you'd change race night for one rider that would only be on loan?

Speedway World Cup
aj. replied to vicki andersen's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
in general it's not really a track that poles seem to excell at really,it seems to be a bit of a myth that as it's big and fast they will love it,granted one or two of them do ride it well, but on the other hand aussies do seem to ride the track very well and they always have done, all the aussies riding in the uk at the minute seem to always be some of the best visiting riders over the last few years.Crump and sully will be almost unbeatable, chris holder is awesome here, rory schlien is a rider many fans wanted in the team this year due to his performances there and well leigh adams is leigh adams-doenst matter where he rides really, for britain scott and bomber are pretty good at the eoes, danny king can be quite good, tai woffinden can ride it but doesn't like the track, ted kennet has always been awfull there but did well last year so hopefully that can continue, lee richardson is very hit and miss around there so to me it looks like a bad move and can only see a big win for australia,we SHOULD be able to beat poland but that will tough -
i was hoping he would get his chance but didn't wanna wish a rider injured to get it,in an interview in the peterborough evening telegraph today kenny said "my only chance is if another rider crashes badly in practise or in their first ride in the actual meeting" guess he didn't look at all the options
-
well i'm absolutely delighted for kenny a big shame for davey though
-
getting there a week early then

good to see kenneth bjerre not fixed up with a team yet after his problems at piraterna last season,i hope he gives sweden a miss next year as his form for panthers really took off when he left piraterna -

i must keep up but the last thing the gp needs are more man made tracks,so thats 4 next year-wonder if img regret the decision after last nights rubbish -

actually it's my dads birthday today -
did any body else notice gregs rear frame tonight,it looked comleatly different to the normal straight leg and looped rear frames, could that be why greg had an improved performance tonight?
-
which is roughly whay i said at the end of the post,i would much rather see bjerre get the wild card than nicholls or stead just because they are english
-
puk is a much more consistent rider now than when he was in the gp's so he should be able to challenge for a top 8 place, lukas would be awesome if he can get his gating sorted- he will certainly entertain and bjarne will do the same as ever(just enough to please his sponsers)
-
yeah must admit i'd prefer a peterborough 123 but no i have to agree 5 danes in the gp would be to much but are ther any other riders better that deserve a place,it should be on ability not nationality cos to be honest if someone like stead got a wild card to even the nationalitys out that really wouldn't be fair at all
-
seems bjerre was unlucky not to qualify, anyone know what his exclusion was for as my polish is pretty rubbish,he would've qualified if not for that but poster above is right about him not getting a wild card even though he probably deserves it
-
buy the book and read it,i've just finished and have to say it's a great book,i was only 3 when kenny commited his crimes but i've always been interested in the rider part of kenny and this book goes to great lengths to try to piece together the demons in his mind and what made him tick although it seems thats an impossible task to do a great but sometimes disturbing read

Guy Gets Thrown Out Of The Stadium
aj. replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
half way through the meeting a polish fan drapped in a flag went for a jog around the front row of seats on the bottom tier waving his flag around,he just seemed to be having a laugh and everyone laughed at him so no harm done,he got about half way round to the tunnel when he could go no further so he sat down then the stewards had a go at him then 5 minutes laterhe was being dragged out by a steward and 2 police officers now that seems a bit harsh considering he was just having a bit of fun and certainly causing no harm -
Collectors & Souvenir Fayre

we went and had a look round, quite a lot of stuff,i bought the new kenny carter biography-a good read so far -
we were sitting on the 3rd/4th bends lower tier, right near the front with a few other panthers fans, behind a group of poole fans that contained one crazy mad jason crump fan roughly where we sat last year, tbh they are very good seats in the lower tier cos you still get the shale shower that we love so much
-
sky sports news had a bit more than the usual text along the bottom this time which surprised me,there was a few different bit's of coverage, one of bombers win and another showing what scottys pit crew do before the meeting-and i can confirm that the words "we hit the bar" were used

i thought last year you only got a free program if you ordered before a certain date?
