  1. There are 2 facts and my opinion about these play off's Fact 1 Swindon have been the best team over a season, therefore thoroughly deserved their victory. Fact 2 Wolves put on a fantastic effort and very nearly pulled off what most fans thought was impossible without their top 2. Massive respect to the Wolves team and fans My opinion. Had the ref seen the video shown on BT, Belle Vue would of been in the final. he didn't they weren't, end of story.
  2. well done Wolves, a thoroughly deserved victory, if I was a Wolves fan I'd be asking SS to say "the return leg will be a walk in the park for Wolves"
  3. Max will be a decent No1 next season, but before we sign him back again we need to be sure of his availability, Max is young and improving fast and if British speedway can't come up with a league that chases his ambitions he may give it a miss.
  4. I was in the Grandstand, when the crash happened I could see/hear no one cheer, just horror as it was a very bad crash. The jeering/Booing started shortly after when the ref wrongly (IMHO) put the red light on. (please don't try saying Wolves fans would've acted differently had the tie been at Monmore and one of your riders excluded in similar circumstances). once Kenny was up and walking back to the pits peoples thoughts were rightly with Lindgren, as Lindgren walked back to the pits a very small minority (as at all tracks) booed, the vast majority stood and clapped Lindgren as he walked by. Yes most people cheered when Lindgren was announced as withdrawing, that was simply because he is their best rider and we hoped we could now win. Sadly we didn't and now is the time to move on. I doubt Lindgren reads these posts, but if he is I sincerely wish him a full and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him at the NSS next year, the NSS and Lindgren were made for each other.
  5. I do. cracking meeting, close racing with 2 excellent teams, could've been different with Max, but then again Wolves lost Jacob. Hopefully Lindgren will be OK, horrid looking crash which in my opinion the ref made his decision far to early as Lindgren clearly caused the crash, that's speedway though decisions sometimes go your way and sometimes they don't. Hope Wolves and Swindon put on a great final for all fans to enjoy
  6. Well unfortunately for me I got caught up in traffic at work and was to late finishing to get to the NSS for this meeting. Great win for the Aces especially after the 1st heat 1-5. Would Doyle of made the difference between winning and losing? maybe, but same could be said about the ref at Swindon. Hopefully though, the Play off semi's and final's will be fought between full strength teams on tracks not affected by weather. may the best team win.
  7. Take that with a pinch of salt, last night on BBC the forecast for Manchester today was the possibility of a light shower in the afternoon, and a dry evening.
  8. Hopefully this will be rectified at the usual winter BSPA party, I personally would like to see (throughout the sport) Gardening at the tapes made illegal.
  9. football now has goal line technology, if the ref makes a mistake, then the 4th official notifies him of the TV evidence and the correct decision is made. Speedway is so far behind we shouldn't compare the 2 sports. If the ref made a mistake then his decision from that heat should stand until the BSPA say otherwise.
  10. I,m afraid all our multi champs are fully retired from Speedway. At Gorzow I felt Woffy had turned the corner and would/could make a late stake at being the 2017 world champ, sadly he reminded me last Saturday why he wont. PS this is not a dig as I truly hope that Woffy could make it a triple.
  11. Hopefully, Woffy will also call round and teach the Wolves riders his gating skills.lol
  12. harsh words coming from the rider whose 2016 title chance was blown apart in................................Poland, and his 2017 season hampered with a broken foot sustained in ......................Poland again. Perhaps the guy Jason claims inspects the track 4 hours before the meeting needs to go to specsavers.
  13. no rain forecasted, and guess what, none has fell yet although there are a few nasty looking black clouds lingering.
  14. I said at the beginning of this season that if Belle Vue (and we were most people's favourites) finish top we would still lose the final simply because we have no home advantage. Nothing I've seen this season has made me change my mind. Having said that the sight of our complete 1-7 battling to overcome or gain an advantage in a 2 legged final AKA Wolves last season is worth it's weight in gold. Should we make the final this season, and have our full 1-7, then I see the same outcome as last season, including the racing, And that makes it all worthwhile Massive congrats to Leicester who gave it their all and were rewarded with a fine win..
  15. What can one say, I was soo much looking forward to this return to Somerset, fully expecting a full Belle Vue 1-7 gaining revenge and some what putting to bed our poor show last time at Somerset. In true speedway fashion, British meetings clashing with european ones and the injury nightmares that tend to arrive at the wrong time. Still once again well done to Somerset and a great big wish to our injured riders for a fast and complete recovery.
  16. I know it's just an example, but Belle Vue without Cookie is like fish without chips.
  17. to be honest from 1-7 a great team performance,if anything was a letdown,I would say 1 shy of 60 points against the not so mighty now Poole.
  18. you could say the same about how they treated the paying public
  19. Horsens in Denmark has a capacity of 10,400. At the recent GP there the attendance looked short of it's capacity, a second GP in GB wouldn't look out of place at the NSS which has the potential capacity of 10,000. Granted Ippo may or may not hold more fans, but for a GP, what better track than the NSS.
  20. your problem won't be Belle Vue's start time, getting to the track will, Manchester is well known for it's congestion. Good Luck, if you make it come and say hello. I will be in block B row H seat43
  21. Agree with what you say, but it still smarts for the other teams fans. Having said that heat 9 lessoned the envy a little, and the sportsmanship by both the Worralls and Woffy was great to see.
