Seems money problems are all around speedway,if Polish speedway doesn't stop paying ridiculous sums of money tied to strict contracts, then their bubble could also burst.

2018 Grand Prix Venues
hyderd replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It was always going to be a loser, the nearest large speedway audience must be Poland, can't see many fans being able to afford the time and money to travel 9500 miles x2. I was there in 2016 visiting my family, on the saturday of the meeting my first sight of a speedway fan was about half way down Bourke St, Bourke st comes out opposite southern cross railway station. The Etihad stadium is directly behind the station. Fantastic track, Fantastic stadium, but sadly I cant see them ever going to make it pay. -

2018 Grand Prix Venues

Why.stadium that holds the required minimum att, racetrack that competes and beats the best in Poland. Our governing body should be pushing for a 2nd GP now. -
If you are comparing a builder to a speedway rider then the builder might. Poland race on a Sunday so have priority, that leaves 6 days for a speedway rider to earn as much as he can during his relatively short career. For the sake of Speedway generally, all countries motorcycle governing bodies should meet in the closed season and come to sensible decisions that are fair to all countries and Riders

umm, that takes it to 0.07 over, back to the drawing board it is then.lol

My Top 20 Riders On Current Form
hyderd replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not too many years back Cookie was regularly beating J Doyle in the 2nd tier, J Doyle has upped his game massively, that is what Cookie has to do to achieve his dream. I'd love to think he could, but don't. -
indeed cost does come into it, but if a team is built on the cheap and the product shows it to be cheap, then the best track in the UK could become a white Elephant,

Really, in the league meeting at the NSS on 24/7/17 Belle Vue won 53-40 both had full 1-7. In the league meeting at Wolves on 28/08/17, Wolves won 49-41, Wolves had their full 1-7, Belle Vue were without M Fricke. Aggregate score Belle Vue 94-89 Wolves, As Ace no 5 pointed out, 2 pretty evenly matched teams. -

I'm away for a week in Harlech Wales, I have every intention of driving back to M/cr to see the Aces and Wolves clash once again. If the Wolves fans think it's a meaningless final, that's their loss. On a sour note, the weather forecast for Wednesday doesn't look to rosy. -
I've not yet seen it on TV, however I was there and from where I was seated F L was at fault. You mentioned the word "luck", well on that occasion no matter which way you look at it KB had all the bad luck (I'm not referring to FL season ending injury). The crash happened and the ref saw Kenny at fault, he got that wrong (bad luck No1) if as you say it was 50/50 someone has to go (Kenny, bad luck No2)
-
can anyone provide a link to this crash, I was there but of yet I Have been unable to see it on the TV

surely they can't drop any rider, then use R/R for said rider, if they can...............................................................................Gobsmacked.

I get the feeling Holder won't ride in the Premiership next year, but if he does I hope it's not for us. Zagar's form in the GP's just lately is better than Holders, so for me Zagar with his GP bikes any day .
