Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April
horneymikh replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So the result stands? Will there be any refunds for the fans that were short changed tonight that went? Janowski must be hacked off that his first race wasn't pulled back. Very sorry start to the GP series -
Think it would take more than a move to the premier league to get the fans going back...
-

At the point of contact Nicki was ahead and not moving out, Kt hit Nicki, just seems that the rider on the inside will always get the rough deal, or if your name is Nicki... -

Well done Greg!! Harsh exclusion for Nicki I thought -
'couple of drinks' my arse! To still be over the limit when he was tested he either must have had a good few the night before or had a couple only a relatively short while before he was tested. Those saying that speedway needs this tool? Well if thats the case the sport is dead in the water already

Can't say the promotion have ever given a stuff about the fans, the way that lot have let Stoke decline is terrible. Just been to the 4's at Peterborough today and watched a great team performance from Somerset, with great vocal supporters. Relatively speaking, compared with Stoke, somerset are fairly new to league speedway, but to see their set up now, hosting big meetings like the pairs and with lots of silverware, got to make you wonder why Stoke couldn't have done better, particularly with the core set of supporters it had! Shame!

Urgent Postponement Stoke V Buxton 13/04/14

I see there are 2 further stock car / banger race meetings at stoke this month and then more after this thru the year. Will these be cancelled to help get the track right for speedway? Can the track repairs take place with the car racing ongoing? -
New Zealand Gp.
horneymikh replied to STARRGAZER1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This probably wouldnt be being discussed if it involved any other rider other than Ward or Holder. How many times have we seen racing incidets like these before? Smoli was rightly excluded, that should be an end to it, as there was no intent or malice. -

If that is the case he may want to look at his own ability to control a bike being as he ended up in the fence twice in a previous race. That said, I hope he recovers soon and is back racing, he just needs to quit whining and realise these incidences happen, particularly when tracks rut up. -

Well done Smoli, great win from the underdog and looks like an interesting character who might bring a bit of fun to the GPs Ward blithering on about yellow cards for that crash...tool! -
Why not? Your post is bang on!

Looks like Chip boys back as well

I'd start going again if it was that team...

Air Fence Safety Performance - Research?
horneymikh replied to Elephantman's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I agree with this, March this year I had a freak accident on my mountain bike where the pedal snapped at high speed. Result was me smashing the back of my head into the concrete, i'm sure i'd either be dead or seriously injured without the helmet.
