Belle Vue V Wolverhampton 06-07-2016
hyderd replied to GregoryM's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I normally read your posts and agree with them, but if you go into the 1st bend slightly behind the other 3 riders and end up in front just after coming out of the 2nd bend, how is that not a pass. ?? Also Worrall did pass PK along the back straight and lead PK into bend 3 and out of bend 4 before PK repassed Worrall on the inside somewhere close to the start of lap 2 -

I wonder why they didn't show heat 13 when Cookie beat Lindgren, Cracking race with Lindgren all over cookie but unable to pass him. Some people are determined to find fault at the NSS, best is to ignore them and just enjoy our new home where we see great speedway week after week. Can't wait for the WTC, I wonder who or if the track record will be broken.?? -

according to some on here (they know who they are) the NSS is like other tracks, nothing exciting, no passing just gate and go. So on their assumptions, why do we bother going to speedway. -

The usual green eyed fans!, perhaps fans is the wrong word to use so I'll start again. The usual keypad numpties are at it again, thankfully this forum also has proper speedway fans. Great meeting with good close fast racing, I thought we would get the 3 points but alas the Wolves showed why I tipped them to be the dark horses this season. If I was a Wolves fan I would feel disappointed not to of got at least 3 points, I'm not and am happy we nicked 2 points. -

Well said. I personally predicted Wolves to be the dark horses this season, and for once I seem to be correct, so with that in mind I recon Wolves are well capable of leaving the NSS with a point tomorrow, but will they. The Aces should be well fired up for this meeting knowing that 3 points is a must to keep the Wolves in check, and with our full 1-7 riding and Matje hopefully having sorted his bike problems I am going for a 8-10 point home win. -
weather in Manchester these last few days have been unpredictable with Wednesday particully wet and today very heavy showers predicted from 1700 onwards, I was going to chance going after I had dropped my Grand Daughter off at her Prom night, but a big black cloud was gathering in the direction of the Stadium so I went straight home, I'm guessing I was not alone, however the forecast for next week is an improving one so hopefully a dry track with better racing = a better crowd turnout. Happy with the result though. The guest situation is something we have to live with at these rearranged fixtures, but spare a thought for the L/side fans, Poole tracked 4 guests in a 6 man line up, and won the meeting.

Matt Fords Vision For The Elite League In 2017.
hyderd replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This I dissagree with, your own asset's give fans the feeling of "My Club,My Riders" take that away and most of the royalty amongst fans will disappear. Plus riders will be riding for money only and not loyalty. We at Belle Vue have been there for what seems an eternity, our present team consists of mainly asset riders and the feeling when we win is far better. -

Squad systems are fine, but we don't need an EL with only 8 teams in it plus the money is not in the EL to attract the top riders back. We need to go back to grass roots and form 1 league which means at least 1 meeting per week, preferably 1 or 2 race nights per week, provide good speedway without seeing the same club back 2 weeks after the last time. Speedway for me should be entertainment and not gate and go. -
Bomber is always welcome at Belle Vue.

Well done Wolves, commiserations to the Aces but surely a point at wolves is a bonus.

Just hope the weather is better, track was prepared slick because of all the rain we have had recently. -

Lindgren was better than his 10pts suggest, his two zero scores where his last 2 races one from 15 mtrs and the other in heat 15 Fricke,Cook,Thorssell then Lyngren. Thorssell was Wolves best rider and his tally of 11 from 6 rides don't do justice to his effort. Kylmakorpi was another whose score doesn't reflect his effort. Hansen's score likewise. But on tonight's showing any team will struggle to take points from us. -

Top match again tonight, 4 points from our No 1 but still hit 56 points, Max Fricke is something else this season and will go on to be a top GP rider of that there is no doubt, I did expect more from Wolves but they were just not on the boil. A mention must go out to Joe Jacobs 7+2 from 4 rides, for me his improvement is great. Still wouldn't write off Wolves though as with a full team they will trouble any other. -
I'm guessing that you are with the in crowd, so you obviously have all the answers, do kindly tell us.

I still think we are still not 100 % at our new home, with this weakened Wolves I would hope for a win, but I can see it being close 47-43 home win. -
Worrall is proven round our new track whereas Lambert isn't (World U21 was abandoned to soon to get a proper look at him), also to prove my point Steve equaled M Zagar's track record in heat 1 last Monday night,I'm not saying he will beat the might of the main countries Poland, Denmark and indeed Australia, but if he gates, and that he can then I would fancy his chances. If team GB are serious about bringing on the youngsters then I would leave out Scotty and bring in Lambert.

The track tonight shows that regardless of weather it's wet or dry the meeting should go ahead, however riders ride tracks differently in various conditions. For me if its wet like tonight I would go with Woffy, Cook,Lambert, King, Ellis seems to be other fans choice although I have not seen him yet at Belle Vue. If it's dry then the team is easier to pick IMHO.........Woffy,Cook,Worrall, Nichols. reserve is Lambert.
