Big Meeting At Poole
hyderd replied to Saint Rob's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Its a sign of the times i think,it saves the promotion having to employ staff to sell tickets for a one off meeting and fans can but tickets 24/7, unfortunately it comes with a price as all company's need to make profits to stay in bussiness. -

Big Meeting At Poole
hyderd replied to Saint Rob's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Well i wish all at Poole every success,it sounds like it should be a cracking meeting,my only gripe would be the time of year but i suppose with GP's and the WTC the Poole management did'nt have much choice. -
Elite League Best Pairs
hyderd replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
So do i,SCB is to quick to put B Vue down and very hypocritical in what he says. The comment he made about 2nd riders applies to every single pair, not just B Vue -

Elite League Best Pairs
hyderd replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Are you saying Gjedde is not cappable of keeping 2nd or 3rd with J Crump hopefully team riding with him, after all it is a pairs event . So lets agree to disagree, but dont forget to put that tenner safely away -
Elite League Best Pairs
hyderd replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Bo**ocks,to win you need to be able to finnish anywhere other than last, with the most important positions being 2nd and 3rd,B Vue have as good a chance as any other team,my favourites would be P/Bora,but it is wide open. -
Elite League Best Pairs
hyderd replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Fair enough AndyM,but as we all know in the best pairs coming 2nd and 3rd is more important than 1st and last, and IMO P/Bora have the ideal pairing to do just that, plus they are also Danes who can gate. -
Dont know if this thread is anywhere else,so if its not here goes. B Vue.....................J Crump/C Gjedde Coventry................C Harris/R Schlien. Eastbourne..............S Nichols/L Richardsen Ipswich...................C Louis/R Miskowiak Lakeside..................A Jonssen/A Shields P/Bora.....................H Anderssen/K Bjerre Poole.......................B Pederssen/D Watt Swindon...................L Adams/T Batchelor Wolverhampton.........F Lyngren/N.K.Iverssen Assuming all teams compete,my guess for the rostrum places would be. 1 P/Bora 2 B Vue 3 Poole

Big Meeting At Poole
hyderd replied to Saint Rob's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
On a negative,it could have something to do with SS,and his Poole coloured spectacles. On the possative, well done Poole promotion for stageging what could be the best nights speedway for many a year. On another negative, dicky time of the year to book and pay £45 plus travel, accomadation ect,for a meeting that has a better than good chance of being cancelled due to the weather. -
I'v said it earlier on this thread and i'll say it again,IMHO what we saw on Saturday was 2 guys battleing for 1 last place on a track where the only place you could pass was up the inside,Scotty did hit Bomber, but i dont think he did it intentionally,if Scotty just followed home Bomber, then what was the point of racing,so IMHO hard racing YES,dirty NO. The Ref was a disgrace all night,i lost count of the number of rolling starts that should of been restarted. So technically the Ref was not doing his job properly,so he is also to blame. So to wrap all this up lets just hope that Nichol's and A N Other are not in a last heat decider for the WTC,after all,we would'nt want Scotty to try to hard, would we

Final Gp, From Germany
hyderd replied to Steve Turner's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Everything was in place to make the 100th GP with all that dosh one to remember,....................................................................... ..............................................? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ..Total crap,i'd rather forget it. Make Cardiff next year the final GP. -
Speedway is a tough sport and any rider not prepared to rough it out will normally lose out,Scotty was tough on Bomber but NOT dirty(as some on here will have us believe) and if the Ref was doing his JOB properly,he would of excluded Scotty for unfair riding(not dirty),the man therefore to blame is the Ref.

You obviously have no idea what goes on at accidents especially serious ones, the M/Way would need to be closed whilst the AIP carry out there forensic work to determine the cause of the crash, speak to any present witnessess ect, ect, ect,as for fiddleling with thier plonkers,i'm affraid the only plonker is you,my friend.

World Final V Grand Prix
hyderd replied to longlivefrankie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
One off World Championship matches IMO were/are better because you had all the atmousphere for 1 match only and nobody knew who the winner would be untill, in most cases the winners last ride. -
Well done N Pedersen,a truely remarkable season from a truely remarkable rider.

Latvian Speedway Grand Prix 2007
hyderd replied to Ghostwalker's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
N Pedersen is having a V Good GP,but last night reminded me how two faced he is,in Malilia he(N Pedersen)threw his toys out of his pram when H Andersen rode him out to the fence, even though Hans did leave him JUST enough room. Last night he (N Pedersen) took L Adams out in the exact spot but left L Adams NO ROOM,Leigh delt with the matter on the track. -
Rosco Your Country Needs You.
hyderd replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So is he or is,nt he.lets look at the evidence,7 attemps no successes, including 3 on home soil (could you imagine for one moment the Poles, Danes or Swedes not winning in there own back yard). No TM could make the current crop of GB riders win the WTC,but to turn up as badly prepared as we were, well the TM has to take the blame there. Our riders were being beaten by riders who they ride against week in week out,but last night those same riders turned up with properly tuned bikes, did we?S Stead and E Kennett are not World Beaters but niether are K Bjerre,or puk but they had better/faster bikes. So who,s fault is it,well i,m sorry but after 7 years the buck has to stop at the manager. As to who should replace him, well thats up to the BSPA,but whoever it is he needs to have a good machanic who can make our bikes as fast as the others. -
Probably like the lottery, use different weighted balls
-
I think its something to do with the gate positions later in the meeting.
-
N P and H A can hold there own in any company the other 3 although good riders do rely on gating so if the track is grippy with different racing lines those 3 are likely to let Denmark down against the Aussies and Poland in there own back yard. Again if the track is grippy we (GB) wont win IMHO but we will be spoilers especially against the Danes 3 weaker riders

Race Off Leszno Poland Thursday 19 Juli
hyderd replied to tarabanko's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Deffo good meeting was this, take note Olsen, leave the bl**dy track prep to people who can do it. -
The only way Denmark will win,is if they play there 6th rider,Stand up "I want it slick so the best gaters (denmark) will win each race whilst the other proper speedway riders struggle to find grip" OLE OLSEN. On a slick track, sorry boring track. 1 Denmark 2 Poland. 3 Australia 4 G B On a track prepared like Thursday,s 1 Australia 2 Poland 3 Denmark 4 G B

British form says Poland and Australia, but do we know what the Ruskies are like in Poland?,maybe they will like the big open racetracks of Poland?,Sweden are suffering injury wise this year(its normaly us Brits)so i dont see them doing anything except making up the numbers. Lets just hope that Mr Olsen misses his plane so we can at least get a decent race track
