Surely this latest twist ONLY involves Coventry,P/Bora declared they did not want to compete in the 2011 EL (whatever the reason only R Frost and his Management team will know it)and riders from P/Bora signed for the newly promoted KL,to recall P/Bora now to the EL along with their KL signed riders will only widen relationships with other PL clubs and the joke that is currently called the Elite League. We are supposed to be a professional sport, its time 1 or 2 promoters realised this.

You have just gone on my Xmas card list.

Utd made an Operating profit of £100,000,000 last season and that shows that some sports ie football teams (as in your post)can and do make money, only a stupid debt by some American has put Utd from a very wealthy to a heavily debited club
-
Acctually Manchester United do make lots of money, over 100 Million last season but the debt the Glaziers brought with them wiped that and more out.

Who ever it is I wish Ippo and all their followers better success than of late.

Ipswich need the same as other struggling clubs (my own included)and that is investment, if the money was/is there to pay/attract the better riders then the fans will return. Interestingly Poole were at the lower end of the league in 2009 and there crowds also dwindled, so maybe the whole Elite league set up needs revamping in a way that encourages the GP stars to race over here but also rewards our home grown youth to help with there development.

Swc Final, Vojens, 31/07/2010
hyderd replied to Mateusz's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Team GB never stood any chance of winning but bronze was a relistic aim, having said that we still finnished where I expected them to finish. As for the future, well I dont see much of a future for Team GB unless the BSPA starts to put our home grown youngsters higher up on there list of priorities. There are some exciting young lads out there but they do need help. -
Whose Idea Was It To Use Kings Lynn ?!?
hyderd replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You have an oppinion Steve, and you are entitled to it. However I think you will find you are in a very small minority as most people (including the riders) think KL is an ideal place to hold such an event. -
Swc Final, Vojens, 31/07/2010
hyderd replied to Mateusz's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The race off was held on Thursday Night,Team GB and Poland practice there today,(according to Sky )that really only leaves what is left of today after practice and tomorrow to prepare the track. Then for the event itself the track will ride completely different than today's practice and maybe even Thursday nights meeting. Maybe the Poles will have more trouble with the track than people think,to much power = to much wheel spin on Ole's super slick tracks. I'm going for Sweden to win it with the Danes Second Poland third and Team GB not far of Poland. -

hyderd replied to Bagpuss's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
SS, you must be the most hypercritical poster this forum has ever had. You watch Poole week in and week out thrash other EL teams and yet have the nerve to call last nights meeting a snooze fest. Team GB may not win the SWC, but they did beat a good young Aussie side who were all KL track specialist, and if that does not get your heart beating with pride then I guess you don't have one, or maybe it is the fact that 3 of your beloved Poole team were on the losing side. -

That settles it then, lets get rid of all commentators and watch our sport in silence, that way all the sky commentator knockers will sleep better. -

Bighead, I assume you mean Bridger had nowt to do with it. C Harris locked up on to Bridger's back wheel, the only conclusion the ref should of made was to exclude Chris Harris as it was clearly past the 1st turn and although a racing incident, Chris was the primary cause of the stoppage.
