  1. It appears you joined the forum on my 46th birthday.

    Regards Martin

  2. Now it's been moved to Sat 25th according to it's own thread, so I guess that leave us with a 7pm start today for the play-off, is that right?
  3. No way are they gonna get back out on that. I'm off to watch some telly
  4. Get the jet skis out time, the track is under water.
  5. Hmmm, looks like I got that up around my ears then, sorry about that, guessing not so good there!!
  6. That is showing the same sports clips show I had elsewhere at the moment
  7. I don't do Polish but I got th impression that 20:45 was on the screen at one time, could be that it is on then, that would be 19:45 here. That's if I am making the correct assumption from what I saw
  8. Thanks for that, I too had wondered about the amount of "slag" in Polish speedway
  9. What a pathetic thread, do we get a new one every time there is a crash in a speedway meeting anywhere, or just when it is a chance to take a pop at Scott Nicholls. Did anyone see the state of Sheilds' bike after THJ had finished with it in the first running? There were more spokes missing than were left. No-one started a thread about that did they!! Edit; - this really should not be in the Elite league section should it, it was in Sweden.
  10. The problem with refering back to past times is that speedway crowds were much bigger all around in the 1970s/early 80s, when Wembley was attracting 84,000, Brandon was getting 7,000 for a league meeting and the British Final used to fill the place. There is no real evidence to support the theory that Wembley or the Olympic Stadium would attract a bigger crowd than Cardiff in modern times. Also the lack of a roof on either of these venues is a massive downer, as anyone watching the World Cup on Saturday night will know, imagine going to the expense of installing a temporary track and then getting a wet weekend, the financial losses would be massive ! Regards Martin
  11. There are certainly a bunch of south African born players in the England set up, Pietersen and Trott for a start, there have also been foriegn born players in our rugby Union and Rugby League teams
  12. So according to that site, AJ definitely rides for the Swedes. That should make them a completely different proposition, unless he is in his Cardiff form.
  13. You miss my point, I never said anything about the people of East London did I, I'm sure that most are as you say 'salt of the earth'. It is simply not somewhere I want to spend a weekend, I personally do not particularly enjoy London at all, too busy, too much hustle, I prefer Cardiff, the place is just more laid back. And no I have not visited Canary Warf, and I will not be visiting it in the future either, why would I.
  14. They can stick a GP in it if they want, but I'm bloody sure I wouldn't be going. Cardiff is perfect, all the City is available to visitors right next to the Stadium, who the hell would want to spend a day in the east end of London!?!
  15. Last year there was a large parking area in the park near the stadium, by the cricket ground, it's also where they park the coaches, I don't know what the cost is, or whether there is a charge at all. I actually parked in a multi storey 15 mins walk from the stadium, there was plenty of room in there and it cost me about £7 for the day if I remember right, I'm sorry I cant remember the name of the road it wis in. Have a look on here http://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/info/parking_in_cardiff/299/
  16. The big question is, who is looking after Gemini's dogs while she is on massage duty??
  17. I was just wondering if you were the same Shazzybird as the one who crops up on my facebook sometimes bantering with Sandie?

    1. shazzybird

      shazzybird

Just seen this shows how long I've not been here lol yep that'd be me Sandie is one of my best friends in speedwa xx

  18. Which will include all the cheap poundland etc ones, I have been using them for a year and they are definitely the inflammable type, those who have stocked up with them best save them for league speedway in out door venues. It is actually pretty obvious why it is not a good ideea to fill an indoor stadium with flammable gas when you think about it!! Personally I am working on mark two of my cordless drill powered air horns. This one is the vintage model T ford type 'ahooogaa' sound, should be pretty good I reckon
  19. OK I did a little more poking about the FIM site and found all the line-up stuff in Official Documents/Press Releases section. Silly me, before that I was looking in the grand prix qualifiers section and expecting the line-ups to be there!
  20. How could he expect that no-one would notice? He must be a complete numpty to think other riders would not notice that his bike was louder. His qualification should be cancelled and every one else moved up a place if this is all true. He may have been prevented from using the doctored silencer in the meeting but the intent seems pretty clear. Blatant cheating if this is all true, absolutely disgraceful behaviour!
