Kings Lynn Stars V Belle Vue Aces 21/06/17
hyderd replied to semion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I guess you'll be happy if Lynn go the same way as Coventry. By all means vent your frustration at your promotion, but fans staying away could lead to closure. -
New Averages For 42 Point Limit
hyderd replied to DunRobin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Personally, I felt his bike/s were slow when compared to last season, however that problem seemed to have been sorted at the British final. -
Am I alone in thinking Tai tends to back out/hold back and relies on the cut back far too much, he seems a far cry from the Tai that won 2 world titles only a few years ago.

Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirates 9/6/17
hyderd replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Most has already been said,As soon as I knew of Pooles guests I thought it would be close, and close it was, was the deciding factor heat 15?? for me it was heat 7, Brady doubled his 2nd place to 4 pts and Dan went round the outside of Newman on bends 3/4 lap 4 for the crucial 4-4 score. Belle Vue Max, rode hard for his 8 points, with a crucial pass on Brady in heat 15. Stevie. good win in heat 8, but seemed slow in his other 3 heats Kenneth,Belle Vues rider of the night, apart from heat 9 when he totally missed the gate and seemed to struggle with pace. Justin, 6 pts is fair value, but we could do with more round the NSS Craig, As Shovie has already said, started well then tailed off.Heat 4 showed what a great captain and team rider he is. Dan His gating lets him down in the top league, as he showed in heat 1, when he gets in front he is fast, very fast and imho had he gated better in his other 4 heats the score line would of been totally different. Jack, still learning, but scored more than his average, what more can one ask. Poole Batch, Poole rider of the night and showed what Poole are like with a decent number 1 Holder, 6 paid 8, some good rides from Jack, I personally rate him. Newman, some good hard rides in his last 2 heats that belied his 3 point score. Kurzt, Bad 1st ride and last ride, decent in between. Andersen, not the Andersen of old, but still very capable, especially when in front. Bates, good choice of guest, and with Batch made all the difference to this result. Shanes, was on the pace, and another 2 pt rider who didn't let himself down. -

Well said, Poole are stronger using Bates for Klindt. Kurtz goes well as does Andersen, Holder is capable. Poole will be no pushover and as already has been proved, home wins are not guaranteed at the NSS. -
From someone who wasn't there and basing my post purely on heat 14, Somerset wanted it more than Belle Vue, I think most on here have seen worse conditions. Well done Somerset on a deserved victory. Belle Vue, sorry but I think we have no excuse.

Belle Vue V Swindon Friday 19th May

I could be wrong here but technically Stevie Worrall is an asset of George Carswell and George has no input now at Belle Vue. -
Belle Vue V Somerset - 1/5/17 , 12pm
hyderd replied to WestGorton1884's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Somerset beat us at the NSS with both teams missing a heat leader, why then would they not feel they could do it again with both teams at full strength. -
You can't, totally different formats. Mark Loram won the SGP world title without winning a GP. You could only qualify for the old style World title without winning a round, the final itself had to be won. Is PC better than TW, no idea and once more we will never know, as for opinions they count for nowt.

Totally agree with you, but in the interest of speedway ie declining support, the BSPA should step in and insist on a more suitable date. -
Good meeting with some great races, I was looking forward to seeing Zach and was not disappointed, next on my list is T Brennan. For the Colts a solid team performance with stand out rider K Bickley, surely is going to be heat leader soon.

Correct, so finishing in the top 2 is the first priority. -

Well if the match can't be rescheduled I hope the R Tungate of last night is the one that turns up next time at the NSS. -

The important factor as you rightly say is finishing in the top 4, but finishing top does mean something to the fans of the club who finish there, as you know we lost to a very good Wolves team in the final last season, but I and many other Belle Vue fans still feel a sense of achievement at finishing top of the table. -

Well! sounds like I missed a great match, (just got in from work) Would we of won if Bjerre was there, he would deffo of scored more than 2 pts, but Paddy would of scored more than 0 pts. In the end Somerset got what they deserved,3 big pts. Tungate seems to be a thorn in our arse, last season he was great round the NSS helping Swindon to 4 big pts, now he returns and does the same for Somerset. Great little rider, I hope he kicks on from here as his early season form has been somewhat depressing. -
Keep an eye on Kyle Bickley, another Belle Vue youngster, he turned 15 last February, scored 4+2 on his away debut at Stoke, then topped that with 8*2 from 4 rides on his home debut against Mildenhall. Like Dan, he has a fantastic style and will go a long way in the sport.

As I am not a regular on Twitter, I only read about it yesterday, I couldn't see a topic on here about it so I started one. As you now acknowledge my reply to your post has cleared up any need for explanation, I was hoping for a decent topic where posters could/would give their opinions on Tai's tweet. The usual culprits are the ones to throw spanners in the works though. Happy now.
-
The first word in my opening post was Hopefully, Tai tweeted his "massive project has been given the green light" as of yet we can only speculate what the green light was given for, but hopefully it will be to help develop our speedway to the next level. Of course it could be something completely different, we should find out soon.
