  1. missed the meeting due to work, would love to see a recording of heat 11 if possible.
  2. last to 1st in heat 13 and he is class, so does that mean he was classless in heat 15 as he was last and stayed there.
  3. Wouldn't take much notice of Starman, his heads always in the clouds.
  4. He had everything he needed bar 1 to be a multi world champ, the 1 being knowing when 2nd will do. Did he ever have a full season without losing track time because of injury.
  5. Darcy Ward was an exceptional talent on a Speedway bike. I remember a topic on here about when will Darcy become World Champion, I posted, "never" simply because he doesn't know how to come second. Speedway lost a fantastic racer, yes he was a knob outside of Speedway but I prefer to remember him for the thrill and excitement he gave to ALL fans.
  6. It's the return of those percy Wolves, minus T W. Fast Freddie flies round the NSS. But to be honest I recon K B and Cookie will both be to hot for him this season. 10 point home win is my guess.
  7. So B Kurzt does not know what are the best set ups for the NSS, even though he was there scoring a credible 11 points including a win over K B last Saturday. You need to accept that this current Poole team are not as good as past Poole teams, yes you will/should win your home matches but unless changes are made (which we all know M F will do ) I think Poole will struggle to make the P/Off.s. Anyway, enough Poole knocking from me, I am to excited about this current B Vue team, yes we all know it's a weaker league but up hear in Manchester we now witness week in week out fantastic close racing, even when the scoreline suggests differently. Fantastic win from 1-7 Thanks for a great night lads.
  8. I said before a wheel was turned that Klindt wouldn't score as easily as his opening few fixtures, I based my opinion on his performance last season, when he gated (which was rare) he was fast, when he didn't (which was mostly) he was useless. 6 points from 7 rides says it all. What a coincidence, you are having a curry, most of the time you talk ****. sorry Steve, I just couldn't resist.
  9. The fact Ellis scored zero is simply because Belle Vue riders beat him in the heats he was riding in, even if he had 4 engine failures that would still be the same. Any win away from home is a good win, I'm pretty sure mdmc82 meant pretty much that. The night before at Poole wasn't a win, but it was a good result. . Your not going to persuade me that Polar is anything other than a gating tart and what I witnessed last night was a miracle... I can't put forward a valid argument for your comment as I was not at Swindon last night, however I was at the NSS for the PCMT meeting and witnessed KB passing in every heat he was in, heat 1 he was last coming out of turn 2 1st lap and all but past Kurzt the eventual heat winner. All his other heats he won but didn't make the gate in any of them. He has started this season on fire, long may it continue.
  10. Great start to the season for the Aces, I said it last season and I'll say it again. After all the bad years propping up the league, now is a great time being an Aces fan.
  11. Hmmmm, I wonder if your report would of been the same had the Poole lads got out of the traps quicker than us and sped off into the distance. I doubt it.
  12. some nights you win some nights you lose, great result though and we should go through at the NSS, but it ain't over yet.
  13. I will admit to being one of the doubtful Bjerre fans, however I am more than happy to say on last night's showing he would of beaten Fast freddie, and he flies round the NSS. The fastest time last night was 60.0, set by M Zagar in heat 15, the slowest was 60.4 set by J Garrity in heat 18. 2 heats were 60.1. 7 heats were 60.2. 10 heats 60.3. didn't get the last heats time as like everyone else I was too busy cheering and clapping for the finalists and K Bjerre's win. Whilst on the subject of our track, I would like to add my thanks to C Morton and D Gordon, as without these 2 speedway fanatics the NSS would not be here, and quite possibly the Aces also.
  14. He was, however Todd wasn't, then in a pulsating heat 14 Ben Barker, who in his previous 3 heats had scored 2, outwitted both the Kurtz brothers and stormed round the track hugging the fence, similar to D King in the British final. Todd rode a great ride to beat his younger brother into 2nd place, just 1 of many fantastic heats. Rider of the night....................K Bjerre, never made the gate and was beaten only once, that was in his first heat. last out of the 2nd bend and only just pipped on the line by B Kurtz. What a meeting........................................again.
  15. for once I agree with SS about our inexperienced reserves, they need time to adjust especially Jack. Klindt seems to be mopping up at reserve and your 2nd strings went well last night. However I fancy us to keep it to within 10 points at Poole, then win it over the 2 legs at the NSS.
  16. As it was the Race off, financially it was important to get that meeting done and dusted, so quite rightly you say properly prepared tracks don't necessarily mean good racing, but it was safe. As for the Poole fiasco on Friday night, when D Ward was interviewed and asked about the track he said "Typical Poole track"
  17. Yes very true, but it was safe,on any other track after the amount of rain that fell the meeting would not of taken place (the track record was set that day by NKI and is still 2 secs faster than the previous). The following day with perfect weather, fans at the stadium and watching on TV were treated to world class speedway racing
  18. Speedway is knocking the final nail in it's own coffin,Teams are getting weaker,GP riders refuse to ride over here (apart from 2) crowds are falling, clubs are losing money year on year, the majority of the fan base is old time speedway fan,we lost Oxford not too long ago and now Coventry. The most important attraction that speedway can give to new fans is fast, close, exciting racing. If tracks are prepared for this, riders will have confidence and be able to race thus providing the entertainment needed to keep and attract more fans. M Ford needs to listen,he has,a good fan base, a location perfect for attracting holidaying spectators, is influential on the BSPA, and a track with proven history of producing excellent racing (WTCF 2004) springs to mind. We fans should demand to be listened.
  19. You have SS and Starman, 2 Poole fans who regularly go to home matches to watch their favourite team. In their view the Poole track is fine. On the other side of the coin you have C Holder a fans favourite and regular in the Poole line up until this coming season, and Darcy Ward a favourite rider with most fans worldwide, who had a terrible accident (not at Poole I might add) and sadly will never ride speedway again. These 2 riders have condemned the track. Who knows best, rider or fan.
  20. Before having yet another dig at our old promotion, give us all a right old laugh and tell us the excuse for Poole's (Matt Ford) latest shamble. And of all matches, the Darcy Ward fund raising. Unforgivable.
