  1. Bit risky putting Darcy Ward in now that there are no reserves allowed to fall back on I have to agree with the Bold bit of the above post, and unless the SCB or BSPA or whoever don't get their heads out of their Ar**s, the EL will lose the likes of C Holder and D Ward also.
  2. Don't buy that excuse Snyper, if a rider is dedicated enough he/she will make it their business to achieve their potential, I just don't recon that British riders have the same dedication (at present) that other country's rides have.
  3. Team GB was representing Britain not England, when N Ireland, Scotland or Wales have rider/s good enough to represent Team GB they will be part of the squad. Whilst Team GB are a good way behind the likes of other European sides and now even the Russians we should still use the best riders available, and at present they are all English.
  4. count back seems a tad unfair to me,3 riders finish on 8pts only 1 of the 3 can ride in the Semi's and the 2 riders who both beat Bomber don't make it
  5. Congrats Greg, a nicer guy you couldn't wish to meet.Just wish you would grace our shores again before you retire.
  6. Cardiff will stay, the new track at B Vue has been promised the SWC by O Olsen
  7. Well after reading a few pages it seems that alot of Peeps like Jan,please bear in mind when slaging of our British commentators that others do make mistakes. During one commentary from Jan he said Greg Holder and Chris Hancock, god help Tatum or Pearson if they had said that.
  8. The guys in the Sky Studio said "there are other sporting events being televised at the same time as this" I can't remember the exact words he used after but basically he was saying the racing last night was crap and the track staff should of given us a better race track.
  9. 1st GP of the season in the home country of the current World Champion at A purpoise built 25'000 capacity Speedway track and they still can't sell it out. As for the meeting, the field was 1st class and should of provided excellent racing, unfortunately someone forgot to put dirt on the track and returned it to the O Olsen days of 1st out of bend 2 mostly wins. What has become of J Crump, could it be a case of not winning enough becomes a habit, maybe a spell back in the EL is whats needed. Well done Nicky, when it mattered most you proved the best on the night.
  10. Love him or Hate him,Tomasz took advantage of a poor Crump/Pedersen and deservedly won this years Crown.
  11. Team GB never stood any chance of winning but bronze was a relistic aim, having said that we still finnished where I expected them to finish. As for the future, well I dont see much of a future for Team GB unless the BSPA starts to put our home grown youngsters higher up on there list of priorities. There are some exciting young lads out there but they do need help.
  12. You have an oppinion Steve, and you are entitled to it. However I think you will find you are in a very small minority as most people (including the riders) think KL is an ideal place to hold such an event.
  13. The race off was held on Thursday Night,Team GB and Poland practice there today,(according to Sky )that really only leaves what is left of today after practice and tomorrow to prepare the track. Then for the event itself the track will ride completely different than today's practice and maybe even Thursday nights meeting. Maybe the Poles will have more trouble with the track than people think,to much power = to much wheel spin on Ole's super slick tracks. I'm going for Sweden to win it with the Danes Second Poland third and Team GB not far of Poland.
  14. And Niel Middleditch did..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................nope sorry cant think of anything apart from a fighting second spot with a better Team GB than we have now.
  15. I'd be surprised if Manchester City didn't make a bid for it. LOL
  16. Have I missed something, why no P Karlsson, with PK in then the Swede's could be the spoiler to the party.
  17. SS, you must be the most hypercritical poster this forum has ever had. You watch Poole week in and week out thrash other EL teams and yet have the nerve to call last nights meeting a snooze fest. Team GB may not win the SWC, but they did beat a good young Aussie side who were all KL track specialist, and if that does not get your heart beating with pride then I guess you don't have one, or maybe it is the fact that 3 of your beloved Poole team were on the losing side.
  18. That settles it then, lets get rid of all commentators and watch our sport in silence, that way all the sky commentator knockers will sleep better.
  19. When Sky pull the plug on Speedway what will you lot have to moan about then.
  20. Super meeting and one that will have new fans coming to the sport. Well done T Olsen.
  21. Phew, that makes me feel tons better, I allways thought I was the only one who doesn't have a clue.
  22. You realy need to take your yellow and black Glasses of CC, I have nothing but respect for C Harris and have often said I would love him to don the Aces race jacket, but surely Chris has had his fair share of GP chances. Britain at the present doesn't deserve a nominated rider, but maybe in a year or two young Tai will be mature enough to mix it with the big boys, as has been shown recently, that is his only downfall.
  23. speedway meeting are dangerous, we need certain obstacles in order to run the meeting ie, start Marshall checkered flags ect, what we dont need is a Professional rider acting like a spoilt school child and leaving their Bike in any place other than off the track. Tomas was a silly boy and I'm sure he now feels a right idiot however the authorities do need to take action so as to show riders that this sort of behavior will not be tolerated. I suggest a heavy fine and a suspended 2 meeting ban
