  1. what on earth is happening to British speedway, KK, sinking so low he should be totally ashamed of himself.
  2. serious question, how come all teams in the Prem don't have to track a 2 pointer. Dan turned 18 in May this year
  3. unfortunately we live in a country that loves to put down our sportsmen and women, that includes the media. Cookie knows more than anyone on here that he let himself down, but he is big enough and good enough to put it behind him and move on.
  4. Will our home form fail us again, hopefully not. Close home win 46-44
  5. Great meeting with some good races and a grandstand finish, fans can't ask for more. I feel for Leicester, they gave it their all but were unlucky to lose their new Pole, his 1st ride he looked like a real novice, didn't take him long to sus out the racing line though, as he was 100% better in his second ride. But credit where it's due, Swindon kept it close and did what they had to do to nick a good win in the last 4 heats.
  6. I'll have whatever you've been drinking. lol
  7. Would love to see Cookie do well in the GP's, I think the bigger tracks though are the ones he could struggle with. Dan has everything to be the next British world champ apart from 1 thing, stringing together 7 good starts, he does have plenty of time though to put that right. both Kurzt and Holder have potential, time will tell how much Darcy was probably the most gifted rider of his time, but certainly not a 1 off, Peter Craven, Jack Parker, Ove Fundin, Ole Olsen, Peter Collins, Ivan Mauger, the list is endless. Darcy has joined the list of greats, sadly we will never know how great he could've been.
  8. I'ts great seeing the Aces at the top,but that means nowt unless you win the P/Off final, for me it will be another Aces -Wolves final with Wolves lifting the trophy after the 2 legs. Why, because Wolves have a good home advantage, we have none.
  9. was looking forward to this, but having checked the weather report can only see 1 winner and it don't ride a bike.
  10. He was great guesting for Belle Vue last week, Would use him again without a doubt.
  11. I wouldn't compare Woffy with those 2 right now, let alone Lambert. At 19 he still has time to reach their standard, but not yet.
  12. The way Troy rides Belle Vue I'm pretty sure he will be advising the rest of the Stars how to best set their bikes up, if our boys have their gating boots on we should win at both Poole and at home to Lynn. if not we could lose both matches.
  13. And some 40,000 would turn up at the BLRC at the old Hyde Rd back in the good old 70's, crowds country wide are diminishing nowadays.Last night's GP at Horsens had empty spaces in a stadium with a 10500 capacity. Speedway is dying, something needs doing and doing soon.
  14. Disagree there, we all knew or at least had an idea why the change was made, Mark simply confirmed what we already thought was the reason.Sedgeman has done a good job for us,but Tungate makes us stronger where we need it most, round the NSS.
  15. Your eyes may or may not be OK, it's that massive big chunk of green envy coming out of your mouth that's the problem
  16. I hope so, he has done well for Belle Vue and I thank him for that. IMHO as we have no or very little home advantage Lemon has done what a good team manager should, bring in someone with excellent scores whenever he rode at the NSS and Tungate is on a low average but scores very big round the NSS.
  17. OK thanks, so we will still get to see Tai for the P/Off's
  18. as a numpty with rules can someone explain to me what they now mean, eg do all teams who are over the new limit have to redeclare to this new limit.
  19. You make valid points and I hope the promoters at Lynn do something positive as new fans will only return if their 1st visit was entertaining, we the core fans can do our bit by venting our frustration on social media, but staying away....................?
  20. I guess you'll be happy if Lynn go the same way as Coventry. By all means vent your frustration at your promotion, but fans staying away could lead to closure.
  21. Personally, I felt his bike/s were slow when compared to last season, however that problem seemed to have been sorted at the British final.
  22. Am I alone in thinking Tai tends to back out/hold back and relies on the cut back far too much, he seems a far cry from the Tai that won 2 world titles only a few years ago.
  23. Most has already been said,As soon as I knew of Pooles guests I thought it would be close, and close it was, was the deciding factor heat 15?? for me it was heat 7, Brady doubled his 2nd place to 4 pts and Dan went round the outside of Newman on bends 3/4 lap 4 for the crucial 4-4 score. Belle Vue Max, rode hard for his 8 points, with a crucial pass on Brady in heat 15. Stevie. good win in heat 8, but seemed slow in his other 3 heats Kenneth,Belle Vues rider of the night, apart from heat 9 when he totally missed the gate and seemed to struggle with pace. Justin, 6 pts is fair value, but we could do with more round the NSS Craig, As Shovie has already said, started well then tailed off.Heat 4 showed what a great captain and team rider he is. Dan His gating lets him down in the top league, as he showed in heat 1, when he gets in front he is fast, very fast and imho had he gated better in his other 4 heats the score line would of been totally different. Jack, still learning, but scored more than his average, what more can one ask. Poole Batch, Poole rider of the night and showed what Poole are like with a decent number 1 Holder, 6 paid 8, some good rides from Jack, I personally rate him. Newman, some good hard rides in his last 2 heats that belied his 3 point score. Kurzt, Bad 1st ride and last ride, decent in between. Andersen, not the Andersen of old, but still very capable, especially when in front. Bates, good choice of guest, and with Batch made all the difference to this result. Shanes, was on the pace, and another 2 pt rider who didn't let himself down.
