  1. They just have to look at the final elite league table.
  2. You heard something mate? Or just ultra confident?
  3. Just trying to have a positive outlook buddy, I to am interested in who it is but chances are will never guess. 5 parties apparently so could be people who have been in Speedway but could also be businesses, which ultimately is what Frost and Mahoney are.
  4. Thanks Hans fan, not used to Premier League don't really know much about it.
  5. Good some positive news. Hope if there is a deal there that it is December or early Jan. Think there would be quite a few top end premier league and mid/lower end Elite League riders that would ride for us. Kosciuch, North and L.Bjerre would not be a bad start if possible. I do not know how you convert an Elite League average into a Premier League 1 though. Say for example Kosciuch finished with 5.06 how would you convert that?
  6. Well Brummy fans hope you fair better than the team I support.
  7. This is a good point IMO... The only statement so far published in the ET was from Julie, hopefully we will also get 1 at some point from Rick.
  8. Posh Panther, I hope your source is correct, as this is promising compared to last 24hrs. I am not sure what to think, I am just not going to criticise a guy who has put endless £ into the club without knowing the facts. Just like 2010 and I do not direct this point at you but many poster's slated Pboro and who knew the facts. All we heard before the AGM was big changes, more teams etc We have the same teams in league, may have lost 1 for good and the change was a poor 1.
  9. Did not say chuck Leicester out, said take the Premier League spot they vacated. Spending a lot of extra petrol £ on a team that you do not even support? I cannot answer for all Panthers fans but I do not have money to burn.....
  10. There is that, so in theory any potential resurrection would mean taking Leicester's Premier League Spot?
  11. The press release from the AGM just made it sound as though that was not an option but I see your point. Also if say the current 10 teams start filling their 1-5 positions before any potential new owner is found then the options left for rider's 1-5 for a Peterborough team would be sparse.
  12. Agreed, surely all 'Speedway' fans would want a new owner for Panthers and entry into the Premier League otherwise the sport that seems to be slowly dying in the UK takes a step closer.
  13. Tend to agree with Crump 99, the fixture list has caused issues the last 5 or 6 seasons. Speedway fans still have a life and other commitments, it is hard when you get Monday then a Friday then a Wednesday then a Thursday etc. Thing is even if they had dropped down that would not solve the fixture list. It must be that Frost was not happy with points limit....
  14. Ahh yes good point... Think my mind is taken up by having no club now. Maybe not Bjerre then.
  15. The harsh reality is these days with the financial climate even people with plenty of £ will only put money into a sure thing and Speedway is not unfortunately. I see the same faces when I get to meetings which shows there are diehards out there just not enough. Our crowd levels are more towards Premier League anyway, not saying I would have asked for a drop but can anyone hand on heart say Frost/Mahoney should have taken the plunge with the risk they would lose more than £100,000. So as for the Panthers assets are they free agents? Or they still require a loan fee?
  16. True, makes you think even if somebody does show an interest it will not be until 2015 season.
  17. Quote from Harkess on BSPA website - “All is not lost as there is an opportunity for new owners to consider purchasing Peterborough, and we have left the door ajar for the club to participate in British Speedway. So does this mean if by sheer luck a new owner came forward then Premier League?
  18. Well as a gutted panther's fan then maybe you will sign Kenneth Bjerre, he likes Eastbourne's track and with no Peterborough he is available.
  19. Gutted to say the least. Maybe it was the increase in fixtures? Frost and Mahoney were losing £100,000 at 28 meetings.
  20. Quite looking forward to see how well Hougaard does especially as he thinks he can put 2 points on his average and J.S is talking him up. Think North could be a trump card aswell.
  21. So 5.64 left if it is Hougaard as on the rumour mill then Panthers will have 0.66 unused.
  22. Bjerre a Panther, well what a surprise signing , do not think anyone could have predicted it........
  23. Great news think North can improve his average by quite a bit.
  24. So no Lawson either now. Hougaard still a maybe as not announced elsewhere, my guess on Kus was just that a flukey guess could be right.
