  1. If they had, some on here would of slagged them off.
  2. Excuse my ignorance, but why should a helmet colour make it a poor draw.
  3. Can you sing. Nichols is still the best GB rider followed by Harris, after those two we should deffo be bringing in fresh blood. For Thursday IMO we should go with 1 Scotty 2 Lewis 3 Eddie 4 Tai 5 Bomber Maybe Jim told the lads, regardless of your scores i must still use new riders, but the door remains open
  4. Whilst i agree in priciple Andy,in reality some riders like/prefer slicker tracks, whilst others(mainly Brits due to thier grass track roots) seem to ride better on grippy tracks with plenty of dirt, and as the meeting was in the UK,it would of been wise to keep Ole well away from the track and prepare it for a normal Coventry home meeting. It wont make any differance to the result on Thursday or(with a lot of luck) Saturday, but it would of entertained the thousands who turned up and paid good money to watch thier home nation stand a better chance of winning.
  5. I hope Tai does'nt read this post and decide to make your post come true,Tai is as English as you and i,he was just raised in Aus because his parents emigrated. In fact he is the very opposite of our very own J Crump and you would'nt call him English, would you!
  6. If it is,then he should have more respect for himself and fellow GB members than to get involved in a squable with the Mongolian anything to do with B Vue or GB that is Subedei.
  7. Pardon. There is in Manchester Very true AndyM,but not prepared like last night. One has to start somewhere, and where better than the best 17 yr old on the planet. it sadens me to say it,but i totally agree. Get real, even Piggot could,nt of won the Derby on a Donkey. See post 162 See above quote, you are both caught hook, line and sinker.
  8. There's only one reason Lynch struggled as team manager and that same reason will be there on Thursday,Team GB are not good enough, hopefully T Woffinden will give other young British riders the encouragement they need to do well and in a few years time we could be competing with the rest.
  9. There would be no point in playing the Joker then, its a rule that most Speedway fans dislike but it does help keep the scores close, and for nuetral fans and first time viewers it works, the fact we are discussing it confirms that.
  10. We can make any excuse we like, but the only team that could benifit from the Russion rider changes to heats 22/23 were the Poles
  11. Interesting points coming from both of us i feel, but alas i have to go to work now so will have to let this one go. Have a nice day.
  12. I dont claim your question but the question has to be asked, why did Gizatullin replace Sajfutdinov in heat 22 and vice versa in heat 23 when the only difference to the outcome of the match would/could be the top 2.Heat 23 was (on paper) easier than heat 22,and the result of heat 23 showed this to be the case.
  13. Team GB could qualify on Monday, but do you honestly think we would if the meeting was in Sweden/Denmark,home soil allways gives an advantage,i'm not advocating the Joker rule i dont like and never will, but the only way to find out who are the best team, is for nuetral tracks/country's to be used, and as i said earlier that will not happen because of the gate reciepts
  14. Do you think that all the TV audiance are as knowledgable as yourself,
  15. I take your point but if we do go down that road, then we also have to eliminate home advantage, last nights meeting should of been in a nuetral country,as does Monday's and that will have some impact on the gate reciepts.
  16. IMO its six of one and half a dozen of the other,if you are winning and lose out due to the Joker,it stinks, but without it we would'nt of had the exciting finish we had tonight.Maybe change it to,only a programmed rider can be used.
  17. Now that Patrick Hougaard is now an Ace,i wonder if he will be the one to replace the injured J Lyons.
  18. I kinda agree with SS that N Pedersen is the man to beat, but only a fool would discount any of the other big hitters after only 1 round. Jason and Leigh both had rounds they would prefer to forget, but to make the semi's on a bad night is not to bad.
  19. Clever you.i just turned the tv on and hey presto, there it was.
  20. I know this is the wrong place for this request but this computor lark is really doing my head in,i want to print of a copy of tonights racecard,i dont know how to download or where to find this racecard, can anyone help before i have a heart attack.
  21. They certainly have a good chance, all along i fancied the winner's would come from either,P/Bora, B Vue or Poole not to sure about Poole now as S Nichols and L Richardson have come flying out of the traps down old Eastie way.I think my final rostrum placing will be. The final between P/Bora and B Vue,with Eastie toping the 3rd plave run off.
  22. 1 N Pedersen.....i did originally go for Crumpy, but not after Sunday's result. 2 J Crump..... but only if he can get his gating back to where it was in 2006 3 A Jonsson... If he stays injury free. 4 L Adams.... Would love L Adams to do it,but i think its to late. 5 H Andersen... he has the talent, but not the staying power. 6 S Nichols....i think the move from Coventry will help him. 7 T Gollob....Could be his last year in the top 8. 8 B Pedersen....Its time Bjarne moved up a notch in the GP's 9 R Holta...... Fast when he is out front. 10 G Hancock.....He's past his best. 11 k kazprzak....Relies to much on gating 12 F Lindgren.....He's young and will get better. 13 N K Iverssen..Again the odd gate will save him from being bottom 14 C Harris.....Would love to put him higher, but he needs to gate more consistantly. 15 L Dyrml......Lucky to be in the GP'S.
