Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirates 29/4/2013
hyderd replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wake up, its happened plenty of times throughout the many years this sport has ran, B Vue's biggest problem was that they got caught because certain Poole riders posted incorrect photo.s on Twitter. Lets all see if it does indeed deter other promotions from calling off meeting that could and should of ran. -

B Vue have been found guilty of calling off a meeting that could and should of been ran. To impose a fine is the right thing to do as is done in other sports, but to deduct 3 pts and say that NO OTHER CLUB SHOULD BENEFIT is hypocritical as all other clubs will clearly benefit. So be warned as the next time a team ride with a rider who shouldn't of been in the side, not only will his points be taken off and the score readjusted, but 3 pts will also be deducted so as not to benefit other teams. Only in speedway. -

can't agree with this bit, had B Vue done the right thing and brought in Juniors then in all likelihood Poole would of won the meeting and collected all 4 points however as Engine failures, falls and other incidents can and sometimes do affect scores then to be fair to all other clubs the meeting should be rerun as a double header meeting and B Vue should have to field the 1st meeting without Zagar and Zetters, their places going to 2 juniors. The second match should be a full strength B Vue. The admission price should stay the same as on ordinary league meeting and of course any Poole fan from the called off meeting reimbursed, as a gesture of good will B Vue could offer reduced or zero admission prices for travelling Poole fans who would have to get their entrance tickets from their own Poole promotion before travelling. -
Tai's riding great and deserved his final in Poland and his semi last night, would love to know though why he looked so quick in all his heats at both tracks up to his final in Poland and his semi last night, where on both these occasions looked slow.

The picture that Holder posted was of the Start straight not the part that was allegedly flooded, so his picture has no baring on this topic. All these would be punishments will be voted for by the very same promoters who some have done dodgy things in the past, therefore will be voting for their own punishments in the future. Speedway needs an independent body and until it does these dodgy tricks or whatever we call them will carry on. Try looking harder. http://www.bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=903 -

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, B Vue have admitted to calling the meeting off when perhaps they could of got it on, nothing else. Lets see what the SCB uncover, if anything then as I said earlier if we cheated we need to man up and accept the consequences. -

Not me screamer, they have admitted a wrong doing and put the once good name of B Vue deeper into the mire, and as such will have to man up to the consequences. -

No idea, was there this much controvasty last season about K Lynn or Rye house last week, no thought not its just the usual B Vue knockers. If they have done wrong then the SCB should deal with it not a bunch of key board warriors out to kick a club that is down but trying to get up. -

But why didn't he show a photo of the part of the track that was causing the problem ie coming of 2nd bend on back straight. https://twitter.com/TheAces/status/328903152319467520/photo/1 -

I find it hard to believe that after all the time and money Gordon and Mort and now George Carswell have put into getting B Vue a new purpose built stadium, that they would pull a stupid stunt like is being suggested and put all that a risk just because 2 riders are stuck overseas. Having said that if it is shown they have cheated to get the match off the SCB should deal with it swiftly and severely including refunds to all fans who have valid receipts for monies spent. -

The only thing we know is that the track was under water at one point the rest is just speculation. Had B Vue ran the meeting and a rider hit that patch lifted and injured himself then the slagging would of been "B Vue should on called the meeting off when they discovered the burst water main". Lets all wait till the official SCB statement comes out, then make factual statement/comments. -
Wont work, try getting 500-1000 hard core fans into any of your suggestions, even if you space then out over a season still wont work, for me I would suggest an entrance fee of no more than £2 for all 5 to 15 year olds with parent or relative and proof of age and more to keep them interested during the heats. We could also try a lottery system, say £2 per ticket the winning ticket is drawn before heat 15 and the winner get free admission for the next home league meeting (inc P/Off) and half price for partner and children with a pre meeting pit walk and chat with team captain for the family.

I remember as I young boy my uncle Terry coming round to my house and telling my Mum that my favorite rider had been tragically killed in a racing incident, Peter Craven was that rider, strangely his initials represent my post 70's favorite rider. Peter Craven lives in my memory for ever.

Great photo, it saddens me to see a rider as smooth and fair as L Adams in a wheelchair, Leigh if you read this I wish you and your family well and prey you get out of that chair someday.

Wake up Steve, that would make 4.

“Please don't get me wrong, Eastbourne are a great club and over the years they have done a lot for me, the fans have been great, but at times I felt as I was not being pushed and therefore I needed a new challenge.” Bridgers words, not mine. Lewis to get where were we want to in this world, we have to push ourselves, you had the talent and promise as a 16 year old but let outside influences block your progress. Time to stand up and show British speedway and Lakeside you can be that rider.

so that makes 6-7 teams out of 10, so who do you think will be in the bottom 3 along with B Vue and Wolves.

here's hoping ESPN step in then, you get that Channel included in the Virgin XL subscription and don't need the other sports channels. -
I would love this to be true, but doubt very much that B Vue and Eastbourne will reach the P/O final.

The most used and often let down "word" in Speedway

That is so true, can still understand Poole fans not wanting to split up Holder and Ward.
