, you and Stoke speedway should go well together...Good luck for the season... BTW, being picked for a team spot by Stoke doesn't mean you are up to it. Look at the illustrious names down the years...Frank Facher, Jerry Thelaus, Klaus Jacobsen...etc etc
  6. Yes, you would think so wouldn't you? However, there are numerous folk down at Loomer who have offered help and advice down the years, myself included, to have it thrown back in our faces. Just another example of how they have alienated the ever decreasing core of Stoke supporters. It's very sad what has happened to that place, take a look at recent video footage of stock car meeting there on youtube and see what has become of the place...
  7. With the excellent facilities and superb track preparation, can only see that being a raging success...
  8. Hes quit speedway, to concentrate on motox. Probably seen the state of the loomer road track and thought he'd may as well do motox! No! Rob Grant is looking for a team place...
  9. If thats the case its a wonder anyone would sign for Stoke! I can imagine my boss telling me I could only have my december pay check if i turn up at the xmas party!
  10. Correct decision by the ref, as soon as it happened i said it would be all 4 back. If it had been any other 2 riders ivvolved from the GP, we wouldn't be having this debate.
  11. Cos some people find it fun, I for one love living in a wet field, and crapping in a bucket!! Less chance of bumping into snobs as well!
  12. And so sane adults will pay well over the odds for hotel / rubbishty BnB, hmm, makes sense. And i got it wrong, 10 quid per person, per night. Regards, Mick, your local friendly, bucket crapping tramp xx
  13. Try camping at Lavernock point, 30 minute bus ride to stadium, costs 20 quid per night, per person
  14. Nice article, well written IMO. Tough one to call this season, I'll go for AJ to win it, if he can carry on his form from the end of last year
  15. Torun is lovely city and great speedway, but not sure there would be much to do for youngsters
  16. Not the worst wildcard pick ever. How many times have we had to endure Carpanese in the Italian GP? Would say Bunyan is a better rider than him.
  17. Lambert injured in PL match at Plymouth, Isherwood injured when he had ef coming out of 2nd bend and Mildy reserve behind him had nowhere to go but into his arse end. So not sure what you getting at there mate...
  18. Maybe they could combine it with the 'fans forum' that was going to be held at the beginning of this season??...
  19. Don't you believe it mate. Have witnessed plenty of incidents from a certain few Stoke supporters in the past with opposing fans. I've also seen opposing riders gesturing towards the fans at Loomer, but cannot recall the Stoke fans trying to attack the rider because of it. As i heard it, the Tigers fans were cheering while the Stoke riders were on the deck and not when they had got up, thats why Lambert gestured to the fans, however I wasn't there, so definilty not saying that the case. If Lambert did stick the fingers up when fans clapped when he got up, then thats pretty stupid, but is it worth ripping a fence down to get to him?
  20. Best post on this thread yet...wasn't there on Sunday but hopefully will make both matches this weekend
  21. Anyone know why tennis is being shown on SS4 instead of the repeat of the GP?
  22. 15 divided by 4 = nothing...weird maths We have been charged upwards of 25 quid for a taxi from the site, and then 25 quid back again. Using the bus is easy, drops you off and picks up very near the stadium.
  23. Not sure if its the same camp site that you are after, but we stay at Lavernock, search for Marconi on google and you should find it. Transport in from the camp site is a lot more than 6 squid though. You can walk down to the bus stop, and its then just a few quid return on the bus though! See ya there next year!
