  1. Dont kid yerselves people we have 2 chances of winning the SWC slim and none and slim just left town!!! Middlo is another SGE. Good at club level but cannot produce the goods at International level. This will be his 6th crack at the SWC and we wont beat the Danes, Poles or Swedes no chance. He doesnt pick riders in form look at Chris Louis he has beaten Crump at Belle Vue Andersen at Peterborough and Nikki Ped at Arlington in the last few weeks 3 world class riders. He has got a lot of experience of Polish tracks due to his GP appearances and regular Polish league racing in the 90s. Sorry people but with Middlo in charge we aint got a hope in hell of winning the SWC it will turn out just like the football world cup full of false hope.
  2. Lee just looked too slow tonight I know last season he had trouble with engines when his engine tuner was ill but this season he said he had changed his set up engine wise and had more bikes at his disposal. Who does his motors now anyone know?
  3. Sad to see Lee Richardson struggling so bad tonight who tunes his engines these days? Hopefully he will turn things around and put up a decent effort at the Cardiff GP like last year. I may back him e/w.
  4. Come on fellow forum gamblers lets make some money off them bookies. I reckon Ricko at 11/4 is a great price he cant have another bad gp again so I will be putting some hard earned bunce on him with Leigh Adams a nice e/w price @ 12-1.
  5. Was Floppy making his debut for Torun today? If so how did he get on? Thanks.
  6. Some good pictures there Mr Hone. Whats happened to yer barnet I remember the fantastic mullett you had on the 2nd bend at Plough Lane and I dont mean Dave Why so many pictures of Mike Bennett?
  7. How did it go last night then Shazz? Which ex riders were there apart from Stevie Hone? I hope someone took some pictures of you in your glad rags
  8. That would have been the old Shawfield Stadium Kev when good old Neil McFarlane was promoter.
  9. Lunchy Was Mr Williams doing any announcing at the meeting tonight? VV
  10. 2 more yanks who came over to these shores and did nothing Donny Odom and Doug Nicol better known as Captain Zero and Uncle Doug both rode for Boro in 92 I think.
  11. Just been looking at an old Hackney programme from 1986 and wondered what Richard Pettman was up to these days? I saw him at Arena few years ago with Andy Galvin and Rob Tilbury. Shazzy do you know?
  12. I was looking at the excellent Seven Men for One Season book again the other day and was wondering what happened to Mike former Hackney, Ipswich and Kings Lynn promoter. Anyone know? Wonder if we will see him pop up as a promoter at a new track in the future.
  13. Was watching a video the other day of the British Under 21 Final at Wimbledon in 1990. Screeny won the meeting with Loramski 2nd and Loobie 3rd but former Wimbledon favourite Nathan Simpson finished 4th. What is he up to these days? I think the last time he rode over here was for Eastbourne in 1992.
  14. Shazza Have you got a spoon to eat that large slice of humble pie later. You were moaning earlier that Richardson should not be in the team and that Floppy should be. Lee is currently unbeaten. Jog on darlin Lots of Love xxx VV
  15. I think the Danes will sneak home on Sunday. Nikki P Bjarne P and Andersen with home man Gjedde will be too strong for our boys unfortunately. Nicholls and Richardson will put up a strong performance but Loramski aint back to his best yet and may not be fully fit after crashing in Poland on Sunday and has pulled out of the Swedish League tonight. Bomber and Screeny may struggle in this company. Anyone know what odds the bookies are offering for sunday?
  16. Any one know what Rob Ledwith is up to these days? He was a good little rider on his day his finest moment was beating the Master of Arlington Mr Dugard in his own back yard. Would do a good job in the Conference League I reckon.
  17. So Jason Bunyan is whiter than white then is he Michael? Stuffed Danny Bird at Reading then has the same done to him a few weeks later thats the way it goes my friend. Jason Bunyan isnt fit to lace Andy Galvins boots as a rider. Andy averaged 10pts a meeting in the equivalent of todays PL for 3 seasons on the trot. Jason wouldnt have a chance of doing that in todays PL pigs might fly!!!
  18. Dons fans from the era you used to go to Plough Lane on a regular basis what would your Dons Dream Team look like? I used to go every week in the 80s and the 90 and 91 season before they moved to Eastbourne that year so mine would look like. 1. Jessup 2 Simmo 3 Ferreira 4 Roger Johns 5 Jamie Luckhurst 6 Todd Wiltshire 7 Ray Morton Team Manager Russell Lanning.
  19. Brian I understand Re-Run productions should still have some copies of Andys story give them a bell. Hackney were in the BL in 87 Steve quite right I remember you riding second halves at Plough Lane were you up against Jay Pleece and Phil Vance people like that? I reckon you could do a job for Sittingbourne what Grading would you be these days?
  20. How did you get near him in the first place Honey you were a No 7 and he was a 10pt man in the NL!!
  21. Bob I am very sorry mate I was halfway to Arlington last night when I got a text saying I had left the tape at home. It completely slipped my mind sorry. I may be at Eastbourne in a couple of weeks when Cov are the visitors do you still want the video? Apologies again VV
  22. Bunyan Get yer facts right. Andy Galvin didnt ride into anyone that night. He passed Richard Knight on the outside on the home straight they locked handlebars and Andy smashed into the fence on the first bend. This was way before air fences were introduced in case you didnt know.
  23. Bob As you are more of a regular at Arlington than myself tell me where you stand what you look like and I will see you on Sat with the Cardiff GP vid. VV
  24. Mr Peasley Greg Hancock although one of the nicest guys in the sport isnt whiter than white he would have been given a yellow card for stuffing Crumpy leaving him nowhere to go in their heat. Hancock should have been excluded you know it and more importantly he knows it. It is unfortunate he has a broken wrist but if you dish it out youself you have to be prepared to take it aswell. Good Luck with your Weymouth friends I agree the track is a disgrace V Vega esq
  25. Brighton Bob I taped the repeat of the meeting that was shown this morning. Will you be at Eastbourne on saturday when the Hammers are there if so I will meet up with you and you can watch my copy. Let me know. VV
