Also to be honest as a fan my annoyance is how things were dealt with and thereafter communicated, whose fault it was does not make anything any better. This season fans want to see a competitive side and ideally some news sooner to get some hope and to be able to try and generate more fans. The big wigs in Speedway say the right things but rarely deliver IMO Certainly in and around Peterborough I do not see much promotion of Speedway. There are so many people who do not even know we have a Speedway team and we’ve had 1 for years and years.

It’s all rumour mill, the only person who seems to possibly know something is Flappy, and I say that as he’s referenced issues with Tungate a few times now. Harris was named dropped by a few early on and last few days it’s been Bech. Who knows... Whoever made the call to wait till 13th to name first rider has slipped up IMO. The club needs more fans and the existing fans need a lift and other teams flying ahead and we are lagging behind. Last pre-season there was a suggestion Chapman was the reason behind both The Stars and Panthers naming teams late but Kings Lynn have named 2 and have over a week before the 13th to name more.

First signing not till 13th so doubt you will hear much till then. I expect Hans, BWD or Ostergaard but would be nice if they started with a new name on the team sheet

You would have a tiny bit more to play with as Harris is 6.00 due to British reduction and pretty sure Ostergaard is 4.00.

Well if this is true I make it 4.00, 5.79, 5.47 and 6.00 = 21.26 so for the 3 remaining there is 21.24 left to play with. OK so I hadn’t seen the post from Flappy, so I know this was already mentioned.

Fair point, I guess I really meant 1 rider 7+ then a bunch of 2nd string but my wording was not clear. I returned to the EOES this season after a few years not going and only checking results online. There are many riders who love the EOES Track but in 2019 not many of them were riding for Peterborough. Ryan Douglas looked like a heat leader for Wolves and he was at reserve. Also Danny King broke the track record I believe.

Like people have been saying not much about in terms of heat leaders, I name dropped some but they have been signed up. I am not going to spend anymore time guessing. Just hope if there is only to be 1 out and out heat leader that there is plenty of strength in depth in the side. With the new boys Sheffield being up had planned to go to 1 of those at home, for sure will now with Nicki P and J Holder in the side.

Would be a massive shock for sure, Hans himself said he contacted Peterborough once he knew they were back in the Prem. I think it’s as simple as if Panthers want him then he would stay and on that average why wouldn’t they.

My team predictions are just that 100% predictions, I am not in the know at all but there seem to be some fans for most teams who here information about certain riders such as Wright to BV, Klindt to Ipswich, Harris to Peterborough to name a few. I know Kings Lynn fans in the past have suggested that Chapman can be late with team declarations, so we might have a long wait yet. Half team I think you can guess but the heat leader roles are a big concern unless Panthers pull out some surprises. I have also based previous guesses on those riders that might be free due to the likes Poole not being in the league or a Swindon who have to drop riders.

Well according to some Harris is signing. For all we know there could be 3/4 signed and just not announced. If the club want to keep Hans, BWD and Ostergaard I would imagine those would be easy deals to do.

I was originally as yes he was 100% a rider we should keep, cannot understand anyone who would not want to keep him, but it seems he’s Manchester bound. Panthers normally lose at least 1 rider they want to keep, but that said there have been many winters that Panthers future being up in the air has caused that. I love watching great racing at the EOES but so much about the sport baffles me. Harris is apparently nailed on, and surprised he’d sign after last winter.

So swap Tungate and Summers for Harris 6.00 and Jorgensen 5.90 and that’s 42.4

If they want to appease fans then announce a fresh name, ideally a heat leader. With last seasons results you want and need 2/3 fresh faces. After that announce Anderson, BWD etc.

Really hope a competitive side is put out, if Panthers don’t make playoffs then so be it but this past season struggling big time at home isn’t really entertaining. Losing Wright would be a big shame IMO so has to be replaced adequately. The team finished on an average of about 37 I think, so it also needs big improvement that was before losing Wright. Harris might not want to join after what happened this season. Things should start moving from next week.
