I dare say you know more than me Phil!, but I was told by a friend yesterday that an agreement with the cinema management failed to reach an agreement. Time will tell.

with what Belle Vue and their fans have been through since the new stadium was announced, those pictures make me feel proud to be a fan of the mighty Belle Vue Aces.

Why all the negativity, we have already moved the offices into their plush office in the main grandstand. The first certificate test was successfully completed last Thursday, and the final one today is the football match between old Manchester City players and cast members of TV soap stars. After that the certificate will be obtained and all systems go. The track will be fit for speedway, the racing lines will form when riders try different lines, this takes time but I'm sure that in a couple of months Belle Vue riders will know the best lines to take and other riders will learn. Like all tracks.

Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16
hyderd replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looking at the 2 sides I'd say a comfy home win for the 2016 EL runners up . 56-34 to Poole. -
parking could indeed be a problem however, if local fans could use public transport it would ease the problem for those fans who have little choice but to use their cars. There is also car share and perhaps the missus could drop their husband and kids off and pick them up in the station car park or other agreed place. Public transport is not as expensive as people think, and adult dayrider is only £4.10, 15-19 year olds can now purchase a young persons dayrider for only £2.00 (no ID is necessary to purchase there tickets) Normal league meetings shouldn't be to much of a headache for parking, but the sell out matches will/could be so perhaps the above is worth a thought. PS I live in Stockport, I am taking my grandson to his first speedway meeting, his Mum will drop us off and my wife will pick us up. No headache for me.

Shouldn't these type of posts be in a different topic, I thought this was for EL predictions
-
if people are prepared to pay £23 then Belle Vue will keep the price, but if the center Grandstand remains empty then perhaps the price will come down. At the end of the day it's about if we the fans are prepared to pay it or not, me myself I would pay £20 to sit but mostly I will be standing for £17

denying Sky would be denying speedway fans who rely on Sky for one reason or another, ie no transport, poor mobility etc etc. the chance to see British speedways brand new home, and Poole are obviously the team likely to increase viewing figures (god that last line hurt )

In the late 70's early 80's we at Belle Vue had many a great race due in the main to PC and CM being lousy gaters.
-
As a Belle Vue fan, I can't wait for tapes up.
-
things never change on here. The Belle Vue thread and low and behold once again we are talking Poole.
-
fair cop that Steve, I do apologise.
-
Poole do indeed somehow manage to field the strongest side in each EL season, would be interesting if they could complete a season with there starting 1-7
-
I read your thoughts on Belle Vue and as you say "we all have differing oppinions" you then choose to place K/Lynn higher even though half of the published team are coming back from injuries, 2 of them serious injuries. ????? This post is correct about Belle Vue, but the same rule of thumb applies to every team in this season's weakened EL that visits the NSS, on Belle Vue's side is we get to ride it more often.
-
It's not often I defend one of orion's post's, but his main point was the race night's to avoid d/up clashes,he only mentioned that the PL too has problems, he never said it was worse or as worse as the EL.

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..
hyderd replied to dump that clutch's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's a good shout, what happened with him last season??? -
at a guess I'd say at least 40% .
-
The capacity was 40,000 and many on hear will confirm that the BLRC had many meetings when the stadium was ram jam full. /en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_Vue_Aces

come on kids. leave the tickle tackle to the school playground.
-
Top 4 in no particular order, Poole,Swindon,Wolves,B Vue. 5-7 in no particular order. K/Lynn, Coventry,L/Side. Woodenspoon Leicester. These predictions are based on 7 teams not changing their line ups for the whole campaign.
-
not sure that that answers the question Phil, mutual consent maybe, but who set the ball rolling and why ???
-
It was your last few words that made me comment back (and it isn't that much difference to today..), It's no where near as good today as it was in the 70's and indeed the 80's, is this because we have stood still whilst the Poles, Danes and Swedes have kept moving ??
-
You've obviously never been to Hyde Road. The grand final to the season was the BLRC, always a full house of 40,000 fans. Each club had their No 1 rider there. Fans from all tracks around the country traveled to this meeting to see riders like, Ove Fundin,Ronnie Moore, Ivan Mauger, Ole Olsen, Terry Betts, Malc Simmons, Barry Briggs, Eric Gundersen,Tommy Knudsen, Peter Collins Chris Morton,Ray Wilson, there are loads more who I'v not mentioned as the list is endless and the racing was always first class with an atmosphere filled with friendly banter from the many traveling fans. As I said earlier, Those were the days.

Can't find the new stadium topic so had to post on here, hopefully if this link works you'll see some great shots of the new stadium and track work being carried out. https://www.facebook.com/bellevuespeedway/photos/ms.c.eJw1ydENACAIA9GNjFRKy~;6LaUK8v5drmaguAAGc1WO~_ktRYO23Lju~;5qQuhXA0M.bps.a.978526842221235.1073741833.129552893785305/978526962221223/?type=3&theate
