New Track In Croatia ...
tarabanko replied to TwoMinuteWarning's topic in International World of Speedway
Really good to see a new track. All luck to the croatians! Cheers / Mikael -
Is there any pics from this old World Final arena?

Congrats to Swedens Sebastian Alden! Tommorow he is in Eskilstuna with his team Masarna.
-
Heard that Jonas Raun crashed and hurt his ribs. Jonas who was so good looking on a 80 cc bike, hope he will just turn it over to the 500cc bike.
-
If I remember correctly so did the late Simon Wigg and Kai Niemi open a resturant in England and rumors has sad that it not went so good and Kai was owing money. He was in trouble and left Uk.
-
Marko Kunelius is living here in Eskilstuna. Hes also got a son, Simon who is about 14-15 years of age. Simon had a drabble on 80cc but has not been seen on a bike for over a year now. Smederna which is my local team got both Marko Kunelius and Olli Tyrväinen riding in the same team for many years. I think Olli joined Smederna in the late 80s and stayed with the club until 1997 or 1998. Kai Niemi was in the 80s riding for Örnarna and did very good!

Thanks for the photos ALL of you!

Sorry f-s-p it was the "wrong" Marko. Was it Jumisko? I dont recall his last name. Do you recall Marko Kunelius?
-
Thanks for the info! I will keep my eyes open on this lad! Cheers
-
There is this lad coming from? Speedway NEEDS new blood, new promising youngsters.

Stuart are doing his debut in the Elite League tommorow at Norrköping with his team Luxo Stars. Norrköping is the smallest track in the Swedish Elite League.
-
So Juha Moksunen is still around! I remembering him riding for Vikingarna from Örebro. He rode at Eskilstuna once and was so good. This was in the 80s. He later rode for Getingarna in the elite league but thas not that good, saw him in Karlstad in 1997-1998 riding for a swedish division 1 team, dont remember which team though. What are Markku Jurmu up to this days? He rode for Tuna Rebels from Eskilstuna and did good.

In todays AFTONBLADET it stands that Robert Kaspzak that was blamed that he kicked Rune Holta after Roberts big brother Krystof Kaspzak crashed heavily is now free to ride again. First they Unia Lezno banned Robert for 6 months now thats charge is gone but Robert has to pay £ 1318,20 GBP. Cheers Mikael

Grodzki Strikes Again
tarabanko replied to SCB's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The decision to exclude Holta was correct. Having watching the reply xxx of times. I was on the right side of the ref on tuesday. The incident between Rickardsson and Holta was hard. But to exclude Rickardsson? NO, YES if Hampel had fallen. I dont like Rickardsson, he is a 'holy cow' and are coming away with things that others arent. But you cant take away his world championships. -
Really looking forward to tonights race off, just a shame that it goes at a big track. I wish it had gone on a smaller , tighter track. The speedway can be a real bore on a long track as Wroclaw. I cannot predict the outcome of tonights meeting, it will be bloody hard, even tighter than the meeting at Eskilstuna.

World Cup Programme
tarabanko replied to GMILLS's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The SWC program cost £6 or 80 Swedish Crownes and it was covering the meetings at Swindon and Eskilstuna. The programme was printed sometime before as Mikael Max was in the meeting in the program. Good interview with PK was it in the prog! -

Tomasz Gollob And The Non-blood Pole
tarabanko replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
On the paper the Polish team looks really good. But has seen PePe at Eskilstuna before and he has been lousy can he be the weak link for poland? I think so. Hampel loves the Eskilstuna circuit, he hasnt lost many points in 3 meetings there. I predict Sweden will win but just narrow before Poland who will be racing in the race off with Australia on thursday with the Danes and Chezchs. If Poland wins tommorow there will be less people on thursdays race off. Up the Swedes! ---=Iam the official timekeeper tommorow in Eskilstuna=--- -
